But I have a contarian pov:- it's unlikely that she would have raised such hue and cry because Ms are very conservative people and just a doubt on a woman character would result in total boycott of that lady family and worse.
More likely it was her neighbour house and worse case the guy would have come and demanded (threatened) for more money.
But the scenario of you being lynched is quite far fetched LOL because why would the gal be alone with you in her home if you wanted to exploit her!!
Anyway the best way out of such tricky situation is to appear absolutely confident and in command of the situation. In fact you mentioned that even the gal was sweating so clearly she was super nervous. This won't be the case if she were a professional scammer!
More likely that he family fallen over hard times and she wanted to extort money!!

As for the point of view on public lynching and the bigger probability being that she's in dire need of money, I completely agree. But I wasn't going to stick around to find out what's going to happen next, no matter how confident and in command of the situation I may have been. LOL.
Secondly, as for preserving character or fearing family boycott, she said she was separated from husband and wasn't living with family either, so I don't know if she actually had such a fear. I understand that the possibility of public lynching was bleak, and worst case scenario, my possessions like phones, watch, wallet etc. Could have been taken or I might have been beaten up inside the room in an attempt to extort more money or something. But even if this 'private in-house session' would have happened, I have a family to go back to at the end of the day, and what would have I explained to them returning half beaten up and without any valuables? That I went out for some work and got looted on the way just like that? LOL.
And we're not talking about something unheard of. Remember just some time back, one of the fellow bros took a picture of Grace (Kishangarh) while in the act, sent it to his friend which the girl immediately discovered, and the dude got beaten up by the SP, his chotus and others birds? That too in the very presence of his own friend, and neither of them could do anything while their ass was being handed over to them. The guy may have been at fault to take a pic without consent, but then, the poor guy got scarred for life with that whole episode. Even fellow mongers were furious and were ready to give it back to the SP.
Also, as for the logical argument "why would the gal be alone with you in her home if you wanted to exploit her", logic / common sense really takes a toss in such heated situations. In my situation, hypothetically, if it DID escalate to the point of public chaos, and the girl would have levelled some false accusations of forced entry into the house (door was open, he came in forcibly, blah blah blah), outraging her modesty, assault / r, etc, even the police could not have helped as by law, the police is bound to register FIR in allegations of crimes against women, and here is the biggest catch: A court can convict you simply on the basis of testimony of the prosecutrix, even if there is no other evidence, at least no contrary evidence. And what would be my defence? That it was a consensual love affair? There's no background chat / call logs to suggest that. And if I say that if was a mutually agreed transaction for a fee, then I've simply confessed to solicitation charges. Trust me when I say this, these situations are very tricky and even being slapped with these allegations itself leads to a social trial with a conviction in the society's eyes. Your entire reputation is lost, and nobody wants to have this social stigma attached for the rest of their lives. In fact, that is exactly what these scamsters count on (to extort money), a person's fear of social stigma if things become public. That's why it is best to avoid getting mixed up in such a mess.
Hence I find 4 k to be a very small sum I paid to return back home safe and sound. As for the girl's innocence, earlier I was giving her the benefit of doubt that may be I overreacted. But I learnt just yesterday that she duped another friend of a friend of 1 k on the pretext of a nude video call, then connected on a normal call only, asked more money for a nude video call, then delayed it saying her baby isn't sleeping, and thereafter deleted the whole chat and not responding now (probably blocked him). LOL.
So even if I had a doubt earlier about her genuineness, I'm now convinced that she's a scamster. In fact, because of giving this benefit of doubt to her, I had not posted her pics earlier thinking why to hurt her business if she's in need of money and if I just overreacted, but after yesterday's development and on the suggestions of few of the brothers, I'm attaching her pic so that others can save themselves some trouble. As for those who have asked for her contact number, I only had her telegram ID (found on locanto by my friend) which was Ashi something (might as well have changed by now), but since she has deleted the chat and probably blocked us, I have lost access to any other details of her. But I suppose a pic should be sufficient to keep your guard up.
