all this recent self-congratulation "we are a dying breed because we respect women" is as hollow as saying "we support this and that charity because we're doing it for the children". i think we all respect women here (i haven't read any posts advocating beating women, so far). a man doesn't get a lot of pussies without the women feeling that he treats them well. any more sanctimonious and i'm going to read about "beauty is only skin-deep","i like my chicas for their personality and attitude on life, regardless of their looks".

i am an agnostic in whether to give or not to give money / gifts to chicas. i'm a pragmatist. i'm a beginner in mongering in dr, and i'm fine tuning my game as i am developing it myself. my thought process, going into my last trip, was this:

1. my days off from work were limited. my trip was only 5 days / 4 nights. as much as i'd like to waltz in a local joint in sd and charm a different woman into bed every night, i could not afford to play around with the low probability of success. let's say i came up empty after chasing girls all morning and afternoon, my only resort for the remainder of that day is to go to a casa or wait till 3am when a chick gets off work from a casa. i would've wasted a whole damn day! once i identified my need for solid "dates", i looked towards cupid dot com for solutions.

2. on cupid dot com i did look for chicks who would like me for who i am. not for lack of trying, i started one and a half month prior to my trip. i chronicled my attempt here in the sd thread. i met a few with whom i had good conversation and / or "mutual admiration" (or so i thought) ; but they all fizzled out. i then was awaken to the realization that cupid dot com is just a marketplace where foreign men make offer and dominican women try to win the bid. by then my trip was fast approaching and i knew i had to come up with a different strategy over the "slow talk and relationship building".

3. i just cut to the chase and sent messages to the ones i wanted, even the ones i have spoken to before but really didn't get anywhere, with the message being "hey i'm coming to town let me know if you want me to pick up something for you from the us". bingo! i got a lot more responses; if a girl is interested in my offer, only then did i do the relationship building thing; or more precisely, ironing out our deal / dates. i don't prefer this, but such is the nature of the women on cupid dot com. some of you are going to say no they are all not like that. sure, but that would be the exception, not the rule.

4. in advertising or in speech-giving, the most important thing is "to know your target audience". do i want to fuck intelligent women? so that after heavy banging we can smoke cigarettes and talk about sartre and existentialism? oh yes you bet. (by the way, kudos to tempoecorto. how in the world did you meet a dominican woman who later went to the book fair? even american women don't read books, not to mention go to a book fair.) however, once i decided to lock up my "dates" prior to my travel, thus got locked in with cupid dot com. my target audience is mostly uneducated women who want money! i just got home now after going to a chamber music recital tonight. do you think any cupid chicas want me to explain my preference for period instruments? not likely! for my next trip, hopefully it will be a longer trip, and my spanish much improved, so i can confidently take a chance on making impromptu conquests, and pick targets that are not only limited to uneducated women. (but only for the purpose of avoiding the continued harassment of rfm. if a woman is hot and good in bed, i don't really care if she has a ged or a master's degree.)

5. speaking of target audience - some dude who posted a month ago boasted about his good looks and ability to pick up free pussies and proclaimed p4p is for losers. i found it incredulous at the time more so because of his odious put-down of fellow mongers who participate in p4p. now that i've given it some more thoughts, i think his experience was entirely possible, although not necessarily because of his own talent. he spoke of picking up chicks at the discos/clubs in the tourist area - is it possible that the women who hang out there do so specifically for the purpose of romancing foreign men? for example, i have heard that japanese women who have fetish for american men (particularly black men) will hang out at the clubs near american bases. it was then, easy pickings for american servicemen. in other words, that dude found the right place where his target audience is actually clamoring for guys like him. or conversely, he is their target. for my next trip, i want to try out my ability in settings where i am completely disadvantaged, just to test my game - for example, those street parties on avenida espana where only locals participate and there are equal number of young dominican men and young dominican women. if i could walk away with a hot young dominican women then i think my game is complete.
