Mid April this year. In Colombia you have Semana Santa which is just before Easter, then Easter hits and the holidays are over. Cartagena is dead mid April to end of May. Things start to pick up in August.
December and January are both expensive months because most Latinos take time off then. Avoid holidays, festivals, etc. The chicas tend to go back home.
Look I'm not shitting you I went April a couple of years ago and there was one chica in the clock tower plaza after ten PM. That's how dead it was.
Oh crap. I am planning to go in May. I will try to set up some Colombiana Cupid chicas for my maiden voyage to Cartagena. Has anyone stayed at Estelar Cartagena de Indias?
Damn that sounds awful, thanks for the heads up.
How about late March? Any events or anything I should be aware of during that time?
You should be fine. Barranquilla festival happens end of February avoid that week.
Your going to find out. Honestly, most places kept trying to charge prime rates until after Easter but if you push them they will drop their prices starting end of February.
I thought you were referring to the spike in the rates demanded by the chicas, no?
I thought you were referring to the spike in the rates demanded by the chicas, no?
I was there last year in February there were some 50 guys in LDV and maybe 15 chicas. It's not hard to see everything will cost more.
Then again you can go in May and still get quoted 200 USD because you made the mistake of asking how much while breathing heavily and sweating. The market place for chicas isn't efficient. It's not the NASDAQ or anything like that. Here's how to pay the price you want to pay: just make your offer. Most chicas will accept unless you smell particularly bad etc.
EDIT:
BTW if you actually want to spend big go here: http://scandallolounge.com.br/ It's in Sao Paulo, Brazil and has fine food, great whiskey, and porn star quality women you can fuck in upscale suites. Don't go spending 200 USD in Colombia on some chica in Cartagena. It's not worth it at all.

This forum may just be the next best thing to knowing the market rate info for chicas.
Also, that Sao Paolo lounge you mentioned looks promising.
How much does it cost to rent a boat for the day? Or a yacht.

Sao Paulo is on my list of places to go next year however none of my wingmen will join me due to it being Brazil. And having never stepped foot in Brazil before, you can understand my hesitations about going alone. Something like a mansion type environment would be good for me to get my feet wet there.

Are they wanted by the law in Brazil? I don't get your hesitations about going alone either. If I waited for someone before I went anywhere, I would just be staying home.

I'm not someone that gets flashy in public nor do I go seeking for trouble (arguments, drugs etc) but still. I'the prefer to go with someone my first time then perhaps go myself afterwards once I'm at least a bit more familiar with the area.
Perhaps I'm overthinking it and Brazil may not be any more shady than Colombia.
How much does it cost to rent a boat for the day? Or a yacht.
I have researched this in the past. Basically it all depends on the size of the boat, as I recall for a smallish boat that will hold half dozen for 6 hours its about $500. -$750. USD for something nice that will wow the chicas and hold 20 your talking $2,200. To $3,000. USD for 6 hours give or take.
I recall a few years back I was ready to pull the trigger on a mid sized boat for $1,700. And searched in vain to find 2 others who would partner with me (IE $600. Each x 3) but no takers.
It would be a lot of fun!
Your phone number is tied to your SIM card. If you replace the SIM you get a new number. The only exception, which only applies when changing SIM cards from 2 companies in the same country, is if you request to keep your old number. For example, changing from Verizon to T-Mobile, you can either get a new number or keep the old one.
Changing from Verizon to Claro, that's not an option.
Is it possible for a foreigner to get a pay as you go sim card in CTG?
I'll bring an elderly unlocked sammy phone newly reset ideal for collecting chica numbers. And whatsapps.

I visited Sao Paulo a couple years ago and unless you do something stupid like head to Crackolandia, just exercise ordinary care and be aware of your surroundings.

I used to always buy them at the Olimpica supermarket (Bocagrande corner of Carrera 3/ Calle 6) but I am sure they are all over the place. I think that Tigo, Claro and Movistar of the big ones , unless one of these has been bought out or something. Just remember that they will want to see your passport. You can look for the logo, I am posting images.
If I get the burner phone and recharge will I also get a new number? I don't want to be using my number from the states if possible. Thanks for the help.
Dear Hank,
You will receive a new Colombian number when you purchase the burner phone. Just remember to get it "Recharged". It is possible that the cell phone store will not do the recharging. Again, the expression recharging has nothing to do with electricity, but rather sells you minutes of connect time, data, etc. It is very cheap compared to the US. It is also performed for you at the cash registers of most small grocery stores, gas stations, etc. You simply ask the cashier for "recharga", they tap a few keys, ask for your phone number, give them only a small amount of money, and you are good to go for a couple of weeks or more. It takes maybe two minutes. Your chica will send you pics, you can take pics of her, contact a bunch of other girls, etc. When your trip is over, throw the burner into the trash. Best of luck.
