I've been going to Phils for yonks, and I've never encountered any trouble, but I had a dear friend murdered in Angeles last year. Of course, the official ruling was suicide, the great kano disease that claims many foreigners in Asia.

The pic was posted in a Filipino guy's FB. I found it both shocking and humorous. Years ago one of the old guard here nicknamed Phils, "The Wild West of Sex".

Bitter husband or business partner; unpaid family etc. The list goes on.
It's always better to be more value alive than dead in the Philippines.

I'm also three-quarters packed of my entire household goods in California and have open ticket for when the PH finally does open.
