I've RTFF as much as I could and well, here's my first post. I went out today to just have a look around and see what I could find, unfortunately the night ended up unsuccessful. Granted I wasn't really determined.
Went to FP, told me 25 dinars for a room (could have sworn I read people were getting 15-20BD rates on this forum) but that they were full anyway =/ I was surprised since it's a Tuesday.
Moved onto Seashell. I was somewhat confused here, I sat around drinking a beer and exchanging glances with some hot thais. However, no one was making a move and it seemed like half the place knew each other. I didn't really know how to go about the whole ordeal. Do I hit on them like I would a regular girl and discuss what happens later on? It didn't really seem like I could just go up to them and bluntly ask "how much for ST? " I saw 2-3 girls that I would have loved to pick up but I just didn't get what the 'system' is there.

Your experience in the Seashell sounds odd, one usually has to fight the little sweethearts off with a stick. What time were you there? Anything after about 7-30 and you should be guaranteed to score.
And where exactly at Seashell were you? If you found your way into the Filipino club where the live band plays then you will have been surrounded by attractive civilians who will hove found your presence curious to say the least. You actually need to be in the ground floor bar of the main building, behind reception, where the pool tables are.
However, regardless of time just try lots of eye contact and smiling. In the Seashell (Pool table bar) you face no danger of encountering embarrassed civilians.
If worst comes to worst you can just check in at reception and part of the process will be the receptionist asking you what nationality of girl you require with the room for your "Massage".
Give it another go and don't be shy.

At Seashells, as FFF said, you rarely face the danger of hitting on a non P4P, assuming you are in the pool table bar.
As a relatively new player in Bahrain, I faced the same dilemma in earlier days at Seashells, diggers, Adhari etc..There were days when all I did was a lot of eye contact and nothing else! And with half the place seemingly known to each other poses an additional barrier.
Anyway, desperation opened the way for me. And then realization dawned that it is too straight forward at seashells actually!
The trick is to tell yourself "everything is P4P at saeshells". And smile away..you will definitely get smiles back and some of them will approach ..
These days, however, I even skip the smile routine , just beckon the lady of eye contact with a pleasant node / wave and it does the job. Few pleasantries and you can straight go in to the "meaty part" of the discussion.

i don't really mind the one-off expense to be honest; i've often enjoyed venturing along the path less trodden, in mongering and in life, and it was fascinating anthropological research. i was certainly privy to a strata of society rarely tapped by westerners, and discovering the interactions, mind games, etc, was an interesting journey. oh, and the bone-shudderingly fantastic night of multi-positional, ass-clapping booty-humping didn't go down too badly either.
it's just too bad i ended up paying something like bd250 altogether (not to mention wasting about 15 hours over three nights) to get it. if there was an opportunity to get something similar for 10% or even 20% of the price, i'd be a regular.

You seam to have tasted Dubai MP scene which is much better suited to daytimers like me who can not go out in nights for various reasons. So far I have not found the MP in Bahrain having similar business model as Dubai (full service with good massage with inhouse condom). Please see my report on Royal hotel Thai MP a few days back, but I did not try so far, though they offered body to body massage at higher price. What a thinking, specially the last sentence in the above para. I also have the fantasy of holding those big headlights and back but the main point is their mindset is not service oriented, only thing they seam to want is your money without providing service. Whereas PRC and Russians know that this customer would come back if a good quality service is given. I am thinking of going to Bahrain for a 3 day weekend from Kuwait. Reading through the forum. I am looking for a hotel that has a lot of CIS action. Read the post on FP, though price and service is tempting I was wondering if I can live there for 3 nites. Some members reported it's a dump.
While Phonecia I would say is the best, the prices are somewhat expensive. Hotel rates is 111 usd and service provider charges 40ST. I remember in 2003 prices are 30ST and 80.00 a nite.
Can someone give me some other info regarding hotel and CIS action in Manama.

The only thing that puts me off of FP really is the bathrooms. Although the rooms are worn out, cigarette burns all over, broken cupboards, etc, its the bathrooms that bring the place down. Almost all the toilets I've seen have either broken or missing seats so I would never use them. Other than that, its OK with me, rooms are spacious, small kitchen with working fridge, no problem for a few hours stay, just the bathrooms keep me from an extended stay.
Frankly, theres all sorts of hotels/apartments that have plenty of WGs. For a few days stay, I would try the Misha'l Hotel (theres a pub there with occasional WGs) and resident Moroccans, Syrians, Lebanese. Or the Riyadh Plaza with Thais, Chinese, possibly CIS. These 2 places were recommended to me by friends who are also familar with FP but prefer them over FP and Phoenicia and are OK for staying overnight or longer. Info is a few weeks old, however you could drop by these places and discreetly ask the receptionist how many girls there are, where they're from and that you wish to stay there.
Returned to Rock Bottom in Juffair. New band, plays alot of R&B crap that is not my thing. Still alot of asian action there. Just go in and go over to the far side of the bar. Several thai ladies are there, some plump and a few smaller. I saw the thai cutey I met a 5-6 months ago (Sarah from my report last year), but she was all over some lucky bastard.
