It started to feel like a setup, but any advice would be appreciated.[/QUOTE]Now a days a new scam is going on where the scammers are calling people on their whatsapp in which the caller has a police officer DP, and when you receive the call they make some bullshit stories like someone related to you has been arrested or found committing some xyz crime, they fucking sound it so real and genuine that some people do get scared and when these scammers sense that they demand a certain amount of money.

I got a same call last week on my WhatsApp but I didn't entertain it as I already knew about the scam going on, also to share an experience from my early mongering days, some 3 years back I was sacammed by a SP for 4 k and when I requested him to give my money back he started threatening me that he will spread my number among WGS and tell them to file harassment complaint against me after which I received a lot of message from different numbers but instead of panicking I just called him and abused him really bad bluffing that I belong to a very influential family and that I'm a nephew of a sp and now yi don't need my money back but I will bloody find you and take the money out of you throat and then just blocked him. Now after which I never received any message or call from any number or anything though I lost my money, these people thrive on people's fear and extort money.

See if I was in your place I would have confidently just said to him that I have not committed any crime and I will talk to my local police authorities about it to enquire about your call as I have some connections to police and which I really do because mongering is a risky business and it helps some times.

In a legal career, I advise ignoring or blocking the number. Cop or any legal entity, if they have a case, must send you a notice and / or warrant for questioning. Unless it is homicide and they are investigating, they rarely call you and threaten you. There are some cooked elements; they try to catch some low-hanging fruit by cold calling for bait. You have the right to refuse to talk, and if they insist, you can tell them they can send you legal notice and talk to your lawyer.

Recent trend was to call and tell a packet with some drugs were found out by customs and you're now prime suspect. This I guess is the updated form.

Initially I told him I don't know any girl and blocked him. He kept calling from other numbers. I finally lost it and gave him 2 minutes nonstop gaali (using the worst Hindi words I know). Also did a bit of you donno who I am and where my connections are type of shit.

At the end of the rant, he started laughing and accepted it's a scam, LOL. Even had the audacity to tell me in Hindi "You seem like an old player in this scene".

LE will never operate such schemes on phone. With call recordings and such, it is like shooting their own foot. If they ever want to blackmail you, they will call you to the police station and handle it in person. Again these things happen only if you are caught red handed in a raid or something. Never for sending a Hi to a gir.

Tried Leena from Penang Spa recently. Looks like pics but is a lot thinner. Massage was decent and was ready for B2 B and FS for standard rates. Took FS but she acted really weird during the service.
