Cebu Pacific has a new offshoot
I posted this on the Cebu forum thread but might be missed by guys who don't go to Cebu.
You should recheck the whole new line-up for Cebu Pacific flights.
The "new" badged airline as part of Cebu Pacific is called "CebGo" and will be departing from Terminal FOUR, the oldest of the 4 NAIA terminals.
Lots of new flight destinations scheduled along with additional flights to current destinations. Examples are Clark to Cebu; 2 extra daily flights to Cauayan in Nth Luzon (makes 3 instead of 1), and many others.
You will now need to be ULTRA cautious in checking your airport departure point because it might no longer be Terminal 3 for all Cebu Pacific flights.

Go PAL (Plane Always Late)
Booked a PAL non-stop from the US west coast to Manila. My 777 was replaced with an A-340. I never noticed the switch till I was onboard (there was no announcement at the gate). The F / A brought me an individual charging unit (which kept my phone topped off the entire flight), and they brought iPads w / headphones for anyone wanting to watch movies (the iPad has all the movies, TV shows, and music from the AVOD system). The service was overall on par with any other airline I've flown. The only other downside was that the A-340 could not fly non-stop to Manila, and had to layover for an hour in Guam for refueling.
In addition, I took a flight from Manila to the province the next day, also PAL. Booked a premium economy seat for some extra pesos. Wonderful choice, as the seat pitch is greater (plenty of legroom), I got to board the plane before economy. Does CP offer this? And there is a small meal included (sandwich, drinks).
Were you business class? From HNL to MNL PAL uses the 320 aircraft, and I always fly business class. Yeah, spoiled now. But chose PAL because they fly nonstop, have their own terminal, and at the time, the business class price was only 2 x the coach price. Have used the miles on occasion for free upgrade. Anyway, I will be doing the same flight in March; one night in Manila and on to Cebu the next day, business class also. CP is way cheaper, but comfort rules. You don't want to be the richest man in the cemetery. Happy New Year to all.
