Yes they are different, but in one aspect they are the same, and that's women. If your women skills are weak then go to Rio, but if your women skills are strong then you can enjoy both Rio and Sosua. I have been to Sosua more this year than Rio, and I use Rio for only a 2 day stop over to other cities mainly because DR is cheaper at 40 to 1 in currency, pussy and accommodations. Rio is now just good for 4 days at max for me. One main reason is that Rio's night life is boring. After fuck there's no night life. In Sosua there's a night life like the restaurant in front of Help. In Rio I don't want to spent money on nonputas who want romance. That's what you have to do in order to enjoy Rio's night life. I have more fun in Salvador with samba, reggae and jazz. Plus the women in Salvador bars are more friendlier. Rio women travel in pack or groups if they are not with men. Now you're comparing the Heat to the Cavs, there might be another board to compare men to men, but not this one! LOL!

But I have family there so I don't have to worry about renting a place. It all depends how much you want to spend my friend. Copa and inpanema is probably going to be the most expensive if you planing on renting or staying in a hotel. Good luck! And safe travel!

You can feel the strong pull just by walking into ankle deep water. The problem with Copacabana Beach is that it is not natural, it's man made. The original beach was just a small strip lapping at the edge of Copacabana Hotel. One can see how it original was by looking at the ole street side photos at the Copacabana Palace on Ave N. S. De Copacabana. There are many reports of first time tourists getting into the water after arriving in Copa, only to drown. I witnessed such an event a few years back. Chinese dude had just arrived, checked in at his hotel, and went into the ocean. Only to drown. Rescue copter came out, but was unable to find him. Very sad seeing his friend weeping on the beach. His body was found 5 days later near the Copa Fort.

Sosua is for those guys that would go to Rio and never leave the 3-4 block radius that included their apt, help, the beach, and meia pataca. I just walked to both Monte Carlo and L'uomo. Both were closed. L'uomo was boarded up and looked closed for good. But Monte Carlo was just closed for the day. Does anyone know what the situation is on Sundays? There are no options at all.

That part of Sosua or DR bother most Rio or Brasil mongers, and I had to get use to it. But after my 2nd trip I know how to measure those DR chicas. They are not that smart. Most are starting at DR3, 000 pesos (152 reais) but I get them down to DR 1, 500, sometime 2, 000. My trip in last month I had a 22 year old haitian that stayed over, left to change close and met up with me later after I messed around with other chica, and I gave her DR3500 pesos my last day. The haitian girls in DR have the bodies and stamina similar to Rio. But this is a Rio board so I'll keep it Rio. However, the inflation is hitting the Brasilians hard and the cost is being felt across the board. Then the airfare to Rio is fucking high compared to DR.

That being said about Rio, I'm looking to not stay in Copa or Ipanema anymore. In fact, I've been staying in hotels because the apts have gotten expensive and the services are only good quality if you use a regular service. The independents and apt owners are so unprofessional with service like sheets, towels with plenty roaches. In Sosua I can stay in a all-inclusive resort for $65 US a night.

Just ask them and I guarantee you they will say Rio is better, they just have to save up more and treat it as a gift for themselves. You can't judge a place simply based on the mathematics. By the way, the cost of lodging in Rio is more than the $50 per night you allotted for so the Rio budget can be even higher.

If you are happy with Sosua and the DR why post in the Rio Reports thread, you will find very few people that will agree with you.

Even if 4 trips to DR is equal to 1 trip to Rio, its a no brainer for me. Without a doubt, I would take my trip to Brasil. BTW, I have a home in South Florida, so you would think DR would be the no brainer. However, thats not the case with me. I have been to both, and for me its quality over quantity. Aside from p*ssy, there is just so much more to do as well.
