It's always been a guy I talked with, I've never spoken with a girl to arrange her coming to my place. I also always have them come directly to my room, I don't meet them in the lobby. There have been times I did not like what they looked like and gave them 100 k just to go away, but not often. I've never once had them not show up, but there have been times they have been up to 3 hours late. I don't ask them many questions though. I just ask them to send me a photo via whatsapp and if I like the photo, I agree to have her come.

I received PM's from 5 different guys here on this site and I sent every one of them the phone numbers for the vitality massage, but I haven't heard back from even one of those guys as to whether they tried the massage nor have I seen a report from any of them.

Got one for 1 hour at Rp150 K. I knew that low price could not include anything naughty but I wanted to check out the girl first. The girl came over on time and proceeded to do a very good oil massage. No hanky panky at all. She said that the boss had several we chat accounts and that all my communication had been with the boss. She was just sent to do the job. She only got Rp30 K from the Rp150 K. Wow. That's crazy. She told me the story about the business. Apparently, the girls make money by offering extras. If you don't offer extra like her, the pay is very low. If you discuss extras up front, the boss pretty much keeps most of it. Hence, she said if you want extras, some girls will do it but offer the girl directly during the massage session. I was happy, the girl did a good massage and it was fun way to spend an hour. Not expensive at all at only Rp 150 K. Will do it again.

I just want to make sure that I understood what you wrote, which is that you had a good one-hour massage but that you received no extras because the girl does not offer extras.

If that's true, then. Considering that she told you that she would only make 30 K for her one-hour session, did you at least try to ask for extras? I find it hard to believe that any Indonesian female masseuse would refuse to give at least a hand job if a decent amount of cash (50K or so) were offered.

From reading the original post, I understood that the girl was advertising extras but she was explaining the model, I. E. Negotiate with me and pay me directly. I agreed with you that 30 k is a pittance, and I would find it hard to believe that someone would go through all that trouble for that.

My post may not have been clear. I did not ask about extras when I booked the masseuse. She was chatty and explained about the way its done. The girls offer extras at the end of the session). She made it clear she did not do that. I gave her an extra Rp50 K as a tip as she gave a good oil massage and had a charming personality. She was young. She said 22, and had braces, and strong hands. The other thing is she had big eyes and sexy dark skin and she mentioned that many Bule asked for her cause they prefer the exotic look. She had regular clients in the upscale Kemang and Kuningan areas. I had never used WeChat before. Hope my next experience is as good.

Excuse my ignorance but do you need a VPN here at all? I've been struck by the really inconsistent internet service and patchy network and sometimes simply can't access certain sites including this esteemed online organ. I'm used to using one in China but not clear what the deal is here.

Decided I will not extend my contract and will go ahead and take my trip to Indonesia in August.

Still a good 3-4 months away but I am stoked. Excited to compare it to Manila and Bangkok in terms of getting women.

Trying to decide if I want to stay 2 weeks and go out partying a lot or stay 4 weeks and keep things cheap (small dates near or in my apartment).

I have stayed at four and five star hotels in Jakarta and some have this implemented maybe 95 percent of the time, others more sporadically, and its seems others not at all. If access to this forum is important during any stays in Jakarta, it would be good to arrange a back-up way of accessing it.

I really liked KL, and there are may options (read the forum), but it pales in size to Jakarta, and in general is more expensive. There are very, very cheap flights between KL and Jakarta, so if you have time, hit both!

I've gone through the last 11 pages of this thread and some people are reporting that 1.5 million rupiah is the new floor rate after negotiation with girls at the popular clubs. Is this true? If so, seems quite expensive for a country with this level of development.

He told me the going rate was around 1.5 million. But it should be added I don't think he is terribly price sensitive so may not always negotiate the best deals. He also wasn't real clear about whether this was for all night, although I suspect that is what he was referring to.

On the other hand, if the US Dollar is one's base currency, 1.5 million is not much different from 1 million a couple of years ago. But it is difficult to think that way when you have rupiah in your wallet.
