Hotel: Stayed at Hotel La Casona Dorada & Restaurant (about three blocks from the Crown Plaza Hotel). Initially they asked for $50 a night, but when I asked for a discount they agreed to $40 a night. The hotel has a pool and a gym and its girl friendly. The place is comfortable. They also will pay the taxi driver who brings you $5 FYI. I don't think its to pay for you taxi, its just part of the hustle. My taxi driver suggested the hotel and he told me this is way he suggested it. He also had other hotels if I did not like that one. In Santo Domingo you can find really nice hotels for like $80 a night so finding a hotel is easy.

Girls: On the side of the Crown Plaza hotel is a couple of places, but then when I entered they asked for $100 US. I told them it $100 USD was outrageous and I left. I do not know if they would have reduced the prices after negotiations. After hearing that price, I walked out. There is also a club on the main avenue behind the Crown Plaza Hotel, I did not go in so I don't know the price. On that same street are some kids. They walked me over to some places that I would not have found without them. Two of the places did not have sign. Sorry I did not write the info down. I think I gave the kids $2 USD. The kids were helpful. Not sure if walking with the is safe for everybody. I felt uncomfortable initially walking with the teenagers, but after a while it was all good.

At night there are some street girls walking around. They will approached you. I told them that I was interested and they offered a short time for 800 Dominican Peso.

While walking around the area behind the Crowne Plaza, I meet a cab driver. His name is William and he speaks English fluently. He drove me around for 8 hours for $80. I thought it was a good rate. He will help you get anything you want so don't hesitate asking him for anything you want. One downside of rolling with Williams is that his car is ragged and old, but who really cares. I believe his car is usually used as a shared taxi for locals. The biggest problem with William is that although he is a really fun and down to earth guy in his 60's, he can't help you with higher end desires. The guys is great but he doesn't have experience finding better quality things. He will drive you through poor neighborhoods introduce you to all his friends and take you to get good cheap food and to meet his family. Its like he is the mayor. However if you ask for him where do we find higher end things he is really of no use. He just doesn't know where to find higher end girls. With that being said I would call him again if I were back in the DR, because his English is good and he is really cool.

Santo Domingo is better for meeting regular people and truly experience Dominican culture. The food is amazing in Santo Domingo.

The last guy that show my friend and I around SD in his cab charged us about 900 pesos and a 500 tip if we liked it. We went about 5 different areas and he made sure we were set up for the night. I paid $640 dollars for my round trip plane ticket via Jetblue and then the price went down $125 dollar and got a credit for it. I rented a Honda Civic 2010 for $45 dollars a day. I stayed in Santo Domingo but visited San Cristobal, Santana, Bani, Paya, Bani, Nizao and Barahona. I was in Barahona for 3 days and stayed at a cheap hotel for 450 pesos a day for a small room near El Malecon. I didn't go to any casas but my Facebook contacts really paid off! I had sex with 8 different women ranging from 18 to 29 years old and only one of them was pro that I picked up on Avenida San Vicente de Paul, her price was 800 pesos. I saw more Streetwalkers now than when I was there in early December last year. Something that caught my attention was the presence of police and military everywhere at any given time of the day. I saw that you were using the map on your smart phone below another GPS device. Did the top one come with the Honda Civic? What was the difference between the two maps on your smart phone and GPS device?

This is my 6th trip to DR in 3 years. That's my own GPS on the top. Google Navigation works better than the GPS but with the GPS you don't need an active internet connection.

Most casas are very expensive in SD. They want a 100 dollars short time. They are much more attractive and have bars. The girls are hot in most cases but you pay 3 times what the street girls are asking and no GFE. If you have any game or can hook with internet girls you will not want to pay that cash.

People have mentioned a few other things that they like from GBP compared to other places. One I have read is that BBBJ is standard in GBP and harder to find in other casas. There are no touts in front and the atmosphere is more relaxed. The price in other casas range from 2500 to 3500. Casa Teresa is 3500 as one girl from the place told me on June. I have not been in Gazcue casas or Teresa, Casa Azul, Modelos etc. In a couple of years. Last time that I visited other place besides GBP was Australia which is 1500 to the girl and 500 for Australia.

my problem with the casas de cita in santo domingo (gazcue) is not some much price of a short time salir, to me is the overall price and environment. the music is too loud, more times than not it's not comfortable, the price of drinks are too high, and taxi's are too high most times.

- in the light was she older then expected, wrinkles, bruises, unshaven legs, etc.

what is you pay 3500pesos, and spent another $100 taxi, and booze then you nut in 3 nuts?

it is hard to build chemistry in that environment.

my ideal situation is a better party spot, paying 2500st, buying 150pesos basic well drinks (most expensive for top shelf). the mark up of booze in all the casa de citas is at least 25-50% more expensive than even the tourist restaurants.
