On a lighter note, I spend some quility time in Managua and visited Casa de la Citas. Good line up for c200. I hooked up with a sweet 18 YO and had a good time. I also visited the CC nightclub and enjoyed it. The prices were not bad but I did takeout. I did not get to the Venus club this time because I cound not find it.

I spent some time up in Leon and found two nightclubs but the girls were rough. I stayed at each for 5 minutes and left. Seams the best action is in the city.

Well I didn't post is at his request as he doesn't need the traffic, and sorry to say, I am not sure a German living in Nicaragua would have to go back to Germany since he dislikes Americans. If he was in the US that would be a valid thing to say, perhaps. Quite a few Nicaraguans don't like the USA, can't imagine why not....

Venus is right across the street from Aqui Polancos and every driver in town should know that.

I found CC to be a smelly and overpriced dive and was very disappointed when I went there for the first and last time.

Club Hollywood is catering to businessmen gringos and the Japanese who don't flinch at the prices. The casas by and large are C200 - 250 and 300 other than Michael's special prices for you guys south of me :) And remember guys, Bellmary's is a clip joint, avoid.

Casa de la citas is also called Frannies or something like that. It is next to kelly tire and (west I think) of the Christ standing on a ball circle. It had some real nice talent there, best place I have been to in Managua. There were mostly Americans and Europeans during the day but a more local crowd at night.

As far as this German guy, I guess I am sick of all people hating a group of others. I mainly date Nicas here in Costa Rica and the Ticos are always talking bad about Nicas. According to them all problems in CR are because Nicas live here. I happen to like to Nicaraguan people, more friendly, harder workering and so-on, so I am sick of hearing it. Any person that wants to charge a whole group of people different before he knows an indivdual is.....well an asshole.

I am not slaming you at all but if he does not like a certain group then he should go back and deal with his own kind. I know the U.S. does not have a great history in Nicaragua but I am treated well and as a indivdual while there. In fact my desktop picture is an anti-persident (current) graffity slogan written on a wall in Leon. One of the biggest complaints in CR for any outsider (America, Canada,German etc.) is the different prices, IE gringo prices. I hate to see a few idiots start that trend in Nicaragua. As I said I love it there because of the lack of bullshit.

I write on different boards for people visiting Costa Rica how to avoid the scams and rip-offs, from taxis to strip-clubs. I do not care who they discrimnate against, a scam is a scam. Hell on second thought you should post the name, that way we can all avoid going there. Now it is Americans next month who, Itailians, Canadans or Australians???

You are referring to Fenix and at most times, and you seem to have been lucky it is a pit of drunk and half dead girls and dodgy Nico men.

I am in Managua now. This place is hot, very hot. I would agree with other monger descriptions. It has been difficult to find cabbies who know the casa or massage parlor scene. Many of the addresses on this board are out dated. I will do my best to put together an updated list.

The strip club scene is a rip off. It would be wise to have the chicks meet you outside the club. I got a girl from Hollywood for $60. Pics to follow.

You must have found the two cabbies in Managua that don't know the casas. If you read my INCREDIBLY detailed posts (since you are posting here you must be able to read things here) you have a list of all of them with phone #'s - have the cabbie call them, and pay him a buck extra for the call.

If you have any Spanish to speak with hi, just call Sergio at 853*7332 and have him take you to Cervezeria Mou C$200, Lorena C$320, Claudia C$250, and Morena's is open again, C$300.

I am seeking advice about Expatriating to Nicaragua or Central America.

Especially if where it would be safe to buy land without it being seized by the local government. Is Nicaragua too unstable?

The girls are largely poor and willing to do the horizontal Gueguense for little cash. The government is corrupt, and p4p is illegal, so it's not as cheap for you as it should be -- whoever sets it up takes lots. The other thing is appearance -- Nica women may be an acquired taste for you.

Land isn't too expensive yet, but plenty of problems exist -- one issue is many of the places you'll be offered if you go there and express a willingness to buy are not actually owned by the person taking your money. Also, Nicaragua has a history of expropriations of foreign-owned assets.

If you can afford a thin risk of being wiped out, and can deal with disease/power outages/high local prices on imported goods, Nica can be OK. If you've got a thick wad of cash and are willing to live with luxury but without normal comforts, Nica is great -- get a beachfront house for 100K in outlying areas, import your first $10,000 in household effects tax free, and hire a few servants to take care of you cheap. If the political situation goes bad, you can scoot overland to Costa Rica, and have a story to tell. If not, and with your assets saved elsewhere, you can live well.

How much money does it take? Well, last I checked the Nica govt would let you live there as a pensioner if you had $400 a month coming in.

Look carefully, take a trip or two to make sure it's right for you, and have an escape plan if you're going to do it at all.

I don't want to start some "flaming war" here, but I must disagree quite adamantly with many of the statements previously made by hot diggity. Sorry. I formerly lived and worked in Nicaragua for eight years and found it by far my most favorite locale in all of Latin America. Sure the place is incredibly poor, and a dump, but the people are wonderful, gentle, and really great. There are many excellent real estate opportunities along the beaches, in the mountains, and throughout the country. Working with a reputable realtor is a must, and getting "title" certified, guaranteed and insured is a must. I take very strong offense to the comment about the government being corrupt. The Bolanos administration is probably the best, most honest, and truly decent government this country has had in the past 100 years. I know Bolanos personally and he is a truly wonderful and great man. There are also numerous businessmen that are dedicated to growing Nicaragua out of the 3rd world. They can be reputable, brilliant, and very dedicated.

Though Nicaragua has its problems, it is not a true 3rd World, Banana Republic that is rife with corruption. You must be careful, but it is an honest place.

The girls are no where near as beautiful as Colombia or Venezuela, but they are sweet, fun, cut, and if you get the right girl in the right relationship. They will fuck you to death. The best sex of my life has been with Nicaraguense!

The flight from LAX to San Jose was terrible. Correction, the flight was okay it was the wait/boarding that was terrible. I flew LACSA. They had probloems with their reservation system and that caused a 3 hour wait. I just was able to board my 1:00am flight. Due to all of the passengers I was allowed one carry on. I checked one small bag and it was lost. That bag had my clothes and digital camera in it. I will never fly LACSA again.

I arrived in Managua on 4/28/05 @ 4:00pm on time. It was hot, very hot. I booked a room at the Hotel Almendro. I called two weeks ahead for a hotel sponsered taxi. The taxi was a no show. Fortunately, the airport is not to far from the hotel.
The Hotel Almendro was clean. I rented the double for $55.00 per night with tax. Many mongers have said this was a good and girl friendly hotel. The girl friendly part was correct. The hotel was adjacent to a construction zone. In Nicaragua there is no such thing as a compression gun. Every morning I heard pounding and hammering. There was also a music store across the street and they had the music at full blast in the morning. That sucked. Especially after being out until 4:00am every morning. I would not stay at this hotel again.

I was not able to find all the casas listed. I was able to find all the strip clubs. Here is my run down.

Hollywood- The best girls can be found here. $5 entrance. All cabbies know the location. I did not see any chick below a 7 ymmv. I met a chick named Shakira. Her real name is Claudia. She is about 5"9" you can't miss her she is the tallest girl there. I arranged to meet her outside the club. The club will charge you about $250 for an hour on premises. Claudia wanted $100 for three hours. I gave her $80 and I bought her dinner. She was okay. BBJ everything else is covered. DATY, Multiple positions. No rush. DFK. She was worth the $80.

You can't go wrong at Hollywood's. Just make sure the girl meets you somewhere else or its costly.

Vale Todo - This was the best strip club in Managua ymmv. The girls were 6,7,8, and two nines. I picked a blond Nica with green eyes. I cannot remember her name. I arranged to meet her outside the club for $75 for three hours. She gave me three hours worth of sex, but it was nothing to write home about. That is why I don't remember her name. GP: The rate is US$46 with tax and a tiny continental breakfast. Across the street are two houses. No music store. Behind is the back part of the UCA campus. I have no idea where you were. I was there March 23-29 and there was no noise or construction and nowhere to construct anyting either.

Cueto Club - It cost me $125. I know, That is expensive, but it was my last night and I said F##k it.

GP: I am amazed that anywhere especially Cueto Club costs 2,000+ cordobas - this is a rip off and is amazing if true.

GP :If you meet the manager early he is very nice (though looks like the tough vampire guy in from Dusk till Dawn) , quite accommodating and the prices are very good C500 - for a stripper and the love hotel across the alley. Across the street is the Venus Club - C500 onsite with any stripper you like.

You have that right - the voting process is clean and monitored and watched over by the army and the most honest democratic general they have - even for civic elections -which I observed there earlier this year. you cannot bribe the traffic cops, the immigration and customs guys are not looking for a penny (and welcome tourists with open arms) .

Try the DR for corruption with every level of government and a hand out for something at every turn - cops, customs, passport control, everyone.

The Nicaraguans will go out of their way to help you with a problem and expect nothing.

Good post: I've yet to visit Nicaragua, but have enjoyed many of their fine young women during four visits to Costa Rica. They tended to be very athletic and gave a good hard session. I would like to visit there at some point, once I improve my spanish perhaps.
