Actually you may find, I have always been writing like this. Sort of in abbreviated notes form.
Syzy is from oz, no language problem at all. If you really wanted to see someone mash up the English, to talk to a kiwi. Ha ha.

Facebook dating
Facebook dating launched yesterday in Thailand. This will be huge here since we all know that Thai girls practically live on Facebook.
I guess I ate food that was not fresh enough from the Shawerma (Kebab) stand. So the guts had a bad reaction, like due to bad bacteria, the next morning.
Normally eat street food no problem but this was not quite the case in a shop at entrance to Soi 5.
"Thong sia" is the typical Thai phrase (heard a lot), and even Thais seem to get this problem a lot, by eating something no good.
"Thong" is ambiguous as can mean either stomach or abdominal, and "sia" means "fucked up" basically.
So get the "runs" so to speak. The body knows it has to flush all the bad stuff out of the intestine. Not only that we may feel a bit of a slight fever, and have no desire to eat. I was off most food for 2 days. This is body's way to avoid feeding the bad bacteria during the flushing process. Seemed to work very well. On 3rd day all seems to be back to normal. So not the very worse case of Gastro. Did not need any "Imodium" today.
Pharmacy gave me a broad spectrum anti-biotic to take too, but I resisted taking it, waiting to see if would fix itself. The reason is the anti-biotic would kill off good bacteria in the gut as well. This normally leads to rapid weight gain as upsets the metabolism, and I know this from past experience. Instead I lost 2 kilos from low food for 2 days and probable reduced total hydration level. I prefer to keep this weight off if possible.
Now eating is back to normal today although not exceptionally hungry, I am guessing sexual function should be back to normal as well.
Interestingly not many Thais understood "Indigestion" many years ago (maybe not even today) so I had a lot of trouble asking for medicine to fix that, when my Thai was a bit too basic. These days we can find a bottle of the flavored Calcium Hydroxide chalky liquid in a 7 store (Maloxolon or something like that name) or maybe quickeze, but in old days they did not have it.
Thai phrases: "Khleun sai" means nausea (literally an intestinal wave) , and "Grot laai yorn" means acid reflux or "heartburn". I did not learn this last phrase till maybe 2 years ago. So before that had little clue what to say. Maybe Thais just don't say it much. Could be useful to someone who speaks a bit of Thai, since these phrases are not heard much. Looking up Indigestion in a dictionary just yields a sentence saying "food can't be digested". LOL Can get Omeprazole in pharmacy, for those needing regular medication, or Ranitidine for occasional use. Latest advances may not be cheap yet. Staying away from junky food and over eating is a big help, and make sure you don't suffer from Helicobacter Pylori since easily treated and causes bad breath.
"thong mai dee" - stomach no good. Any type of stomach discomfort or could be abdominal (very non specific).
"thong phook" - Constipation.
"thong euut" - flatulence.
"thong ruang" - loose bowels (or leaky LOL).
"bpuat thong" - stomach ache or could mean pain further down, or can be used just to mean needing to go to the toilet.
Finally "thong" is long and high tone. Perhaps "thaung" would be a better spelling with au like in the word taught or thawng with aw as in raw.
Having this isn't funny especially if you aren't in a free area to move around. Today I keep all the medication when I travel just in case.
Like you I eat a lot of street food get my stuff at the local market rarely a problem. Last year I took a trip back home use Evaair regularly a stopover in Taipei, I was hungry so made a stop at a noodle shop located in the waiting terminal see, done this a number of times everything after was going fine. A few hours later on the flight after takeoff I notice my stomach was starting to hurt a feeling one needed to go to the bathroom I was praying it would go away but it didn't I got up went to the back for the restroom lucky no one waiting and hoping no one was going to be lining up. The pain was increasing and I didn't want to say anything to the F / A didn't want the plan to turn back or make an emergency landing but finally, I had to say something. The F / A was understanding and told me to go back in and she would put the bathroom out of order. When I went back to my seat I slept in pain, fever, cold put on my jacket and two blankets mentally long long long flight when I got home next day missed family reunion dinner I was out two days and drained.

There is no need to announce which country someone comes from on the forum, especially for minority groups. Farang is good enough. It can give any female readers extra clues. You can't hear my accent. LOL I could well be a kiwi.
Which accent sounds funniest when speaking Thai language? I think American drawl wins there. LOL Other Asians like Japanese can sound the best sometimes. Yesterday was trying to speak with house room maid about cleaning the room, and noticed her Thai was strange and hard to follow. Turns out staff are Cambodian. Hired extra cheap perhaps.
The forum auto corrector mashes English more than anything else by making unnecessary and wrong changes. Respells words to make completely wrong words.

Banking in Thailand
Any suggestions as to which banks are favorable for farangs. I plan on relocating to Tland early next year. Advise from the seniors will be appreciated.

RL.
Are you coming in on a Tourist Visa? If so, the banks are a pain. Generally you need a lease and if you have one, you can get a Foreigner account at Krungsri, or one at Bangkok Bank if you have the embassy verify your passport.
If you have a long term visa, Bangkok Bank is probably the best for foreigners, however, you get Union Pay Debit instead of Visa. Thats why I use Krungsri.

RL.
Most Banks are currently not allowing you to open an account unless you have a work permit or other business credentials. So the short answer is you might have to take any bank that is willing. Many years ago it was easier. I opened several accounts back then. A few years ago Kasigorn was a possible but rules changed again with latest military government.
You may find that with some banks, there is a special branch where they will take you but most branches will say no. If you have the work permit, is much easier then. It is not easy to find out what is going on sometimes. Hear conflicting stories. I don't know for certain.
I currently only have a Bangkok Bank account. That may be the easiest bank to deal with in a large branch.

I guess it's time to grab the esky or the chillybin and put in some tinnys and to beat a hasty retreat then. Us skippys and kiwis better find some better pickings elsewhere.

Some girls that read the forum have advanced English and some have even travelled to Oz too, with boyfriend most likely.
One of my old favourites s just got back from a trip to several countries in Europe (with a guy naturally). Hopefully she does not read this. The worst thing, is when we write about a specific girl, e. G. I once wrote about Aor at Annies. Then some forum reader shows her my detailed ISG report. She knew exactly who wrote it naturally. Too many specifics were included, fortunately positive about her. I tend to write less detail of exactly what happened on exactly which day and time, these days and try not to mention which country I come from in any reports.
Actually there is one thing worse than showing a girl a forum report, that is telling her what was written about her, usually making the whole thing sound more negative, but certainly misquoting. Guys on the forum cannot all be trusted to keep info to themselves. That is maybe why you see so many senior members that almost never write much of a girl report. They fear information can be misused.
It is better to stay very anonymous. These days plenty of experienced girls can look at ISG on their smartphone. If a girl gives a big tip off piece of info, I can't write it straight away, as would be too obvious where it came from.

In Asia I am occasionally asked where I am from. I just say Canada because I know the city of Vancouver well enough to fake it. Vancouver is a great town BTW. Few people know anything about Canada and that usually ends the conversation. Sometimes people are just too nosy and I don't want strangers on the street knowing my business. Outing a fellow member's private info such as location is a big no no in this forum.

Location
Hi guys.
I am not that concerned about revealing my origins to girls when I'm talking to them or in post here. I don't have my picture here and my user name is pretty generic. A lot of the girls ask about Kangaroos when you say you are from Oz and I have pics on my phone to show them my "pets".
I can understand the concern of residents because of being outed by the missus or work colleagues but I think for most of us sex tourist there is not much to fear.
So I'm throwing on my thongs, filling up the esky with throw downs and going to dish lickers to get on the punt. LOL.
Something for you non Aussies to translate.
Rob.

Very unfortunate that doing younger girls for money, is not seen as socially acceptable behaviour for either the guy or the girl. "Do gooder" religious groups may even come hear and try to distrupt the gogo bar trade. Guys in the USA could easily loose their job if exposed, I assume.
Using a girl for sex, pretending "Love" and possibility of future marriage, and all types of clandestine relationships is much more socially acceptable, right?
The fact is Thai girls here need to be able to make some money to support their child and / or parents etc. , and is quite wrong to prevent them from trying to do so, in my view. There is no victim from a private mutually agreeable sex act. Girls are not captives and work voluntarily, not necessarily the case in some places in the past like Nataree. I have a regular who needs the money badly. She has to earn it somehow.
I digressed. For those that don't realise, stay anonymous, because some idiot forum reader could try to expose you to someone. Also being unknown gives you more freedom in what you write. You don't want to show up at an MP and everyone shuns you, because "they know who you are" which could easily happen.
I am ready for a mongering holiday, actually what I mean is a holiday away from mongering to recharge the optimism levels. See if I can last 3 months without a fuck? LOL At least prove I am not an addict anymore.
If you really want to see someone completely buggerise English. Talk to an American! 555.
The classic example is "My bad". This does have a verb and appears to have an advective and a possessive without a noun, so appears in other countries to be completely meaningless. I thought is was almost a rule you can't have a possessive without a noun. In contrast "It's mine" does have a noun and verb.
Strange pronunciation is actually the hardest thing to follow so you can't beat Glasgow English for being difficult to follow.
I struggle with Thai and Philippino English, especially over the phone and if speaker has a very deep voice. I had to ask the air ticket booking guy to transfer me to a girl, his tone was just too deep for me. How many times when ringing an Oily MP, did I have to tell them: "Please speak Thai, because I really can't understand English", meaning no English is better than very bad English pronounced strangely. English causes mixups, because Thais get their verb tenses wrong. They say something different to what they wish to mean. So I understand why some guys tried to book using emails. LOL.
