I do trt. It is a great thing. I am having a bit of a time getting in all dialed in right. Testosterone injections can cause estrogen to rise. Then you have to take pills to lower that, but not too low. It is around 1500 thb to get it checked, more if you get more stuff checked. Testosterone cypionate is cheap enough.
If you are american it can be hard to find a dr that will prescribe trt.
All of us 50 plus need to get those testosterone levels tested and if they are low, go on TRT.
I asked about hair loss with doc and she suggest Propecia. Having read about it being like a female hormone, and messing with libido, I though fuck that, too dangerous. Put up with the thinning patch.

Testosterone replacement therapy. If you have low testosterone count, you inject yourself with testosterone twice a week. Or you can get a slow release thing injected in your body that releases testoterone into you for 6 months. The okay scale is between 280 and ?1100? Many men have lower amt as they age.

Tried topical minoxidil but had sides from that as well. So will just put up with thinning hair. Getting older sucks no matter how you slice it.

I lament the wasted years with ex Farang wife. There are worse things than losing hair, for sure. Better to have good health at least.
Imagine if had the chance to come here 40 years ago for long periods. How good would that have been? I did arrive here 35 years ago but with wife so was very limiting indeed. However I already knew this was a fun place. Little did I know that I would start to learn Thai before the next visit though. That was with no wife and maybe 8 years later.
So next assignment is some countries, less advanced than Thailand for a nice visit. Hopefully like getting into a time machine and going backwards.
Maybe its bad to be stuck in the modern world.

Syzygium Species
A piece of trivia about Thai herbs.
Syzygium Gratum: The leaf extract of this plant found in Thailand and SE Asia has extreme antioxidant properties shown by studies.
The shoots and young leaves are eaten raw with nam phrik, with vermicelli or with southern food. They are also served blanched with nam phrik. The tannic taste is helpful for stomach disorder.
Also called: phak mek, samet chun.

Testoterone
Testoterone is also available in a gel form that you rub on your shoulders every day. Very easy. Painfully expensive in USA.
I've been on the regiment for 4 years. Very happy with the results. They test every 6 months for blood count, T levels and prostrate condition. Yes it's expensive and so what? At 72 I feel great and can walk, run, play golf and fu_k. Even Jet lag is reduced when I return to Hawaii after 3 weeks in Bkk.
And for all of you doubting Thomas types, you don't live forever anyway, so make the most of it now. My T level is around 1000, where it was when I was 21. Without the T shot I would be at 189. It's natures way of telling men that you have no desire for sex. Just like looking at an older woman, ugg. So why not do the thing that defeats nature? We already use Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.
Go for it. RL.

Androgel Prices

I use Androgel 1.62% and I'm just finishing the last little bit that was paid by insurance. I need 2 pumps per day of 1.62% Androgel to get to just 350 total testosterone and 4 pumps per day to get to 450 total testosterone. Looking at online Rx price references, I'm expecting 2 pumps per day to cost about $21/day and the 4 pumps per day to cost about $42 per day.
Different people use different amounts of this stuff. I'm impressed with level of 1000 at age 72, I doubt that I could get there.
I've noticed that online prices show there is generic Androgel 1.0% available. This will probably cost about $3 per day or $6 per day for similar amount of testosterone. Still not cheap.
I believe I read that people were getting testosterone injections for much less money.

I am somewhat younger and in reasonable condition, but I do notice I can go for even 3 weeks with no sex when very busy working. Perhaps this is a worry and means I need testing badly. But very hard to go that long without even a wank. I do find I can cancel girl sessions if goes south like she wants me to wear her thick condoms.
Is there a recommendation for testing in Thailand. I will ask at the Red cross next visit but I guess it is outside their scope.

My prescription is Testosterone CYP / Anastrozole 200 MG which I draw from a vial and use 185 MG into my leg muscle. Once a week. The Anastrozole is a female hormone that they say is needed. This is premixed. They also say when on this regiment that our body stops making testosterone which is a natural reaction. It's ok because it was so low that the replacement takes over and fulfills the bodies needs.
I was slowing down and never thought of sex before I started on the reg. Now I am horney as hell and have sex 3-4 times a week if I have a willing partner. I have noticed that Thai GF's like sex 1-2 times a week only. BTW, our sport is not cheap. I pulled ladies from Thermae 5 nights in a row and the total was close to $400.00. Still better than wanking.

Wouldn't touch propecia with a barge-pole though.
Have the gentlemen here who use testosterone first given DHEA a try? DHEA is a logical first-ditch step.
I've been using minoxidil for a couple of years and have never seen info on possible low libido side effects. In conjunction with minoxidil I also used Finasteride (Propecia generic) and that absolutely lowers your libido and also robs you of your ejaculate.
As soon as I knew what was going on I stopped the Finasteride and have continued with minoxidil. Another thing, if you exercise regularly that is also a fountain of youth.

Generally Doctors consider Propecia as the most effective one for Hair loss but like you, I would not touch it.
I took some serious medication maybe 25 years ago for acne. Change of diet probably would have been far more effective. I now have to live with skin problems that are most likely side effects (un documented) that came after that. It is better not to take things that are not really necessary.
Too many antibiotics also stuffed my metabolism as well. We often pay the price. Hair loss maybe not such a huge problem. I just wish it would be lost from balls, armpits, and ass. LOL.
If have low testosterone, most beneficial things reported on web were: More sleep, keep weight down, exercise. Suppliments considered to be quite useless by many experts.
DHEA was more useful for other things. E. g. Depression, blood pressure, skin aging, etc. A possible side effect of DHEA was hair loss.
