You can say you don't need to tested as there will be nothing you can do if you do have it, but that is wrong. You can take responsibility and not go bare with others! Even if you don't care about her, the herpes you give her will end up residing in some of us who might stupidly give in to bareback! No, you didn't deserve to get it either, but why deliberately pass it on?
I know, I am the only one here who harps about HSV, but I hear people still say that if they and the woman get tested for the other stuff they are safe for BB, but that is not true! And, I suppose, since I occasionally do BB, I am preaching to myself.[/QUOTE]I tired to do the right thing, to know if I ever had HSV2, but in the end after two long term tests, both times they tested for both HSV1 and 2 together, not what I asked for, and never got a definitive result, and then told these tests are not worth much.
Testing for a current outbreak of HSV is much easier. I have not really done a lot of bare backing in my time. Fairly limited number of girls over many years that were regular partners, however everyone has a condom break incident sometime. I was not too concerned about HSV1 really since well over half the population have had that, but I never had anything that looked like a definite cold sore, nor the so called tingling sensation warning that one is coming.
I don't seem to have given HSV2 to anyone, but would be nice if there was a very definite test that could rule out that I ever had it completely. If I should ever get a visible sore, or a symptom of something amiss, I will use a condom temporarily (with Mrs) until can be tested. So I try to be responsible. Obviously no one wants to give something to the Mrs.
Many years a go I fucked a girl that had a mark on her ass that she claimed was herpes, however I was doubtful. Wasn't very close to her genitals at all. She just stuck a bandaid (sticking bandage) over it. Is bandaid an international word? I am not sure. A brand name I guess. I did not seem to catch anything from her.
So I tried to test for everything known, but turned out wasn't easy to do that. Everything else was negative anyway. I only ever contracted Chlamydia, and easily fixed fortunately (along with very easily acquired).
For guys that take risky activities with unknown girls, as well as HIV test, I would suggest regular Chlamydia and Gonor. tests since those 2 seem to be easiest to catch, and test for everything on occasion.
Taking antibiotics is not a great idea, as stuffs up gut body good bacteria balance. Use when really necessary only. It leads to weight control problems. Years ago they used to suggest Doxycycline as prophylactic against Malaria. Really bad idea is going to kill bacteria that are useful to your gut.
