RG[/QUOTE]That time of night EDSA complex is about a 15 minute drive, give or take a little. MBC and Ermita are at least 30 minutes. I think you may be referring to the Heritage, not the Hyatt. There are a few other hotel options in the EDSA area. One of them is SOGO, which can be gotten on foot across a footbridge over EDSA. The SOGO is a cheap, short time hotel by design. Some people report that the walk may be a little risky at night, in which case a taxi from in front of the EDSA complex will cost about 50 pesos, travel about 300 meters, and make the lady feel she's traveling in comfort. Manila Airport Hotel could be convenient if you are flying to Cebu on PAL from Terminal 2 (in which case you can walk to the terminal), but if you're going on CP Air, it is not close to Terminal 3. Two other disadvantages of the Airport Hotel: many of the rooms have two twin beds; the taxis waiting in their parking lot (for toting the lady home) have jacked-up prices, and flagging down a taxi from out by the road can be time-consuming when you have limited time to get in-and-out, as it were.

I was back in Philippines this year but didn't return to EDSA. That's not to say that I didn't like it there or there weren't pretty girls, I just thought that it was very expensive compared to Angeles. However, for your purposes it's perfect.

It's worth noting that EDSA is not just the name of the gogo complex, it's also the name of the motorway that it's on, as well as the name of a hotel. To avoid any confusion say to the taxi-driver 'Heritage Hotel, EDSA'. From the hotel, you will see the bars. The complex has a central food-court surrounded by doors for the gogo bars. I'm not sure whether much has changed but on my visit in 2010, clockwise from the entrance the first bar is Pit Stop, then Space Girls, Firehouse, Cotton Club, Bullets & Arrows and Samba. I visited all of these but didn't get chance to go to Casino, the final bar. Here's what I wrote in my report:

"It was difficult to differentiate between the bars as most had a similar number of girls, of a similar age and quality. Even drinks cost the same (110 pesos for a San Miguel Light). In my opinion though, Bullets and Arrows was head and shoulders above the rest in terms of atmosphere and quality of girls."

I was impressed by Bullets & Arrows as it had the prettiest girls and the largest quantity too. The other bars had between 12 and 15 girls but Bullets & Arrows had 20. Since you will need to be taking a girl quickly with a flight to catch, I'd recommend that as a start point. Space Girls was my second favourite and then the other were pretty similar. Of course a lot can change in two years though.

As Radical Guy points out, EDSA complex is closer to the airport than Manila Bay Cafe. It takes about ten minutes to get a taxi from EDSA to MBC.

Enjoy yourself in Cebu. I recently posted reviews of all of the gogo bars in the Mango area on the Cebu thread. BG's Bikini Bar is the creme de la creme although there are plenty of pretty girls available for a fraction of the cost of the EDSA bars.

Another choice for you is StarFleet, about ten minutes away from the airport by cab. Ask the cabbie to take you to the top floor for drop off. Various levels of service / prices offered, I have only opted for the top service at 2000 pesos for the room (plus equivalent tip). It's pricy by A. C. Standards but top drawer entertainment for those with just a few hours layover, so to speak. For this you get showered and a body slide, for starters. Bon apetit!

Problem with EDSA is that once you are in you want to look at all the bars, then you wait for the girl to change then you look for hotel. Its just too much time wasting if you want action. MBC is far simpler, no waiting for the girl, with Hotel Amazonia 30 meters away. Airforce 1 and Starfleet are also good options, probably the best options if you just come from a long flight and you need to continue on.

Tell the EDSA gal that you are crazy about her and you will give her (or the mama) 50/100? Pesos if she's at the door in five minutes, and I think you could save the time and money of taxis out to MBC.

Mcdonny is right, EDSA EC does create a very enjoyable, yet self destructive, mood. The next set of dancers might be better, the next-door bar might have a better gal, and if you find a stunner, she might still be there after you've bounced (crawled for me Brit friends) thru a few of the bars. You could end up drunk and left with the dregs.

I just visited the immigration office in Makati (on Buendia at corner of Paseo de Roxas). Completed the form, paid my 3030 pesos, and was told it would take 2 hours. I didn't want to wait around so I picked it up the following morning. Note: this form mentions a NBI form that needs to completed too, but this isn't relevant and can be ignored. This visa extension is for 38 days, which begins upon the completion of the initial 21-day period, so 59 days in total.

Hi guys. First Post on ISG and this is my FR of my time in PH.

Spent 17/09. 21/09 in Manila for business. That's a lot of days for fucking! But I only went out for one proper night. Meetings everyday and having flu was really bringing me down. Hotel I stayed at was the Richmonde Hotel Ortegas. As has been previously reported, this hotel has the mix of just being average, whilst being far from everything else. That said, you are close to some of the main malls and the hotel's superior rooms are very good value for money, clean and comfortable. Just don't buy their shitty breakfast buffet or have their dinner. Chef must be retarded.

Since my colleagues were at the same hotel, didn't really want to risk bringing a lady back. FYI, I've read the Richmonde is GF. I decided to hit Quezon Ave at around 10pm on a Wednesday. Got the taxi to bring me to Classmates KTV. Taxi BTW took 15 mins from my hotel. 150 peso. At this time the place was completely empty. The set up is a huge room with comfy looking sofas towards a cat walk, back rooms for KTV and upstairs for personal one to one. Was 1000 peso cover charge to sit in the lounge and watch some girl dancing on the stage. Furthest away from the lounge entrance there is the room where they hold the girls. There was about 70-80 young girls in this room that grades from 6-9 of all sizes and shapes, in less than attractive school uniforms. Great selection. To be honest, I was a little taken back by the number of girls, so prepare yourself men! The price if I'm not mistaken is 1k per hour for the girl to sit and drink with you. To go upstairs for action, it's 8000 for the girl and 2-3000 for the room. Such a rip off! 11k in total goes a long way anywhere else. You can negotiate 4000-5000 for the girl excluding room price, but still too expensive.

Felt abit despondent walking out of that place. Didn't want to go to the famous bars for FL at this time, and mess around at a Sogo Hotel either. Next door to Classmates is Kremlin spa / massage. Owned by the same management, so I felt I might be wasting my time having a look. This massage place is quite unique I feel. There are three floors of varying quality in 'services' provided. The basement is Gulag class, next up is Politburo and top floor is Bolshevik / Czar. Pricing is below.

Gulag. 700 room (HJ for sure, but FS is girl's choice. Price is 700 for FS).1hr.

Politburo. 1200 room. 1200 min for FS. 1hr.

Bolshevik / Czar. 2200 room. 2500 min for FS. 1hr.

Gulag appears to be semi-legit. 700 for a massage. Might need to tip for the HJ, not sure since I didn't try. I asked for a line up and initially the manager said it was randomly assigned. Insist on seeing and he will bring out the girls. He had 3 on offer and I'm sure these are the girls that do FS. Only one was of a nice height and had an athletic body. 6.5 grade, all wearing massage uniforms. I sort of liked these better than the school uniforms I saw earlier. I said I would take a rain check, since I thought the pricing would be okay at this place. Next stop, Bolshevik / Czar class. Go through the glass doors and talked to the friendly manager, and he will lead you to fish bowl (with no one way glass). Around 30 girls here, grade 7-9, looked quite interested and up for action. Definitely some quality here, but I was put off by the pricing. Especially when I know FL is much cheaper. That said, next time I will give this class a try for sure. I nearly took the dive here, but I wanted to check out Politburo class. Manager of this floor was genuinely friendly. Another fish bowl with just less than 20 girls. Quality drop here. Mostly 6-7. Had this look on their faces of being abit desperate. Guess that's what happens when you are put in a lower class! Manager recommended two girls; young girl playing on her phone and one walking into the room. The girls were ugly or fat, in that respective order. Our manager needs to have his eyes checked! Anyways luckily for me there was a gem here, a 8. 5 spinner. Not sure why she was in this class.

I booked this girl and paid 1200 at the counter. Some staff lady took me to the room and asked me for a drink. Was 100 for bottled water! Anyways the room is modern, with alot of wood and some spa decor. Very good compared to some Thailand places I've been to. Room is abit cramped though and the shower is one of those plastic rectangles. If you're tall, you won't fit inside (I am 5'7). Girl comes in and she is better looking face to face, around 5'5 slim body but small breasts. She had a great attitude and was considerate throughout. We got out clothes off and she washed me down in the shower. If you are too tall to fit in the shower, I think they throw you out at this point. After the shower she asked me if I wanted a massage or to do 'something'. I asked for the massage, which BTW was shit. I teased her about it and made her shy. Then we got down to business. My girl french kisses, BBBJ but warned me not to CIM haha. Put cap on And then standard missionary, scissoring, behind standing and behind rifleman position. Had a little rest and BBBJ. Watched a little of tv and hugged abit. Discovery Channel with a bloke cutting his arm off. He had the fat girl the manager recommended earlier and walked away looked unhappy and no goodbye to the girl. Didn't have the chance to repeat business at my hotel. Was way too busy the rest of the week. But yeah, definitely something to remember. Will return next time do give Bolshevik class a spin if I am with colleagues again.

Other experience of PH was visiting 'Asian Entertainment Club and KTV' on Roxas Blvd with my colleagues. This place blows. Drinks are reasonable and it's a dirty lounge in front of a stage. Place smelt of sick. Show starts at 8pm. Just some trashy dancing by some low grade girls. Place full of Japanese but they kept moving out. Got a line up for my colleague and these girls are well past their prime, that said there were 7 grade girls on tables with customers. FS for 7-8k upstairs but definitely not worth anything on show.

Staff were not able to call one or were too busy. And when one showed up, he wanted to charge me a few hundred to get to the airport.

Had a weird experience in Firehouse. Was told by mamasan and girl the bar fine (1650php) is separate from what you pay the girl. Was quoted 3000php for short time. Have you seniors heard if these outrageous rates?
