She was making the circuit. Panama, San Jose CR, Cartagena.

To be honest, I'm not much into the snootyness of el Poblado either but there are some major beauties hanging out in Parque Lleras and the malls of el Poblado ... like el Tesoro and Oviedo.

I wouldn't call them average at best by any means IMHO.

And why just because your staying at the Mansion or Castillo can you not branch out?

A quick cab ride to el Centro, el Estadio area, la Mayorista, wherever ... big deal.

Nice report though I differ on many points you made about Medellin. I guess we all have our own take on things.

When I read for example that you can do better in Argentina I laughed.

I visit Buenos Aires quite frequently, and everytime I'm there I miss Medellin or just Colombia in general and it's friendliness.

After you pass through security, there are bathrooms on the right before you get to the gate area. You do not have to leave the security area to go to the bathroom.

Lots of dimes everywhere in Poblado on the weekends--probably the single best scene of hot hot hot girls you can find in medellín clustered together in such masses. Will they give you anytime of day? Why don't most mongers enjoy going there?

I think it comes down to the issue of most mongers a) speak little Spanish and b) they realize that these girls with their True Religion jeans ($250), Mac makeup ($100), iPhone ($450), two door compact car ($20k), their OWN half bottle of absolut ($18)--are not going to be simply impressed by you being a gringo. These girls are on your level financially (most likely bc of daddy warbucks), they have visas to travel to the US/Europe and they can be more discerning in their tastes.

Do you have a chance with them? Depends on you. Do hot chicks give you the time of day back home in the US/Europe/etc? If yes, you will get plenty of action with non-pro high end girls here. Way more than back home actually. That's the beauty of MDE--you are you * 3 down here. The problem is, if you are 0 back home, then you know that 0 * any # will always = 0.

I see the biggest Midwest dorks at the club, dancing like they are chanelling Carlton Banks, but they still have some personality I suppose and spend their time with really cute, nice looking girls.

p4p for me is fun and sometimes I prefer it to hunting non-pro tail. Why? Because it is less emotionally taxing. Work-wise, I find it is sometimes more work finding the gem p4p girl. Also, there is that sense of absolute command I feel, where my desires are limited only by my budget and my ability to pick well the girl I choose to pay.

Thus I spend very little time in Poblado. You can have the princesses.

I just went through it last night. I was flying on avianca airlines which had their gate * after the bathrooms and after the second xray machine.

To use a bathroom I had to leave the secure area and return to the gate after going through the 2nd xray(not the 1st) machine all over again. There was no other way of doing it. Other people were pissed off too.

Maybe you were traveling on a different airline.

First of all, I can't stand Face Dos.

El Castillo and la Piscina in Bogota (Santa Fe) both are heads and shoulders above any spot in MDE. All I am saying is that quality-wise, there is absolutely no question that Medellin offers sub-par p4p talent compared to other destinations. I actually met a Golden Time girl on her off day at Mystic (a disco in PTY), had no clue she was a GT girl (but I wasn't blind to the fact that she was in PTY for work). She turned out to be awesome, sweet, friendly, etc. plus a solid 9.5 to boot. We ended up spending my last three days in PTY together with no expectation of her getting paid.

I honestly don't think that your chances of meeting a sweet heart at the casas/strip clubs in el Centro are THAT much higher (maybe 20%?) than BOG or PTY. I still find I have to visit 7-10 places in el Centro before I meet a 8+ with a good personality.

I speak perfect English and live in NYC, does that mean I am picking up models and sliding into 1Oak or Rose Bar to party every night (fyi: those are two of the toughest spots to get into in NYC)?

Just because you are gringo does not mean you can bag every single hot chick in Medellin. The higher you go up the estrato social ladder, the more discerning the women become. Medellin is the type of place where a red-neck, overweight gringo working at Walmart in Montana can come down and meet and actually 'date' a pretty good looking estrato 1-2 girl. The girls are more friendlier because they perceive the gringo will be nicer than the guys around their way, and they also feel that from an economic perspective, their situation might have a chance of being improved if they can land a gringo.

The princesses of el Poblado obviously don't have to worry about this. A lot of girl 'friends' in Medellin are actually live in el Poblado, Las Palmas, Envigado, etc. I relate to them more. They have traveled, are a more cultured, highly educated, career oriented, etc. AND, important to me, when deciding when to eventually end up in a relationship with a girl, I know that they aren't there for their own economic benefit.
