If someone does not want to rent a car is their a decent hotel in the area that you can stay in and walk the area where the SW are?

Also are their hourly hotels nearby to do the deed or is a car date?

A lot of guys stay at the Hotel Mystik on Pasteur. It is one street west of Maison Gautreaux near the north east corner of Pasteur and Independencia. Casas and SWs are all around the hotel, do your best to avoid the touts. They are harmless but annoying.

Etc.[/QUOTE]I apologize for not knowing the geography, but all I know is that if one walks down the Conde from the direction of the Plaza Colon, there is a tourist police station on the left side of the Conde. This is the corner where the barber shop / massage parlor is located. And, there is a barber shop / massage place on the Conde almost across the street from the police station. My encounter took place about 7 pm, when the Conde was pretty dark. The massage rooms were upstairs from the barber shop, and hence there actually was real privacy (by the way, the massage place in the airport, which is located after immigration as you walk to the A terminal, has private rooms. I turned down an offer from a very pretty masseuse because I was a bit late for my plane. I hope someone will check this out and let us know what is no the menu!!!)

You might be correct that these massage places have been there for years, but it was a real surprise to me. The Tourist Police have aggressively been chasing ladies away from the Conde and the Plaza Colon for many years (I first started coming to the DR around 2004, and it was a lot easier to find a pretty girl on the Conde in those days than it is now). Given that I had witnessed the police arrest a young woman for? Loitering in the Plaza Colon an hour earlier on the same day, I was shocked that it was possible to get a BBBJ so close to the police station. The girls in these massage places are, as you say, clearly available to take back to the hotel, and for a guy like me, that is pretty convenient. It certainly beats a trip to the GBP, because I always stay at the Palacio, which is on the Conde (and VERY girl friendly, by the way).

I should mention that these massage places open at 10 am. I am always on the prowl for morning sex, and I have had a variety of experiences hunting for chicas on the Conde, mostly sub optimal. There are many options on El Conde but you have take your time and choose wisely. Always be clear on what your are getting and what you are paying. I have seen some of the massage girls and they are not bad but pricing varied greatly. The guys that run these shops are often serious con men so be careful. They prey on tourist fears and will take advantage when ever possible. I have picked up several SWs at Pacos / Grands. The girls will work for 1000 to 2000 pesos. There is competition so the girls are motivated. I had one who was a solid 8 -9 and performed like a champ.

This is my second post. I am flying into Puerto Plata on 1/29. I originally thought about staying 5 days there but am contemplating splitting my trip. Half time in SD?

Why? I live on an island so beach and sun are no big deal. I like the fact that girls in sosua are all over and easy but the more pics I look at. Ehhh. Not sure if my type. Yes there are some gems. But also lot of used trashy types. I also would like to get a cultural experience. And I wonder if sd has that.

Sd has at least a million more prettier girls than Sosua. The main strip in Sosua is 2 blocks at the most, couple thousand at the most. You won't find that many 9's and 10's in Sosua. Sd costs 1000-3500 for a girl depending on where you get here. Sosua is a ho beach town, its not the real dr as far as culture goes.
