As another long term resident with family here, it has certainly worked well for me. The only word of caution I would add is that if you have settled on a single favorite companion for the "roller coaster rides", as I have nowadays, to be careful not to allow the feelings that inevitably arise to affect your happy home life. I've never taken an Africa girl and there are few reports about them on ISG. Reports from my personal friends say they can be a lot of fun or a pain in the neck. My experience has been that the Thai and Laos girls are most consistent and the Vietnamese girls are more likely to change the deal in the room.
