We've tried to warn them for years about getting fleeced, but Ultimately have failed.

The issue isn't the 500 k, the issue is what 500 k gets you. I don't know how else to show people they are being ripped off. Each to his own I guess.

As for me, I'll Take my 500 k where it gets me maximum value.

The advice from older posts is still good:

Take the Line 4 to the north and exit the train at Gireum station. It is the 4th station after Dongdaemun.

Some of the shops might not wave you in and that is ok. There will be tons of mama-san that will ask if you want HJ or sex etc. Just explore the area. Don't worry. You will get laid.

You'll see lots of old women sitting on the various benches around. Easiest way to identify a place that is "foreigner" friendly (for some definition of the term) is to wander until one tries to attract your attention. Maybe they won't budge on a first attempt but will do so later.

Anyway there are lots.

Nor will you walk in and out of every establishment. There are just too many. Usually I find what I like after one or two, and it helps to have written down on the phone what I want using a translate programme.

I've found the place late at night. Last three times I was there was about 3 am.
