This is the kind of girl who thinks Farangs are stupid enough to fall in love with massage parlour girls..No tip for Noon, and no repeat business from me, as you can guess!
The only think I can guess from your report is that you are a young, mean spirited, narcissistic fool.
Went back to Addict around lunchtime. I brought a friend who is new to the Bangkok oily scene, but no stranger to Working Girls. He selected one of the girls I've been with before, and whom I reviewed here. I picked a new girl named Noon who's only been here for 6 days and comes from Chiang Mai. She has light skin and a bit of Chinese type. She looks a bit older, maybe 28, and is short, I'd say 1m57. Her English is really excellent.
In the room she said "you look so interesting, it's your eyes" and asked me to spell my name, if I was married, what I field worked in, and what company I worked for. I smelled a rat. I gave fake answers to the first three and point-blank refused to answer the last one. I would certainly not disclose such private information to a masseuse. This is the kind of girl who thinks Farangs are stupid enough to fall in love with massage parlor girls. Well, statistically she may be right, but she'd fallen on the wrong guy. I don't want to be stalked.
Anyway, it was all going fine, she was very bubbly, talkative and funny, seemed genuinely at ease and pleased to be here. She undressed me very sensually, which was the best part of the massage, and started soaping me up. At some point in the shower she discovered I liked Thai food and blurted out: "Then you need to marry a Thai wife so she can cook Thai food for you!" Clearly she meant a Thai woman such as herself. What would you have answered to that, dear readers?
I answered "No, I'll hire a Thai cook instead, it's much cheaper". She made the face of not understanding what I was talking about, so I clarified: "Marriage is very expensive". For some reason, that completely killed the good vibe between us. From then on she did not speak, tried to prolong the non-sensual part of the massage beyond what I know to be reasonable, tried to keep her towel on while she was massaging me, and tried to make me come very quickly once the act was underway by licking my nipples. All of which I parried as best I could. In the end I took control and started pounding her doggy style. I made her sweat and I made her face get flushed red, so that must have made some kind of impact. But I couldn't care less to make her come against her will, so I just shot my load in her.
No tip for Noon, and no repeat business from me, as you can guess!
WTF. You have no business in this type of establishment!
It's funny I read this today.
If anyone (not just a sex worker) ever tried that on me I would've done the same. You did well. I think I would've dodged the answers with "it's a Thai company" for the last question and a "maybe, one day" to "Then you need to marry a Thai wife so she can cook Thai food for you!", knowing that she would've changed mood if I had said "no" or anything else.
The trick is to play along and avoid direct answers and give her a sense that you're not refusing.
Since you can't get your money back and leave at this point you might as well get the service you want. Once the service is over and she asks to exchange numbers, emails etc. Just give her something fake and leave.
I say it's funny I read this today because a neighbor (who never asks anything and is always private and respectful) dared to ask me where I was heading today. Ofc, I didn't answer, ignored him and left.
Thank you for the advice, TigerCountry, I will definitely dodge the questions, avoid direct answers, and give something fake next time.
Some girls think they will come to BKK and find a host, I mean husband, in a few days. When they don't they start to get bitter.
Goatscrot, it seems that I got a close-up look at the precise moment when they start to get bitter.
Just play along, lie if needed.
Pita123, I'll just focus on the positive part of your reply.
Goatscrot, it seems that I got a close-up look at the precise moment when they start to get bitter.
Doubt it. Penny to a pound that if I went there tomorrow (and sadly my plan is to go straight to Pattaya) I would find a lovely friendly playful girl. From your repor she would certainly be high on my 'to visit' list. But then I don't have realtionship issues.
Since you asked, my answer to "Then you need to marry a Thai wife so she can cook Thai food for you!" would have been something like "Yes, but first I need to find sexy beautiful Thai lady. Do you know any sexy beautiful Thai ladies?" with a twinkle in my eye, to which the lady would probably smile demurely. I would then say, as if with a sudden flash of realisation,"Wait, but you are sexy beautiful lady!" "OK, you want marry me? You come live England with me?" Etc, etc, with mounting enthusiasm, at which point we are both laughing as I suggest I smuggle her back in my suitcase. The ice is broken, I've given her lots of flattery without sounding too pathetic, and we're both having alaugh. She knows I'm not serious, but we both play along.
Try it next time.
Thank you for the advice, TigerCountry, I will definitely dodge the questions, avoid direct answers, and give something fake next time.
You must craft the language you use to suit your personality. Remember,"different strokes for different folks".
What Mouse1 said may work very well for you, but if you're more serious and less playful you can also say "maybe, one day if I meet a very sweet and loving Thai girl" to "Then you need to marry a Thai wife so she can cook Thai food for you!" which will also work very well and avoid any bitterness.
However, the general advice everyone has given is the same:
Just play along.

A neighbour "dared to ask you where you were heading"? What a complete bastard, eh?
OK, maybe it's a cultural thing, but whatever happened to openness and honesty?

When a Thai asks you "Where are you going?" or "Have you eaten yet?" it's just a polite greeting. The answer isn't that important. It's the Thai way of saying "How are you?" or "What's happening?"

The rest is just overkill for me. But I prefer to play it in the unspoken / twinkle in the eye register than in the cocky / funny register.
Quite frankly I can't believe I'm getting any grief for withholding sensitive information from a Thai hooker. I thought all of us here had a healthy respect for the manipulative talents of these lovely ladies. Collectively they have filled planeload after planeload of broken-hearted, penniless Western men. Not that it bothers me much, as long as I take the necessary precautions to avoid becoming the next one.

Thais are prone to ask a lot of questions that westerners would consider nosy. Its a cultural thing. Some Thais like to inquire about things that are not really their business. They can be very gossipy and secrets are not safe. Some westerners can be a bit nosy too, and then it is directly against the culture, and therefore more disturbing.
A Thai could easily ask you how much money you make per month. A normal question in Thailand.
When people you don't know at all ask where you are going. 90% of the time they are looking for a way to earn some money, so you really best not tell them. E. G. I say I am going to eat at Tii Porchana. The other person might say that my restaurant is closed and not operating at the moment but can offer to show me a good alternative (with bad food and commission for the introducer). Its best just not to get into discussions like this. Just the same as you don't want to talk to a taxi driver that has parked his taxi and got out to try to get a customer. Always hail a taxi that is driving past is much safer.

Seems to me you made what should have been considered a joke in regard to getting a cook, and she either didn't understand it or found no humor in it. As for giving them personal info? Why should anybody have to do that? Been in Bangkok only 6 days? Many working girls claim that. These girls, especially bar girls who get to practice on many Farangs each day, often are highly skilled button pushers but will back off a target once the target reads them. In your case, the girl doesn't seem that bright actually.

I think she was just being friendly. But I suppose my point was how to stay on top of the situation so you don't get fleeced, or even just have a bad experience. Me, I'm light and frothy and fun on the surface, but a hard-nosed bastard underneath. Most girls like me but a few who push too far see the less attractive depths, and we don't see each other again.
Depends on what you define as nosy. Thais are prone to ask a lot of questions that westerners would consider nosy. Its a cultural thing.
This is also true of Indonesians, who have a reputation among people from other countries in the region for being very friendly. Indonesians consider it more polite to ask questions that prompt other people to reveal something meaningful about themselves. It shows they take a real interest in the other person. Complete strangers will also establish eye contact and smile as they walk past each other. Strangers standing at an intersection waiting for a light to change so they can cross he street will routinely strike up a brief conversation. To ignore one another, the way we would, is considered very rude. The most common question I was asked was whether my parents were still living. Mine were at the time, so I'd answer yes. This would always evoke a big smile and an enthusiastic comment about how nice that was. The person asking the question would then remark on his or her parents' well-being. If the person asking the question was over thirty, they would almost always state that their father and in most cases both parents had died.
