So let's re-examine the job. With the exception of prostitutes who can perform a skilled service like massage or have mastered some sexual technique, which is subjective because different things work for different men, prostitution is for the most part unskilled labor. Yes you have some women who perform the service of companion, but most are there to suck and fuck (the same thing regular women are doing right now as you read this). That said, unskilled laborers are generally the lowest paid workers in a society. I think that a risk premium has to be added, considering the potential for disease or the day that comes for many sex workers when they are just no longer able to perform. However, even with the risk premium their salaries should put them slightly above the average for the area that they live in.

There is also an oversupply of women / options in many areas. That fact alone should give customers the negotiating power. However, the power of the consumer is diminished by weekend millionaires and men who don't look past the first chick that winks at them.

I know these women work hard, but so does the lady who sells 30 baht rice dishes. The sex worker may give you 3 shots and stay the night, but over a 6 hour period you may spend 90 minutes actually having sex. For the remainder of the time she gets to sleep or hang out in a room that in many cases is nicer than her own. I don't advocate paying slave wages for sex workers, but I do wish that their pay would regress towards the average salary in the area. I think this would really weed out some of the undesirables. I'm sure we can all agree that there is a definite trend of women going to work in these places hoping to find men to run the long con on. By long con I am talking about things like sponsorship and very few sponsored women I have met were loyal to one guy (read as they had multiple sponsors).

The higher prices seem to do nothing but encourage greed. Over the past several months that I have been in Asia I have talked to many men who have been visiting the region for decades. I constantly hear complaints about the attitude of the women. I've also noticed that the tourist places are really only up-market if you compare them to factory brothels. In BKK, there is little difference between the go-go girl who will charge you 2500 ST and the girl at the massage place who will charge 300-550 ST. The only real difference is the go-go girl's clientèle has constantly allowed her to get away with charging more.

Again, this is just my opinion and I will probably continue to use sex workers until I get married. I will also continue to keep trying to get a good price or at least a fair deal out of the women I do business with, because for me I consider it a business transaction in most cases.

I have more problems with the manager of my bank getting a bonus of many millions of EUROs and that same bank paying next to no interest on my savings.

It's first time I'm in Pattaya since 2006. I kept coming to BKK pretty much every year ever since and I absolutely admire and love that city (not just for the women but variety of other things too) , however not to Pattaya. This time I decided to finally make it once again. It feels good to be back after such a long time. Especially since it was the first time I had a Thai lady. It was 6 years ago. Time flies fast. I myself was a 'kid' back then looking from my today's perspective. I have a little bit more experience and understanding now.

But ok, let's get to the matter. I did not go hunting yesterday because I arrived to Pattaya a bit late (after midnight) and felt like just going to bed. Today was the day. So off I go just about 20. 30 hours. It's a Sunday night so according to one girl in a bar, some ladies are off. Don't know if that's true or not but at least some bars (Alcatraz, Angelwitch, Peppermint) seemed kinda empty with very few customers and not that many girls at around 21. 00 (as I later found out, there was much more action towards midnight and even 2a. M.). Ones that were there were completely not for my taste (I like SLIM girls with a pretty face. Tall or short doesn't matter that much. I guess I'm competing with the Japanese here, unfortunately). Anyway, I was a little disappointed and starting to accept the idea that I may end up going back to my hotel without anyone as happened a few times in BKK in the past. I later got to find out that it was very unlikely as more action was building up in the bars and on the street. I guess I just have to go out bit later.

I decided to check out Baccara which has almost never disappointed me in Bangkok. It's a nice bar and staff is very professional and nice while girls don't act annoying and intimidating as in some places. They do have some understanding of good service. There was absolutely nothing to even remotely match my preference on the ground floor though. I checked out the second floor and I noticed a few slim small girls. Memorized their numbers but somehow I didn't get to see them anymore. Maybe they got barfined by the Japanese. Seemingly by 22. 00 Japanese (or were they Koreans? Couldn't hear them talking and could not distinguish just visually) started barfining girls like mad.

Then I spotted that small and very slim and well-shaped girl. Can't remember her number (I didn't even see it, in fact) but she looked really to my liking (proper Asian slim, short but very well proportioned). She was 26yo named Cat (she actually spelled it to me) .155cm tall (according to her) and, by my judgement, about 35kg in weight. So by any means a small girl. Being 190cm in height I felt a bit of a giant next to her. 26 yo is a bit on the old side for me but she seemed good enough and after some chatting I decided to take her. She spoke rather good English too which made communication easy. She asked if I wanted ST or LT and I told her I wasn't sure and it's up to her. I actually wasn't sure. And I may even change my mind later anyway, so I left the matter open for a later time.

Back in the hotel all went as it should: some very good DFK, touching, cuddling, followed by a decent BBBJ. Then three positions: missionary / shoulder holder, cowgirl which she was really good at and doggie which she was rather good at too. After the doggie it's a show time which ended on her entire front side below the face. Really good finish with alot of good stuff covering her front side. Great feeling.

It was a ST at the end although a rather prolonged one. She left before 1a. M. I went back to the Walking Street to have a look at the action and buy something to eat. I was rather hesitant whether I should take her LT or not. I guess the best compromise is a prolonged ST which allows to enjoy the girl and also allows to have a good night sleep and sort out other business including writing this report.

This was my first night out in Pattaya. I will have another night out after which I'll be off to the unknown (to me) land of Vietnam where I will hopefully be able to generate some decent reports too.

Being somewhat new to Pattaya scene (I am much more familiar with Bangkok) I would like to ask a few questions.

- I have noticed there is a very heavy presence of Russian tourists in Pattaya. It's amazing that almost every second billboard or sign has Russian writing on it. I was wondering if there are any Russians on this board participating in Thailand section? If so, privet. .

- What is the best time to hit the action in and around Walking Street? For instance, Bangkok starts 20. 00 and by 21. 00 it gets kinda busy while 22. 00 is probably the peak after which the best ladies are often taken. I've got an impression that Pattaya is a different story and things are happening later. What is the best time to go out to witness the action and see all the best girls coming up on the stage but not look like a fool sitting in the bar alone and being at the center of attention of all those who work there?

- There usually are some girls at the entrance of the bars saying "Weeeecoooooome!" and wawing all kinds of promo signs asking to come in. I have seen a few extremely pretty ones for my taste and was wondering if it is possible to barfine them or take them out after work? Do they go with customers at all or they have nothing to do with the dancing go-go girls and only work as welcoming hostesses? I actually asked one staff in Peppermint (they have that super slim and unbelievably hot young girlie at the front) and was told that cannot barfine her. Although she could have a drink with me (why?).

- What are good places to find SLIM girls? I.e. not ones who are 'normal' or 'not anorexic' but ones who are actually slim and have no fat on the belly or anywhere else? I realised Baccara is certainly one such place but are there any other bars with a good selection of slim ladies? I probably wouldn't even bother going elsewhere.

It is hit and miss the girl your looking for might be bar fined for several days, just keep shopping around you can walk out without buying a drink.

As a general rule, these girls are easier to find in the go-gos than in the beer bars or on Beach Road. Recommending a specific go-go club is always risky because the lineup at this or that place is constantly changing. But when I was last in town I was impressed with the lineup at Super Baby and Super Girls in the Walking Street area. In Central Pattaya there were some hot spinners in the go-gos on Soi LK Metro. Those clubs are so close together it's silly simple to stop by all of them to check out the talent. On Soi 6 I had to look harder for the slimmer ones. But I found the selection to be the best about dusk.

There is really no substitute for taking the time to make the rounds. Yes, it can be a hassle. But I rather enjoy the thrill of the hunt.

There were a few reports about a crackdown in May. How much has Beach Road and Pattaya in general been affected? And have things been better this month or worse? Hopefully someone has an update.

Nothing has really changed on BR although low season may have affected the quality somewhat.

I see that Secrets was raided and the manager Larry arrested which is a shame.

Anyone know the inside story on this?
