Please offer advice: SDO? San Salvador? Or Guatemala City?
Have a last minute opportunity to some travelling on the company's dime. I have to choose between going to Santo Domingo, San Salvador, or Guatemala City. I have been to all three, but I haven't been to SDO since 2000! I have to make a decision real soon (today or Monday) , so I want some input from people with current SDO experience. Thank you in advance.
Here's what I remember from the summer of 2000.
I got some info ahead of time from some websites. Granted it was 2000 and many of these sites were in their infancy, and many others did not even exist. However, I got the names and general locations of a couple of bars and a couple of "esteticas" that were masquerading as beauty salons in residential neighborhoods. Went to a bar one night (maybe it was the Piano Bar?) , made my selection, and took her to a 'cabanas' push-button motel. Went to the same estetica two nights in a row. The first time, the cabbie had no problem finding the place, and I had a great time. The second night, the cabbie was bewildered and told me that there were much closer places I could have chosen, and when I did get there, the selection was poor and the provider I selected was on the rag (she didn't tell me beforehand) and her oral technique was weak.
For the first timer in SD
I'm planning a trip to SDQ in the next couple weeks and have been searching around for info so I can plan.
1. I've been to other parts of the globe for mongering, all over Europe, Thailand, Macau, HK, Canada etc. But this would be my first time in the Caribbean. How is the quality of chicas in SDQ? Are other parts better? I've read about Sosua, Boca Chica etc. And those are options but the reason why I was thinking SDQ was more because it's a big city and I figure one can do quite a lot during the day in the capital city. Would that be true?
2. I'm not fluent in Spanish. I can understand a little bit and speak a little bit as well, but just the basics such as asking for directions, where to go, maybe a few basic questions about another individual. Will this be a major issue? How about with the chicas? I've read that speaking Spanish is an advantage, but would someone who knows just basic stuff be able to have some success?
3. I know overall the DR is fairly inexpensive for hobbyists like myself but what are chica prices? I've read anywhere from 500 pesos all the way up to 6,000 pesos and what not. I'm guessing the lower end could be for SWs and the higher end for Escorts? How about in the casas? What would the average cost be for let's say a good looking chica for the night?
4. I've seen the maps and read about the different locations in SDQ, when it comes to selecting a hotel for a weekend or few days I'm looking at something like the Holiday Inn, Renaissance, Hilton, or the Hotel Magna 365? What is the guest policy at these places? I know smaller places are more guest friendly, and am very open to staying at anything else that is highly recommended. I just look for a nice bed, a safe, and a clean place. And maybe wifi.
Thanks for the help and apologize for my newbie-ness. First time trips are always exciting and challenging at the same time!
I'll try to answer your questions

Forget Santo Domingo and go directly to Sosua. Santo Domingo is a regular city that has a few casas and a few street walkers, it pails in comparison to Sosua. Right now there is supposed to be somewhat of a government crack down on Prostitution (even though its legal in the DR) and most of that crackdown seems to be centered in Santo Domingo.
2. You could speak Martian and it wouldn't matter the girls in Sosua all know what you are there for. My Spanish isn't much better than yours and I get by just fine. Spanish is not necissary for just mongering as the girls all know what you are there for. If however you are looking to get something a little more serious with a non P4P chica then you may need to be conversational in Spanish.
3. In Sosua the price is 1500 for short time, one to two hours and 3000 for long time, all night. Don't pay more than this, they will ask for more if they think you are new and don't know anything. Many get the chicas for even less than the above price.
4. Forget Santo Domingo go to Sosua. There is a whole slew of monger frendly hotels in Sosua, personally I always stay at one of Ricks places, just google Rockys in Sosua and you will find the different establishment he has available.
