Last month I had success with most although some ATMs didn't work. Even at Bradesco I once had to try a couple of machines to get one that worked. Last time I tried to exchange USD it took 10 minutes at Shopping Morumbi and required forms being filled etc and the rate sucked.

Arkayel.[/QUOTE]There is a Disk Dolar cambio near Shopping Ibirapuera that some regulars use when they visit Moema. They give the current market exchange rate that you see when you google USDBRL. That is the best bet if you have cash, and don't have a fee free ATM card.

You'the never know this on the web where outdated articles have been given new dates and it looks like an ongoing concern. Bamboa seems a reasonable choice. I didn't have time to try it. Cafe Photo I understand is a bit of a different vibe. Someone else may comment. I gather the girls are pretty high end as My Casarao girl Carolina said she used to ask 1000 R there and get it (yikes!
I liked Bomboa a lot. I thought it a slightly down market version of Scandallos. The girls asked 600 not 800. I think the rooms 120 instead of 200 at scandallos. Food and drinks were also cheaper but just as good. I had a nice steak dinner and a lovely mulata for desert. She even let me finger her while I was drinking my coffee. I also liked the live band and the overall vibe was more relaxed. I'the definitely return on my next trip.
For what I hear Cafe Photo's time may be passed. Mostly older garotas and you have to negotiate a venue since there are none on site.

Came back the next week used my driver's license for my documento instead of my passport which the ban was registered under. Fucking idiots!

There was a house car that took me and the girl to a nearby place called "The Kinky Hotel". I remember laughing as I saw the name of the place. The guy working the desk spoke great English (think he lived for a time in the States but don't recall exactly), and he was a bit of a hoot! Tried to charge me for condoms in the room, but I told him I had my own, so no charge. The room was nice, and the only problem I remember was that it took the shower way to long to produce any hot water. But once it got going, it was fine. When we were done, the driver took us back to the club. His services were gratis. Maybe Cafe Photo and The Kinky Hotel are no longer affiliated? Or, is the hotel still in business? I don't know. But, that's how it worked when I patronized Cafe Photo. There was no need to worry about where to go to have sex with an attractive, Brazilian girl found at Cafe Photo!

Do you guys think I should get a Airbnb or a Hotel? Are all Hotels Guest Friendly. I'm think about staying in the Grand Hyatt to do my mongering.

Plus factor in you're bringing a stranger into someone else's home and you'll be responsible for anything damaged or missing. Rented an Airbnb in Rio, took a garoto de programma there, she got drunk, tore the intercom phone to the doorman off the wall, clogged the toilet, puked in a walk in closet, and stole a ceramic bird decoration from a China cabinet. Cost me almost an extra US $ 1,150! The flat was only US $ 65 per night. I could of stayed in a fucking Hilton for that! Beware!

If you choose the Hyatt because your office is near, OK.
But if you are here to play I would stay in MOEMA, were the majorities of the Clínicas are located.

Many GPS will not attend in private residences or Air BnBs. As for girl friendly, never met a hotel in SP that wasn't. From the Fasano on down.

I tried just confidently striding for the elevators but no dice.
It's not a big deal, but if trying to avoid colleagues a love motel may be better. Or just go onsite at a Clinica or Boate.
