X-Man,
It is just next to Ahfat on the back (north-east) of Victora. I.e. the parking lot.
And on the topic of Ahfat; as I wrote before this is in my opinion the place to visit for Chinese cooked sea food in Davao.

Guys,
I have not yet made it to Davao City. Got side tracked. Still need a new Hotel as I was "informed" the morning I was due to depart for Davao last week that the Marco Polo was unavailable. Always "nioce" to get this news on a timely basis.
I switched my travel plans and this ended up working out fabulously. I will post in other section in detail. The Kid, my nephew, is due to arrive shortly. I will extend my Trip to meet him. We resolved our differences in Irish Family way. No need to elaborate.
Kid was planning to stay at Marco Polo in Davao and I let him know not to expect this. He will most likely be at his usual place. He had a few choice words on the MP no longer available at our prior rate. Changing of the guard at the top post in the Hotel may be responsible. Not important at this time as we both will adjust as usual.
I will post again when I get here. No fucking idea when this will be. I should have some news on new places to stay.

Fighting or drinking?
Heard about you Irish guys.
Glad to hear you worked it out.

Nvslim,
I could never come close to out drinking the Kid. As to the other, it would be easy if I had to do it. The Kid is still immediate family which creates some area for resolution.
Guys,
I am anxios to get to Davao. Getting texted by Marjorie and trixie (see photos here) regularly asking when. I want to see my infant Son. His mother decided she was a "bad ass" and made some rediculous demands on me. Must be getting very bad advice from the other lowlife filipinas where she works. Forgets she earns P 4,000 per MONTH. Her new apartment is large and clean and safe; costs P 5,500. I furnished it with all new appliances. Somehow she feels she is entitled to "rights" to whatever wealth she believes I possess in the USA. I told her very "timidly" to "FUCK OFF *ITCH!
No doubt when a filipina tastes the Good Life, they want it ALL. Girl cannot even make the effort to get our Son's birth certificate from the Hospital Administation Office. I signed all papers yet she thinks this is some sort of Major Legal Matter. And who was it that suggested that I get a vasectomy? Sounding better all the time.
I am really anxious to dine at Claude's Cafe de Ville and his daughter's new Restaurant. I still have not confirmed a Hotel. Thinking about this.

Slayer, as for hotel Davao does not leave you much options as you are well aware of. I am also considering going over and want to stay at another place than my usual sleaze-dungeon. Tehy started to talk to much to the girls I brought in and that created me problems.
Have several options in mind but they all are tried and dismissed during earlier trips. I am curious to how your thoughts goes here?
Grand Meng Seng was not comfi in any way, but at least they left me alone. Actually they did not pay much attention to anything.
Royal Mandaya was just about the same.
I did not personally try the somewhat off beat Grand Regal or Waterfront Insular. Neither did I try Crown Regency (not to be confused with simpler but quite useful Regency Inn). Anyone care to comment on those?
Not on price but on quality and privacy.
Did anyone try www.linmarrdavao.com or Sychar Garden Hotel?

I just returned from a 3 week trip to the Philippines, with all but one day spent in Davao. I always change hotels when I am seeing a different girl.
The Orange Group Hotel, Casa Leticia and Ponce Suites where the hotels that I rotated on this trip. All three hotels let girls go to my room with out warning, even if it was not one they had seen me before.
Last year I spent a month in Davao. I spent much of the time with a crazy but fun girl. She is very emotional, up and down like a roller coaster. Since my last trip she had become engaged to to another foreigner and became very involved with a small church. So it was frustrating when she would not put out for me like she had last year. (FYI the guy she is engaged to returned to the US after his Philippines vacation and has not called her once or written her. It took me a couple of weeks to convince her that she had been conned by the other guy and that she could now have guilt free sex with me)
Well from the first day I met this girl last year I could see this crazy chick may start stalking my via google, yahoo etc if the relationship went sour, so I never gave her my real name.
On my last day in Davao, she stopped by the Ponce Suites while I was out on an afternoon date with another girl.(she had promised we would finally have sex that eve, after she was done with her church responsibilities). As normal the Ponce Suites just let her walk by and knock on my door. Well she though I was in my room, because she could here the TV playing. (I always leave the TV on when I am out, for security reasons).
When I did not answer the door, she went back to the desk to inquire if I was out. To prove I was not in the room, they showed her that I had left the room key at the desk when I left. To further comfort her for some reason the lobby receptionist showed her my check in information, which had a different name (my real name) then the one that she had for me. They then offered to let her into my room so she could retrieve a small bag of clothes that she had left inside the room.
I did not know that that this had happened until we were in bed that night (pre-sex! ) when she asked me " who is Bob Bowie? ". Luckily, I was able to bullshit her why I never told her my real name.
Bottom Line, I invested 2 weeks of my valuable vacation time on this chicks insanity to get laid and the Ponce Suites almost cock blocked me.

Re. The Sychar Garden Hotel. I have stayed there maybe five or six times. Sometimes for a couple of weeks at a time. I have often brought 2 or 3 'friends' back there day and night in the space of three or four days, and have never had a problem with the staff. They are obviously curious. LOL. But no interference.
The Suchar is ok. For a small hotel. Clean. But only wireless in the lobby which is a hastle. If you ever stay there, don't get a room near the main road as it gets pretty noisy. Go for an inner room.
Another option, in a similar price bracket, is We R Inn. Just across from Gmall. Friendly staff who don't interfere with mongering activites. For good or bad.
I guess being a regular at a hotel, the staff cut you a little more slack.
I've mentioned Ponce Suites before because of the ART. The rooms are very sparse and mostly Filipino. Hope you can give us a review, or better yet, pics of the rooms. No offense intended, but I find it weird that you mention this hotel without describing it.
If a girl comes to the hotel and knows your name, why would they turn her away? You seem to expect the unusual. Did you ask the hotel staff to turn away any and all who might inquire about you?

X
I will give a brief review of each hotel soon. I just returned from Davao and wanted to relate the story while it was fresh in my mind. My point was to remind others to be sure not to give the girls to much information and to be as vague as possible so that you can control your location and travel schedule.
I normally only stay at one hotel per each girl, so I don't run into the problem of them dropping in or worse their boyfriend/family. I normally text the girls my room number and I can not remember a time when security ever called my room in advance.Of course it may be different at the large hotels.
It just surprised me that the Ponce Would show my registration information to anyone.
They had seen the girl with me the day before, so that may have been the reason.
DS arrived in Davao today but unfortunately the taxi driver had no idea how to find his new hotel, the Anisabel Suites. So he told the driver to drop him off at Swiss Deli where I was having lunch, and I took him there.
Anisabel is a relatively new hotel, built by a well-known architect in Davao. It's on Diversion Road, slightly out of the center of things, but it's got great rooms with plasma TVs on the wall, free wireless Internet and breakfast is included in the rate. The place does not have a pool, but it does have a nice restaurant and a well appointed outdoor eating area. I got a text from DS a couple of hours ago saying that he likes it, so I guess he's found a new home here.
He also said that he inaugurated his room with some 20 year old who must have been new since I had never heard the name before.
Tomorrow night dinner at Farfallas.

GE
I just checked out the website for this place: along with DS's report, I may have found the place I'm going to stay at when I finally visit Davao. But with just 18 rooms, I suppose I had better make a reservation soon. I'm gonna check out Farfallas too.
I'll be in Manila about 9-16 Nov, kicking off a long trip to SE Asia that I'm thinking to finish off with a couple of weeks in Davao in February. Other destinations in between run the gamut of ISG favorites: Malaysia, SG, HK, Indonesia, Thailand, etc. Send me a PM if you want to meet up somewhere.
Tonight, at the invitation of DS, we went to the outdoor plaza area of his hotel, the Anisabel, and were treated to one of DS' "champagne evenings." We were joined by some other mutual friends, one from Australia and one from Mozambique, who are also residents of Davao.
Unsurprisingly, the Champagne was, as usual, superb; one Premier Cru and one Rose, perfectly chilled, drunk in hand blown crystal glasses and altogether excellent. DS preferred the Rose. I'm torn, but I lean toward to Premier Cru. These were complemented by some excellent spicy sausage, cheese, sliced baguette and lovely cakes.
I have to compliment Anisabel, which did a great job serving. The staff was extremely attentive without being overly intrusive, and the entire atmosphere was enjoyable. I'm impressed with Anisabel. It's great value for money and I highly recommend the hotel, which does very little to advertise itself. DS says that the hotel restaurant, Mamus, is very good and we'll give it a try soon.
Thanks DS. It was a lovely evening; great company, excellent champagne, nice service and a terrific ambiance.

Guys,
I arrived last Friday. Had a young 20 y/o here come by my Hotel in the late afternoon. She got naked in 20 minutes, a bit slow. Gave me a great blowjob and fucked me nicely. Had to leave to get back to her granmother, so she accompanied me in a taxi into town. I gave her money to dine at Jollibee as she requested snad her tavifare.
Rose has been around since, together with my infant Son. They takes up three fourths of the kingsize bed, necessitating me telling them I need to sleep tonight. No sex from Rose. She is a Mommy now and I am not supposed to expect this from her. Woman has got to go!
Anisabel Suites is a "mixed bag" as I need to post At 2,750/Nt for an Executive Room I am paying way too much. Staff does not speak english beyond the 1st grade level. Have to repeat simplest phrases many times.
Rooms are clean and service is good, except for no english comprehension. I am the only guest in the Hotel. The rate to service offered most likely has a lot to do with this. Just way too expensive for what you get. Breakfast is free ONLY if you order from a very limited Filipno Menu. Each morning I have coffee, two eggs, toast and mashed potatoes (no meat). I have to pay for this daily.

Guys,
Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the City (Davao). A new element has appeared in Davao City: Fat Larry. In past years I have related tales of Fat Mike (2004-05), Freddie Kruger (nightmare on Rizal St parts 1,2 & 3, Feb '06) and Brad the "stud" ('07-'08). Then the "well went dry" as even the Little Weasle "R" left (Womderful Move).
Davao City was becoming a place where you could venture out in the evening for dining, drinks, chasing pussy, etc without encountering any weirdos, "whack jobs", perverts/deviants, nutcases, etc. It was great, to say the least. Well it all has changed and NOT for the better.
For six months now GoodEnough has been recounting to me tales of this good "friend" of his newly to Davao (3 years supposedly). The more I heard, the less I liked this guy, Lawrence. Sounded like another fucking weirdo, just what Davao City needed! I kept asking GE, imploring him actually, to keep this guy away from me. Not to pull one of his "stunts" like he did with Freddy Kruger, ruining our Valentine's Day Dinner, or with Brad, having him show up when we met at Henny's.
As it turns out, I ran into Fat Larry by accident last week at Henny's De Bonte Koe Restaurant. I was in a lousy mood, tired, needing a good fuck and just plain irritable. I decide to visit Henny;s, eat and then decide what to do. As I walk into Henny's I notice this odd looking, bald headed guy at the bar. He looks a little strange, so I sit at the far end of the bar from him.
He begins talking and quickly gets on to his topic, Restaurants. He hands me a business card and I realize that this very strange looking guy is GE's pal, Lawrence. In my lousy mood I find Fat larry sort of amusing. He gives a critique of numerous restaurants, claiming he writes a monthly Restaurant Review (did not say what publication if there is one). He procees to trash the recently opened Farfalla's, calling it an ametuerish move.
I happen to like Farfalla's and I have dined there many times. It is very nice. This guy, Fat Larry, looks like a horrow show ghoul. He could be an extra in any one of the zombie or horror flicks. Imagine a fat, bald headed ghoul, but instead of eating someone, he spits out restaurant reviews (all negative).
As Fat Larry slams down the vodka tonics, he is fast becoming less amusing and more offensive. He quickly went from talking with me to advising me and finally, giving me orders. Fortunately, by the giving orders time I had the 20 y/o from my prior post arrive and we departed together. I hope to never see Fat larry again but I am certain he will keep showing up. Still cannot believe GE actually gets together with this ghoul for dinner, drinks, anything.
