US minimum wage is worth less today that what it was 60 years ago. There has been no increase in 13 years:

Of course this is all the Reps fault. The Dem Party could do nothing in all those 60 years to reverse out the negative actions of the Reps. Its a disgrace, and its a disgrace that some people think that either party cares about the people.

It takes someone with absolutely no knowledge of US tax policy to make such an uninformed statement about someone paying no taxes because they don't live in the US.
But, for someone who believed that shoving a lightbulb up his ass would cure COVID or that the 2020 election was stolen or any of the other RethugliKKKan-QAnon-FUXSnooze talking points, such a statement is, well, normal.
But, yes, by some measures Donnie the Dumbass is more successful. Donnie the Dumbass is much more successful at grifting, that's true. Donnie the Dumbass is much more successful at lying. Donnie the Dumbass is much more successful in stealing classified documents. Donnie the Dumbass is much more successful at sucking off every tin-pot didctator in the world. Of course, only the Moron Brigade would call those things "successful".
If Trump is really a failure what does it make you? Note that the typically pro Repub Mainstream Media headline cited a "group of Dems and Repubs" as though it was probably an equal number on both sides?
You see, MSM is a notorious "Bothsider", whose primary goal is to help Repubs get elected so they can continue to crash the USA economy and wipe out millions of jobs. The same as you.
Uh. That "group" of Dems would be 8. That "group" of Repubs would be 50. Actually, the latter is not exactly a "group" of Repubs at all. Nope. That would be ALL of them.
Maybe that MSM source ran out of cyberspace and there was just no room for them to include the word "ALL" for the Repub side of it in that headline, huh?
Or, put another way, 100% of the Republicans in the Senate does not want to raise the minimum wage, a proposal presented, planned, fought for, negotiated and largely voted for by Dems, not Repubs, never Repubs. Yep, not even 8 Repubs could be found from any state in America to replace the 8 Dems who declined.
Meanwhile, oh look!

Gee, I guess Dems are so determined to get this done for the American worker they will and have been doing at the state and local level all along what not even 1 Repub Senator wants to do for the country.
Thanks for bringing that up. It is always a winning topic for Dems and reveals the contempt Repubs have for fair wages for American workers.
Bet ya' didn't think that's how your little pro Repub "Bothsider" pitch was going to turn out, right?

Remember when Trump was crowing about how "his economy" produced higher wages for women, blacks, hispanics, etc, demographics that typically work minimum wage jobs?
Yeah, that was because the state and local governments in primarily Dem states and cities were busy raising the minimum wage (see link in my previous reply to your inaccurate "Bothsider" pitch) DESPITE the usual passionate Repub objection to it by Trump, Moscow Mitch and the rest of them.

Since then, Congress has been controlled (at least in part) by the RethugliKKKan party. https://history.house.gov/Institution/Presidents-Coinciding/Party-Government/.
In addition, let us not forget that when Obama was President, RethugliKKKans even said the "quiet part out loud", that they were going to do everything humanly possible to make him a one-term president.
Since 2009, the Democrats have had control of both houses of Congress exactly once.
The USA is one of only a few countries where there is no periodic review of the minimum wage.
Yes, the minimum wage in the US is far too low. Part of the problem is, however, that the citizenry of the US is uneducated and they believe stuff that just isn't true. And most of the "untrue stuff" is fed to them by, you guessed it, the RethugliKKKan party.
The RethugliKKKans say all the time that minimum wages were not intended to be living wages. FDR, the President who enacted the first US minimum wage, would beg to differ.
The RethugliKKKans say all the time that most minimum wage earners are kids living with their parents. Not true, but even if it was true, that is no excuse for paying inadequate wages.
The RethugliKKKans say all the time that minimum wage jobs give the worker experience which propels him to better jobs later on in his career. Wrong again. Most minimum wage jobs are literally dead end employment that neither teaches the worker any useful valuable skills to transfer to better employment options. Most minimum wage jobs offer absolutely no avenue for advancement with the employer.
We used to allow women to work for less than men based on the misogynistic notion that women were worth less because the men were the "bread winners". Try floating that idea in the present day and see what happens. It should be no different on the basis of age, or living arrangements.
As any RethugliKKKan on this board if they agree with most of the 4 issues above. I guarantee that virtually all of them will say yes. Then ask any Democrat if they agree with the 4 issues above and I guarantee that none of them will say yes.
Now, it is fair to say that the Democratic Party could have done more? Sure. But when you have a bunch of obstructionist morons telling their dumber-than-dogshit base that if we raise the minimum wage for everybody then the price of everything will go up so it is better if we force people to have 6 jobs and to work 35 hours per day just to make ends meet. And if they can't, well, that's their problem.
It reminds me of a racist quotation said by a famous racist "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you. " Yes, Moron Brigade, that quote was from Lyndon Johnson. Yes, Johnson was a Democrat. Yes, he was a racist. But he thought just like the Donnie "there were good people on both sides" the Dumbass.

Do you seriously dispute the stat on this bcos its CNBC? That would be ridiculous; I found the same info on many sites.
The real issue here, seems you deliberately ignored it again, is that REAL minimum wages have not gone up in 60 years!! That is a disgrace to both the Rep Party and the Dem Party! You trying to say that the Dem Parry never had the chance to raise it in SIXTY YEARS?? Well then, tell me how come the Reps manage to get things done when their in power, but the Dems don't? I will tell you the answer. Bcos the Reps are determind to get their promises pushed thru, jsually with help from neo-cons in the Dem party. Whereas the Dem Party only pay lip servce to their manifesto, and they are made up of neo-libs and neo-cons that cannot get stuff done.
Bet ya' didn't think that's how your little pro neo-con pitch was going to turn out, right?
