I agree 100% that Henry John just will forget about her once in Colombia. I just want to correct a few things about the Colombianas going abroad.

Here is how it goes. The Dutch islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao and Saint Maarten) have legal brothels. Restriction is that chicas can stay only for 90 days a year with working visa issued at Dutch embassy. For this they need to sign a 90 days working contract with one of these brothels. The intermediary between the Caribbean brothels and the chicas is Noralba, a woman in Bogota. Chicas need to send pictures and description which are send to the brothels. Some can't afford to be picky, but the best brothels (Seamen and Carolona in Saint Maarten) select on look. If the chica is selected in one of the brothels, Noralba makes up the contract. However, neither the brothels or Noralba will enslave the chica in debt. The chica has to pay by herself for air-ticket and visa. Chica usually gets money from family as most of the earned money will be to help family too. Pimps are seldom as chicas don't need protection in this legal scene, and what could a pimp do anyway from a distance? Once in the brothel, chica needs to pay daily for her room and food in the brothel, depending the brothel but about 40-50$ a day. All the money she gets from the customer is for her, basically 30-40$ for each session depending which island. She has to respect all kind of regulations like being in the club during opening time, attending weekly medical check and making strip dance, else she needs to pay a multa. Typical earnings after 90 days of hard work and after paying all debts is 5000-10 000$. Most chicas start with the closest island (Aruba, Curaçao), but Saint Maarten is considered the best in earnings. Panama is another story, Noralba can send chicas also there but as there is no visa issue, chicas after a first trip go on their own. They also don't need a contract and can work as freelance in the clubs in Panama. Panama is less a paper hassle for chicas but is considered being less in term of earnings. Chicas who have ended up in Trinidad simply didn't know better. There are new destinations starting too like Hong Kong. Spain is also a major destination, but with a serious visa issue.

As a customer I have an excellent opinion about the Colombianas abroad, except Trinidad (check my report in the Trinidad tread). Best is Saint Maarten as there is a selection on look, but pricing is higher too. I can't say that the pro scene in Colombia is better. I found the Santa Fe scene in Bogota low level and only the better clubs in the Northern areas of Bogota like Zhivago were on the level of Carolina or Seamens from Saint Maarten. Lot's of chicas go abroad to be far from relatives and would not do this job at home. Chicas abroad seem to be new in the business, are alone, home sick and much more open to GFE if you have the right attitude. My opinion was that the chicas working in Colombia looked more hardened pros, working with safety issues, being more easily pimped and so on.

But then again, why going for pros in Colombia as you can get much better for free? Having visited more than 50 countries around the world, I can say that Colombia simply has the best amateur scene and the best looking women in the world.

You can even print out an itinerary from that airline or cheap tickes or whatever and pretend that was your electronic ticket for additional back-up, thats what I do. he he

Just to clarify the status of Colombianas in Panama. The girls entering with no visa now only have 30 days. These girls almost all work as independents. The girls working in the major clubs, Le Palace, Elite, Miami, etc. actually do have contracts and are recruited through someone in Bogota. I am not sure if it is Noralba or not. They arrive with a limited time contract and a "special worker" type visa that matches the length of the contract. They also have a return ticket in hand as well, which is a requirement. If the girls do not leave at the end of their contract, they are in the country illegally and risk deportation if found. That is not to say this does not happen, but it does change their status. Also, the clubs have a fixed number of slots for girls on work visas. There was recently a big issue with Club Midnight where all the Colombianas were rounded up and deported for violating this issue.

My first novia in Panama was a girl from Pereira who worked at Life Girls. I was with her at the end of her contract as she was returning home. I went around with her as she went through the process of leaving. It was a bureaucratic nightmare with every stop asking for some small payment to process the paperwork. Not that they were trying to get her to stay, but they were extracting the last pound of flesh.

Henri John - Forget about the girl you met. Listen to the other guys on the board. The girls in Colombia who have never worked abroad will be much better than what you have experienced.

$40-50/day for room and board and it's $40/pop?? Throw in beauty parlour to have hair and nails done everyday and the way these gals like to buy clothes etc and it takes 3 fucks a day just to break even. I really don't know the Medellin p4p scene that well... ie. I don't really personally know the ins and outs with the gals. However, I did know a lot about the ins and outs of CArtagena and Santa MArta casas at one time... some of these gals go a few days without a pop... and then of course the good ones get a few a day. But 3, everyday just to break even in the Dutch Islands? Kind of sounds like a miserable life.

I know gals who have been recruited over and over to go to Panama or Curacao. The main reason these gals refuse to do it is because they all know someone who has 1) gone and either never returned and never heard from again or 2) been unable to leave for years because their debt was not paid off. I've heard stories straight from gals mouths that they were slaves and not given a penny, some not even allowed to leave the casa because the owner knew they would never return. I heard these stories firsthand from gals that worked in Santa Marta... granted it was 3-4 years ago... and of course, a lot of these gals lie for whatever reason... attention, sympathy etc. But, this whole rosy picture about gals actually having an opportunity to make money... actually that's always what they are told, is probably a glass that is half full. I.e. Obviously some gals must make money and come back with money or no one would go do it. Actually some would just to get out of Colombia. However, I have never heard of a story where a Colombiana actually left Colombia and 1) sent cash back to her family or 2) actually came back to Colombia with any cash. Again, I know very little about the subject as I was better versed on the subject 3 years ago and it wasn't this whole go to consulate and get a Visa and contracts etc. It was, somehow Visas were being given under the table , gals were being shipped off once they agreed, and they were basically signing their life away until they paid the debt for airfare, visa, and the price the casa owner paid the recruiter (a few thousand dollars), etc. Then when they get there, there's interest, room, board expenses etc. This was the stories I heard. Gals being told they owe in upwards of $10k... something they could never make in a year or two... mainly because as someone pointed out... stupid little multas.. ie. if you aren't dressed and ready to go by 7pm.. it's a multa larger than the amount she would make that evening anyways.

Sounds like the process has become legalized. What I heard more about falls along the lines of prostitute trafficking.

These are urban legends. Not in the Dutch Caribbean, the system is fully legal and controlled by authorities. All girls return home safe and with their well earned money.

Having said this, they have to work hard for this, few sleep, doing lot's of hours everyday, no free day during 90 days and doing an average of 5-6 customers a day.

Curacao is the best seal for the ladies. Unlike the other islands each woman is an individual entreprenur. She can set her own work hours, work as much as she wants or not at all. The only requirements are that she is in Campo from 6:00p to 6:00a., she has her weekly checkup, and she pays her room rent.

There is no sharing of rooms, except if on occasion Campo is overbooked, and there is not requirement to have the client buy drinks.

There is no slavery involved, but the women have to be serious about work if they are to show a substantial profit. They do make enough money to pay their bills while in Campo and to take home with them when they leave.

I personally know ladies who have bought houses in nice communities from their earnings.

As Zing has said time and time again if you treat the ladies right you will get back much in return.If you have a rental car, offer to take them to the beach, or to Punda. They really appreciate this especially if you treat it as a date with a non pro. Dont act as if you can touch and feel just because you are doing a favor.

You might be surprised at the reaction you might get.

I tend to favor the more mature women, and the feedback I have is that for many St. Maarten although lucrative is a horrible place to work when compared to Curacao. Aruba comes in second.

I am currently here on vacation from the US. I started in Cartagena and I am now in Bogota. Total time here is Colombia will be one week. There is alot of exagerated information on the web and travel books on how dangerous it is out here. Ignore all the BS. This is a very safe city and country. There is alot of police presence out here. You are going to love it out here.

Anyone know whether or not there is a bus that goes from the Airport to "downtown" Bogota? And where to catch it, the fees involved, etc?

Yep, you walk out front of the airport terminal, cross the two first lanes where taxis are waiting. After you've crossed, set back a little you'll see the last of these parallel lanes. Look at the left hand side (the direction traffic is entering from). You'll see a small bus stand and buses passing regularly, destined for all parts of the city.

For the historical centre you want the bus "Germania" which costs about 1100 pesos. Tell the bus guy you want to get off close to Centro. It will let you out at around 7th and cll 20. This is not a great area, you should immediately transfer into a taxi, keeping a close eye on your bags. For Zona Rosa there is another bus I'm sure, don't know exactly which one.
