I called the 1930 helpline for filing a complaint, the person at the other end pinged me separately from an unknown number, asked us to share aadhaar card and other documents over whatsapp. Said he will make a report for us and we can take it to the police station.

No govt employee will ask you to share your aadhaar card. Also, on trucaller that number came up as suspicious.

So just be safe while reaching out to such helpline numbers.
