Hey I got question for who is living in Kuwait right now: Do the hotels allow Kuwaitis to check in for a night or so? Where can someone find furnitured apartment for one night?

They are in the waseet ad paper. you can also let ur girlfriend check in by herself. Sometimes they allow women to check in by themselves even if they are kuwaites, but she has to look decent.

Long time monger (in the US) and now visiting Kuwait. Earlier this year I was in Dubai. Sometime next year my company is might send me to Kuwait so I was wondering/concerned about the safety of travel of U.S. citizens (but I'm African-American).

Hey Joe, don't be concerned about Kuwait. A huge population of Americans and Foreign Country nationals are here. Mongering is plentiful just read the forums. It's more like dubai minus, drinks and women.

Does anyone know about "furnished flats"? I've heard there are many in Salmiya but you need to know the right people to access one. Is there anyone who can throw some light on this?

I am a new member of this society, I have been to Dubai many many times and had some wounderful times. It seems to be so hard to get some fun in kuwait, I am a kuwaiti and I sppeak a fluent english.

Have you tried Jazeeraairways dot com. They are a cheap, Kuwait based carrier offering very reasonable rates from Bahrain to Dubai. Check the site for the connection from Kuwait to Bahrain. Also could try the relatively new Air Arabia site. Jazeera can be booked online and issue an e-ticket.
