i was just scanning this thread, as i try to catch up on my reporting. reporting on club paradise is about the third task in my queue, but since you ask, i will give you the briefest rundown and return with a full report in a couple of days. 3. [b]i recommend using the taxi service, listed on their website[/b]. just so you don't have to hunt for it, the number is +31 06 511 20 733. the guy's name is edwin and he drives a brand new, black bmw 7 series, a seriously nice ride... and a nice guy, too. he was very imformative about club paradise and the showboat, which is not nearly as close to centraal station, and according to edwin and previous reporting, tends to be cliquish and not as hospitiable to foreigners and single men -- prior reservations are required for single men to go to showboat, but edwin even recommends them for couples. you never need a reservation to go to club paradise, but my experience with swinger clubs is that clubs sometimes cap the number of single men, if they allow them at all. on the ride back to my hotel, edwin told me about a couples only club, which he claims if full of very beautiful people. that club is about an hour’s ride (95 euros fare) and costs 100 euros for [i]couples[/i] to enter, but he claims it’s sensational. i have some reason to trust him. on the way to the club, i realized that the assortment of currency in my wallet included only 10 euros, a little shy of the requested fare. rather than waste time at an atm, he told me that i could get money at the club and pay him, when he returned to take me back to my hotel. although i was propositioned by multiple taxi drivers, as i left the club, i waited for edwin. i confirmed that his rates are the standard amsterdam taxi rates… but a much better experience, all around.

4. [b]reasonable and very interestng pricing structure, posted on their website.[/b] singles pay an entry fee plus the cost of drinks, which are sold at standard bar rates -- 3€ for a beer, i think. you settle up when you leave. couples don’t pay an entry fee but have drink minimums. there are plates of snacks around the bar and disco and a cold buffet… i ate from the buffet on my first visit and don’t recall there being any hot food. it was nothing remarkable, but there was no extra charge for it. in comparison, i actually look forward to the extensive buffet that is inclusive with the entry price at beverly.

Yes, actually I made a visit to JB last December on a Sunday evening, my very detailed visit report can be viewed (check Amsterdam Private Houses thread, December 2007) for overview/experience.
