Even probably this raids have been related to the "internet cleaning activity" which has been the main focus for all police departments from middle of March to middle of October, there is still a doubt that this has been the first sign for a "Dongguan Session". But from our view all the sauna clubs and escort agencies who got raided this year have been very "active" in the internet undo caught attention by that, but no one can be really sure about that.

Actually there is a rumor that the "investigation journalists" left the city, so as more sure the venues will be about that, as less they will close to prevent trouble, which is mostly the reason why you will end up in front of a locked door.

I checked out some reviews here but the places seem a bit far from where I plan to stay. It is a Marriott courtyard in Zhabei district. Courtyard Shanghai Puxi. It look sort of northeast on the map.

Any recommendations for a place that is within 30 minutes by cab?

Actually the DG big raid was 2 years ago. Of course its a "central gov" decision. Not so much about prostitution but as a way to get back at Zhou Yang Kang and his buddies (whom owned a big part of the 5 star hotels with prostitution rings in Dongguan). There are many articles explaining this purge. Some even ask: will it stop with Zhou Yang Kang or will they keep going after the Jiang Zemin clan (Zhou was Jiang's n2) which is known as the "shanghai band" since he used to be mayor of SH...

Noone knows how all this is going to end but one thing is sure there will be loads of collateral damage.

I know a guy who is CP right now and he sent me a WeChat message yesterday saying "SZ is still better than CP". He is an ISGer so he will post a report over the next couple of days.

BTW, I recently posted access to the original video that was the trigger for the whole disaster. It is on the DG thread. FYI.

My personal belief is that the "3 vices" campaign will continue until the Bun Emperor feels safe from the Toad Emperor faction (The Shanghai Gang). The Toad had installed his factional supporters in the most important positions of Government all over China. And these guys installed many more underlings to support them. So the Toad / Zhou Yongkang network is still powerful. Many more tigers and flies need to be taken down before China settles.

However, the continuing Yanda may be less public as the general populace has become pissed off at the revelation of the billions or RMB that the tigers had stashed away. Stashes of $US19 billion or more were not uncommon.

The Toad was so powerful that in 2008, years after he had 'retired', even the army would not move to assist the victims of the Sichuan earthquake until the Toad personally gave the order. Poor young Facially Paralyzed Emperor, was left fuming at the site of the earthquake and totally powerless as the army would not respond to his orders. How about that for power!

I always regretted I never had a chance to visit their flagship store: The Number 5 Club.

Actually, Owen got in touch via Wechat to explain that the JiangLi is reopening in another venue. I'll wait for SNL's verification.
