Was unable to continue my ventures for three days due to illness but decided I needed a break from staying in hotel.

Work keeps me busy most of the day and it is just past midnight when I can venture out on my own.

No long after arriving I took flue like symptoms that I thought would pass over. The next day I was in agony from a URI. Really painful. I attended a doctor and he prescribed antibiotics. No STD or any problems in that area. A relief, but I will be a bit more careful in the future. A change of antibiotic to 28 days of Ofloxacin will cure all. Even after 12 hours I felt better. I have lost 14 lbs in the week but that was down to eating nothing. A silver lining.

1. They can speak more English.

2. Cantonese is their primary language, they will know a decent amount of Mandarin. Southern Mainlanders will know Cantonese and Mandarin almost on equal levels. There's also differences in slang.

3. HK girls are more westernized than southern mainlanders.

4. It's an international city, they have more of an open mind.

5. They enjoy more civil and political rights than their mainland counterparts.

Chantik is right that there are girls on CL who claim to be local. Also set up some "dates" ahead of time on sites like Date in Asia and HK Cupid. But most mainlanders allow some sounds from Mandarin to bleed into their English and are more likely not to be able to pronounce certain letters like mixing up L / are. They have a distinct way of speaking English. Not true 100% of the time because some of them have dated westerners or were educated overseas, but WGs aren't likely to have done either. After hearing a Chinese girl talk for a couple minutes I can nearly always tell if she's local or mainland. There are subtle differences between a girl from Hk and a girl from Shenzhen, but a bigger difference between an HK girl and a girl from Guang Dong. HK girls seem to be more confident and independent. They can understand a lot of English. They grew up on different types of foods as well. HK food tends to be more oily and have lots of western influences, which leads to them having less attractive bodies. In my hunt to find a great full service spa in Hong Kong, visited VIP Spa, 65 Mody Road, Kowloon (in the Auto plaza Building).

It is on the top floor (13th I think). Spa is very nice inside, sauna, hot tubs etc.

I took advantage of the spa for 30 min and then headed to the rest area for some tea. After about 15 min they tell me my massage is ready.
