Make sure to review all that this room has to offer about your trip. I was a newbie Jan.2007 and because of reading here I made 5 trips down last year. Everyone is right on target, find a partner in crime while you're there. We are not hard to find. Enjoy the trip it won't be your last.

be it legal or otherwise.Lets not sugarcoat this. The fact of the matter is if it were as simple as acuiring a passport and visa then many more people would migrate to DR. The Dominican government is NOT going to let that happen.I know several people who have tried to do just what you mentioned. Its just not that simple.

If you are traveling by yourself, it could be hard. I passed by the Hilton and I didn't see anything nearby (I did see some SW's, but would not recommend messing with them).

I walked around all over the place during the daylight hours, I felt comfortable but I would not even think about doing that in Haiti. Night time is like anywhere else, dangerous is dangerous, whether in any high crime US city or a developing country.

I enjoyed the bars, they were not high pressure like I thought they would be. I brought back a phone book, I could give you a list of the bars (there aren't that many). There is one that I want to try when I go back, I forgot the name. I went there with my new friends but none of us saw anyone who caught our eyes. The thing that interested me about the place is that they have rooms upstairs.

I would have a plan before going. I had a plan which none of it was carried out because I got involved in something better, but that is okay, I will do them on the next trip.

One last thing, there is suppose to be a really large, very touristy, nightclub called La Gua'cara Taina. If you can make it over there, let us know how it is.

Does anyone know where the tourist girls hang in night clubs?

I saw a few good looking girls in my hotel, but I didn't approach anyone.

Thanks[/QUOTE]In the phone book, they just list all the bars together. I could not tell you which ones are the "girly" bars. I will tell you the two I went to and just list the rest.

I went to "Sky High Bar"-Av pasteur 17 and "The Girl House Cafe Bar"-Av Pasteur 21. They are right next to each other. I had an excellant experience. They gave me time to narrow the field of over 30 women down, with no pressure. Trust me, its hard, really hard.

I plan to return in May to SD. I hope to do the things, I had originally planned to do. My first night there, I will hook up with "Maria". She had a tele star that wanted to meet me. Hopefully, she will be available.

I plan to meet with a woman I met in the "Sky High Bar" named Tanya. She doesn't know I will be looking for her. I hope to do a TLN and pay for her the next day. One of the guys I was with, wanted to take his girl from Sky High to Boca Chica. The Jefe was asking 6K pesos for the day. I told him not to bring sand to the beach. I am trying to get my girl for the day to use as a tour guide.

I am quite sure speaking Spanish is a big plus but you can get by without knowing a word. If you do learn the basic phrases you will probably forget them the first time you try to use one. I tried the electronic translator thing and it is not of any real use, just something else to keep track of.

Honestly, all you need to know is how much for how long. The chicas are very good with punching in the prices on their cell phone. You just need to know is the price for a couple of hours or TLN. I prefer ST with chicas I don't know. I like to sleep sound at night and not worry about some chica sneaking out the door with my valuables.

This is very utilitarian. You might want to flirt with the young lady first to get a feel for her personality, and you might wish to communicate with her a little when you get to the room and put her at her ease. Even if you don't know much Spanish, it all helps.

Oh I agree it does help, but no need to panic and try to take a last minute crash course. I just know a few words to get my point across. The very little I know helps because it gets the chicas laughing at my non Spanish speaking self.

The fact is, there aren't alot of escort type services I could find. I went online and only found four and they were more expensive.

I only liked two out of maybe ten from the pixs Maria had sent me.

I only asked for one and she found the other on her own, I told her I wanted a threesome.

The "only" reason I am using her service again is because she wanted me to meet some tele actress. If this woman is not available, forget it. I am more curious who she is. I sent her a pix of me and this woman wanted to meet me, but didn't want to say her name or send a pix (understandably).

This service probably was expensive to many guys but it was great service and worry free. I started out my trip with "positive" feelings about the island and that carried all the way through my trip.

I paid Maria $100US and one of the girls was st and the other was TLN.

I was never thinking about going to the bars, I thought they would be like the high pressure bars I have been to in Mexico, but they are not.

Let me just say this. I spent 4 days with 3-(8's) and 1-(9). All GFE and coming from Las Vegas at the prices I paid, it was a steal.

I am use to high end, clean girls. I will not get involved with SW's. It's not my style and I don't knock anyone in the manner that they monger. I have found that gfe's are not easy (we are just numbers) and I get more joy when I know I have won her over-like making her cum.

I got good advice from a member and I am passing on my own experience. There will be variables due her mood, her likings of you, atmoshphere (a nice room with a good sound system, relaxes them everytime). So, what happened with me might not happen to someone else.

There is so much for me to do in DR. I haven't even scratched the surface.

The main thing is that "they" the people of the DR make me feel at home.

I have traveled to many countries and have not always been well received.

If you find your niche, run with it.

I do not understand about the bars you went to in Santo Domingo. I have been to SD many times, and I am still looking for bars in which the girls are independent and one pays the girl, not the bar. I really dislike dealing with the bar owners, who have promulgated a totally deceptive system in Santo Domingo, and give the girl a relatively small fraction of the earnings.

Did you pay the bar or the girl at Sky High Bar or the Girl House Cafe Bar? Was it a fixed price, or was there negotiation? Was TLN really TLN?

First off, I'd like to thank all posters here. The information that you provide people like me is invaluable. I only make the trip to the DR once a year and so by most standards I am a newbie. I would like to know the telephone number of a few reliable and perhaps english speaking taxi drivers that I could count on in Santo Domingo. I will be on the South coast from Feb 26 to March 5. Santo Domingo is a really nice city but not a mongers paradise. I am not in the DR to try to score a dozen chicas a day so SD is fine with me. Dealing with the casas P4P can get quite expensive. If you find the "salida free" bar please be sure to post.

Are you looking for a driver just to go from Point A to Point B or do you want to hire a driver for the day?
