Yep, I too started using condoms in the 90's.
Older mongers like myself have been more fortunate than the younger ones. I've been lucky enough to have mongered bareback for 20 years during the 1970's and 1980's when condom sex was just not done. During that time though I was not as lucky at the BB mongers on this board who never get STDs. I got various types of STDs on numerous occasions resorting eventually to befriending a pharmacist and having my own store of anti-biotics. Then came AIDS and for me even more troubling anti-biotic resistant STDs so I adjusted to the new normal of CFS.
I have also said it before having a daughter with a Colombian chica and having that daughter end up walking the streets of Santa Fe and being banged by you blokes is enough to send a guy bonkers.
I'm a little younger and my sex life started in the 80-s. In my old country there was no AIDS epidemy and no half-decent condoms either, so we didn't really concern ourselves with that shit. I began using condoms when I moved to the States in the early 90's and learned all that shit about AIDS. And the prospect of an accidental offspring tying me down was terrifying too, so it was a no-brainer, really.
I must admit I do hate condoms, though, and getting older I hate them more and more, but the risk is real, and the alternatives are bleak.
