The location of the lodge is excellent as it is close to Soi Cowboy, Starbucks, Banks, the BTS Phat Phroeng station, etc... From here it is really easy to get around.

Yes your spelling was a little iffy at times.
I guess "Phat Phroeng" BTS station is actually "Phrom Phong" (sounds like prawrm pong). Could have got confused with "Phat Phong" (a girlie district).
But Thai words are always confusing.
...
I'm staying in Livingstones Hotel for a few days in a couple of weeks.
Can someone please tell me is the sports bar open all day?
What time do the girls start? Any tips would be great as this is my first visit.
...
Mick Ireland,
The Sports Lounge is open for our hotel customers all day - but the girls usually start working at 5 pm. But - some of them are here earlier, sometimes all day. Furthermore it is up to you to make agreements, and then they will be there either.
Don't worry too much, there are many things to do here in Bangkok, and everything can be arranged - just talk to me.
Looking forward to meeting you soon.

Long overdue
Hi Mr G.,
A very long overdue thank you for finding time to talk to me when I visited you at the end of August. I certainly had an outrageous time in Thailand. Incidentally, I never visited you again not due to lack of respect but due to a change in plans. The following day I packed my bags and went to Chiang Mai. It was lovely. Thanks again and hope to see you next year.
Cheers and take care,
Taka

Timings?
Hi Giotto.
I am thinking of a 2 night stop over on my way thru BKK. (I do this trip several times a year). My problem is the timing of my flights? I arrive at 1am on the 19. 10. Allowing for customs and transfers does this allow me time to visit your famous bar that nite?
I am on the 2. 30am flight out on the 21st (I assume I’ll be checking out of your hotel late ob the 20th. Will I be charged 2 or 3 nights?
What are the differenced between your superior and deluxe rooms? And do you have any vacancies on my planned days? Can you rrnge airport pickup and drop-offs?
Cheers,
Doody

Returning to the Lodge
A friend returned to the Lodge today - one of those European guys I had a verbal disagreement with right in the beginning, but afterwards we had a lot of fun.
Hey man, Mrs. Giotto can be disturbing sometimes, right? Come back, let's have a dinner together, may be somewhere outside, then we can talk [without *****es] :).
Mr Doody,
Thanks for your interest in staying at the Lodge. Let's discuss all reservation issues per E-Mail or via our website: http://www.livingstones.co.th .
Early 19.10 - that's the night from Thrusday to Friday, usually the bar closes there at 1 am. You will not arrive at the hotel before 2:30 am. Most likely nobody will be here any more (except the front desk staff), but of course we can arrange something.
Please contact me via PM.
I had the very definite pleasure of staying at Livingstone’s Lodge twice in the past month, most recently two weeks ago. I haven’t read many reports that describe the "live-in" experience, so I thought a contribution to the Forum would be worthwhile.
...
TimTimGuy,
Thanks for your report, and thanks for staying at Livingstone's. You obviously enjoyed the time here :) ...
I have now the problem of trying to remember who you were. Did we ever talk? I have no idea at this moment.
It was a pleasure to read your report - you knew how to enjoy your stay here, you took it easy, and you understood the philosophy of Livingstone's quite well. I hope we will have many guests like you in the future.
Hope to see you again soon, and don't forget to contact me when you stay here next time.

Coming to the Lodge
I have been reading and lurking for months and I am finally done with planning my trip to BKK. Giotto, your reports and information has been fantastic so I decided to book a 3 night stay at the lodge despite the fact that I was already booked with another establishment. I just confirmed today with Guido, and I cant wait.
To introduce myself to the forum, I have been part of the scene in the states for quite a few years, am in my 20's, and have explored the scene in Europe (Germany, Netherlands, etc). Btw, I can absolutely reccomend a visit to the FKK's in Germany and on the Netherlands border. Fantastic, but extremely expensive. Been to Asia a few times in the past but never Thailand.
Anyhow, I am looking forward to my visit and I hope I have an opportunity to buy Giotto a drink for all the great posts on the forum. I will be in LOS from Dec 25th to Jan 9th, with the last three nights being at the Lodge.
...
Butterflys are abundant in the Sports bar.
Your "reputation" is not something to be concerned about.
...
Mick Licker,
I never ever saw a butterfly in the Sports Lounge up to now. Not a single one :) !
Another phenomenon is that there are obviously only male butterflies in Thailands bars. The females, changing customers every day, consider themselves to "work".
This is Thailand.

Yes its a quite big double standard. The girls always the excuse that everything they do doesn't count, its just business, meanwhile the guys are butterflys, "Djao Choo", and many other names because we wanted to do it for pleasure.
A girl can call a man "dtolair" (slimy lying bastard) but we cannot call a girl that under any circumstances.
In my case I have a good heart but just with too many girls rather than exclusively with one - like being her property.
So my feeling is that a girl wants to own a guy, lock, stock and barrel or sometimes want to own more than one.
I feel the guys can have multiple wives as long as the wives are allowed to have multiple husbands as well. We have to be fair.
No double standards from us guys :-)
...
I wuld be in Bkk in the night of 15 October for work. Will stay at Shangri la hotel. How far is Giotto's lodge from Shangri la hotel and can I get good girls for a couple of hours each night? How much do I have to pay if they come to my hotel?
...
Hasan2502,
Shangri La hotel is about 30 min. with a taxi from here. It depends on the traffic, can also be 2 hours or 20 min. .
I have no idea whether you can get good girls for a couple of hours each night. That depends on you, only on you.
Thanks, Giotto,
Can I get good girls from Giotto's Lodge? If yes, for how much?
Take care, Hasan
Hey Hasan
This is not a brothel. And Giotto is not a pimp. So I suggest you go somewhere else like Khao San Road and Chinatown. I am sure you will be quoted rates by the hour. Or if you can afford it, call the Escort Services.
As the TQM Manager, I sure don't like your attitude and you are not welcome. Sorry, Dr. G, but I could not help it.
