They didn't tell me the reason, just a receipt with a "visa refused" written, so I can only speculate, but the refusal was [I]probably[/I] due to them not liking the number of previous Thai visas in my passport (about 4-5 over several years, does not seem excessive to me, nor to the [I]other[/I] consulate).

My experience for what it's worth. I thought it would be hard to get women to let me photograph or videotape them. Almost all were okay with letting me take a picture of them clothed. I wish I had asked more women for pictures. I just assumed they would say no so didn't ask. The 2 I spoke about above, I had weeks long relationships with, so that might be part of why they let me.

Anyway, if you want to videotape or take photos, just ask. Many will say okay. None seemed to be bothered by me asking.

I am returning to Thailand for 7th time in April, will primarily be in Pattaya, but I am creating my itinerary (12 days) which may include some day trips to Cambodia, or the Islands. I may not want to take along my big suitcase. Are there any facilities at the airport which will hold luggage for a few days?

Second. I love fishing, inland, any one have information on locations, guides, facilities which they recommend- I found several not be be dependable.

I like to mix tourism, good food, and good hotels on my visits, and a few ladies, so I will appreciate your help, and I can be called upon for information as well. Cheers.

However, reaching the place after a 10 HR long flight, there was limited energy to go out and explore immediately and that is where I was looking for guidance and sharing information (which happens to be the main purpose of this forum, ain't it?

First time heading to Thailand.

I've decided to leave during Songkran again. I know Songkran in bkk is April 13th to 15th. Can anyone confirm the dates in pattaya? I read 11th to 20th but I recall songkran only being a week long in pattaya.

Some locals have told me that things get back to normal on 20th but I think I will avoid the place when I visit in April. Hope BKK is less splashy, at least it is only the weekend in BKK (13th, 14th and 15th).

But I have been through 5 Songkran Weeks in a row here in Bangkok and none of them only lasted 3 days, not even the one following the King's passing. Not in the bar areas at least. I think you can count on Thursday the 12th being the start of the Water Wars in the bar areas if not the afternoon of Wednesday the 11th.

All it takes is one eager beaver per block who just can't wait to be the first to soak a Farang (or a fellow Farang) with a sneak attack to get things started. And there is no shortage of them by the dozens per block all over the city and especially within 2-3 blocks of the bar areas.
