I will be in Nicosia in few and was thinking to finally visit the Turkish side. I have some questions:

1. Does Imperator have an address or is the name enough for the taxi drivers?
2. What are the opening hours for Imperator?
3. is CYP acceptable or do I need to convert to turkish lira?
4. Is there other places on turkish side worth visiting?

To answer your q's
1. Not sure of the Imperator address but any taxi driver in Nicosia should be able to find it. Just off the main roundabout heading to Kyrenia and near a big car showroom.
2 Open about 20.30 to 02.00 but you can visit daytime for a 1 hour session on the premises.
3. They'll be more than happy to take your CYP.
4 There are plenty of much better places than Imperator whose handy location close to the centre of Nicosia is the only thing in its favour. Spend another 10km worth of taxi money and go to Playboy. Or try one of the many other clubs in the vicinity of Playboy. All located along the Guzelyurt road but quite a bit further out of town. All well lit at night and visible from the road - with no doubts about what they are..............

Everything that Mcavity said was spot on.

I visited Imperator last week. I had a look through the photo album (all the clubs have one of these by the front door which you can peruse if you turn up during the day)

The number of girls had increased since my last visit in November and there were, in fairness a couple of girls I was interested in. However as McAvity said there are many better clubs like Playboy and Lipstick around 15 minutes down the road. Admitedly they are a bit more expensive, but the quality of ladies is generally higher. If you still want to go and if she is your type I can recommend Natalie as a thoroughly pleasant lady who if treated right will give you a Girl Friend Experience.

The main issue I have with Imperator is the squalidness of some of the rooms and areas such as the toliets. Lipstick and Playboy are way better in this respect.

If you want further info on the Northern side I have submitted a couple of reports recently with loads of detail and Mcavity has also submitted a very comprehensive report.

Time for another Nicosia Club update.

Some differences this time with a few stirrings in old haunts – nothing staggering but some signs of a pulse. Checked out a club that was new for this reporter – nice facilities – so-so girls and management with high expectations for prices that very much outweighed the quality. Slow business levels were seen for the most part which must have some affect on the numbers and quality of ladies making their way to the shores of Cyprus one of these days as contracts lapse with return home and in answer to potential new recruits’ questions of how is it in Cyprus? (to make money). Lousy – if they are polite.

Another major difference was the availability of an ISG member who was keen to assist in the heavy tasks of inspecting the many clubs that Nicosia has to offer. A great pleasure in getting out and about with Humsup and he seemed to enjoy himself as we knocked off one club after another. Humsup is a very experienced monger that usually makes the trek through far eastern climes and his point of view was both interesting and valuable. And then there was our intrepid comrade in arms, Ortos, man about clubs and well known on these pages. Ortos had an assignment to conduct a substantial number of inspections further afield which he has carried out with his usual aplomb. So he was missing on this inspection tour but this will hopefully be remedied in the not too distant future as we again hit the pussy highway together. Will be interesting to see his take on the Cyprus scene following an extended tour away and a compare and contrast. Ortos was very much missed, but with Humsup we proceeded to do what men have to do.

With back-up from Humsup, we even made a point of entering once again the doors of Elysee, once King/Queen of the Clubs and one that has provoked Excess in the past with its poor attitudes by waiters and a general take it or leave attitude. May have worked long ago in the past when there were knock-out stock in hand – I think I caught the end of the cycle several years ago – but now simply annoying. Humsup and I manfully spent an hour at Elysee as a double check – take or leave it? We left without a backward glance.

Do keep in mind that Excess’ Nicosia Club Updates are the opinion of this monger and so my own biases appear. There is some value in irregularly reviewing the same clubs as they do change monthly and the experience in any given club can and does vary often substantially. Always new stock coming ashore.

And so on to the Nicosia Club update

Elysee – Avoid. Was glad to have Humsup along as a check on my thoughts on this club. Same old difficulty in extracting a price up front from the same old waiters – why bother I ask myself? We did interview a couple of lower “B” teamers each – ho hum. And after that Humsup was able to experience the Elysee brushoff - “You have seen two girls, now pick one. Then we can discuss price.” Bye-bye Elysee and I think that I can say that Humsup wasn’t very impressed.

Crazy Horse – Still shut and in the Dumper. No loss at all to the Mongering community from the last few visits.

Casanova – Visit – good value club. George has been, umm, retired. Undoubtedly over the incident with the Ukrainian girl going beserk in the club during my last visit and report. New ‘owner’, same waiters. Walked in alone as Humsup was required elsewhere. And who was at the pole but Irina from Odessa. Big surprise, big smile. Took my seat and after the dance was over – you can guess who was immediately at my side. Nice DFK catch-up and chat, little question but time for a repeat.

A very full program offered for old times sake and accepted. Still has some problems in waking up for the morning call, but a great session. In the interests of keeping a good thing going – invited Irina out a few days later – she was in the “I sleep all night mode” – after an opening salvo – not good enough so reluctantly but with discipline threw her back into the pool after getting some more vibes that she had reached the “I am here for a few more weeks and I am fed up with Cyprus” stage. Too bad – but the re-union was memorable. Time for all to move on – it happens. A few new recruits were of interest, but of course, one’s style is a bit cramped when you have a ‘regular’ in the house. Coronet – Visit, as it may be coming back. This one time top club has finally seen some stirrings of coming back from the dead. Humsup was interested but the object of his interests was already engaged for the evening. The waiters will have to up their game as they were not too attentive to two very potential customers. Well worth ore frequent checks at Coronet and to see if they can bring back the A-team and not fall into the Elysee management style. Back on the radar screen.

Trocadero – Visit – good ambiance – some dross but a “happy club”.

Humsup and I made the rounds – with at least one to catch our eyes each. Humsup didn’t close the deal as he wished to shop the ailes elsewhere. I chatted with a Lebanese girl who seemed to pass her interview but later that night it seems that Excess’ radar needed to be re-calibrated – a poor session and attitude developed in room. Roxy – Visit – Mr. Tony was there. Nothing much for Excess – it is struggling to get some quality. Of course, there was Cleo – the little Filipina spinner who Excess took out and enjoyed. Luxor – Visit – nice facilities – B teamers. Arrived with Humsup who was not feeling too well this night and who said as we were going in that he would stay for 10 minutes, not have drink and leave. Reported this to our waiter and about to order a beer for myself, when the waiter told Humsup that you must order a drink, house rules. Attitude being everything – we simply got up and left.

Returned a few days later to see the layout – nice facilities, B teamers not the high end. Talked with the same waiter and told him that we were not pleased – his response was that you should have explained – ho hum. In any event, price required CYP 110. Over the top, for the quality, said so and left after a beer and two short interviews to feel the quality. Worth a repeat for the facilities and price check.

PUBS

On a slow afternoon, dropped into the Trocadero associated Pub, just past noon. A couple of low B teamers, had a beer or two. Got thinking as one does and inquired if Ruby might be free for the afternoon. Mr. Polis' assistant was there, called up and she was. Down in about 20 minutes - closed the deal CYP 50 for the club for the afternoon " 'tll about 7:00 pm, whatever". Ruby surprised and pleased since they didn't tell her who the Customer was and had checked with Mr. Polis who recognised my description OK'ing the deal. So this brings to a close another Nicosia Club Update. Club land is still very quiet, girls not pleased with the money flow. Clubs reaching out to new countries – Filipinas, Brazil, DR as word gets out in EE that Cyprus is not a winner for the workers. New stirrings in Coronet is encouraging. Some of the old haunts still can produce a winner. Key is to exercise selectivity and be sure that your radar is tuned in before selecting, but what else is new?

Very much enjoyed visiting the clubs with Humsup. Look forward to getting the Ortos and Excess inspection team on the road once again.

In order to clear the backlog before the next round of upcoming critiquing or mission reports in Northern, SE Asia & BGHJ 4 here are my reports on Nicosia. Note stated prices are All In rates.
