I ask this question because my first day (first time in Sosua) I was relaxing at the Rumba checking out the scene drinking a beer. El Flow seems to have a monopoly on ugly women and in all the years I have been to Sosua I have never extracted a woman from there.

There are many retired men in Sosua from all over the world. Some are physicians, or educators who still retain professional assessment skills and take an interest in the lives of the young people whom they fuck and do actually try to help them improve their lives. Others are just drunks and addicts who are even more mixed up than the chicas they hang out with and incapable of offering them anything. Either way, if you know someone over a period of time, they become more than a pussy vending machine.

I know a young woman who has become a mom for the third time with no idea of how life would evolve from the basement it is in. And life goes on mostly thanks to state aid and the age old profession which is obviously shot at this phase given the physical demands of maternity. When one is obsessed with survival in general with no back up, I perfectly understand why personal and professional would be intertwined.

But I don't know if its a "Fall from grace" as you say. The two situations that I personally know about are very simular. They live in Casa Linda houses and each has one child by a German guy. The girls are sent money every month and don't walk the street tricking in Sosua. I dated a girl who stayed in a guest house by the pool, it was a very nice apartment. Most of the time the girls were hanging out drinking by the pool telling their "I'm Lonely" stories.
