Davivienda ATMs are the best. Any other ATM is acceptable, but the withdrawal limits are lower and the fees are gonna be the same. Any other way you'll get ripped off.

I've read this forum for a while, and enjoyed the spectacular women of Bogotá on a couple of occasions, but this is my first time posting.

Based on a couple of favorable reviews in this thread, I went last night to Bar Zhivago (Juan Pablo Karaoke), located at Carrera 18 # 93A-83. I arrived walking, and had a bit of trouble finding the place (no signs identify the business). It's on the south-west corner of the intersection of Cr 19 and Calle 93A.

On entering (no cover) I was pleasantly surprised to find 20 or so young women milling about. I started with a beer at the bar, and got caught in a conversation with a dark haired girl from Medellin. She wasn't my type, but it took me a while to find the heart to send her away. Once free, I milled around a bit and talked to a number of girls. The one that I had identified as the most attractive turned out to have zero personality. Something told me that she'd be mechanical in bed. I concur with other reports that point out that the girls here seem much closer to semi-pros than the more-or-less hardened hookers that I've seen at places on Calle 86. Most claimed to be students. None were from Bogotá.

Eventually I found a girl who delighted both my eyes and brain, and we retired to one of the club's on-site rooms (I'm here w/ co-workers and not keen on running into one while I'm escorting a chica home). I was thinking about what some of you have said about forgetting about Diana. (a chica I'm looking for)All good advice and some valid points but I'm still interested in finding her so my search continues. I asked around the bar where I had her and I got an email address from someone else! Big score. I think I also should mention that she's not my first chica, I've had Diana before about 8 years ago in Bogota when she first started out. So to my surprise when I saw her again last December. Yes, others have been in this situation and other will be. It's easier to get a girl pregnant than to get AIDS actually from bareback.

What you should know is that whatever the decision you take, it is now, not after the result of the DNA test. If you start to do this, believe me, there is no way out anymore. Do you realize what's next? Do you really want a hooker being the mother of your child? Do you really want to marry, build up a family and raise kids with a hooker? Where? In Colombia or in your homecountry? Or do you want to send all your life money to a hooker to take care of your child at a distance? Or do you think you can just live on with the idea that somewhere in a thirdworld country you have a child that is struggling with an unfair life? Are you emotionaly prepared to face one of those options?

I can't give you the answers to all these questions, it's up to you. So, unless you have already the correct answers to the previous questions, my advice is not to go to meet her with your DNA test and forget about it. You won't be able to do turn your back once you have the result of the test.

I am flying into Bogotá’s Aero Puerto Internacional El Dorado on American Flight #913 from Miami. I need to meet up with a friend to catch a Avianca flight. Would someone please verify if American Airlines uses the Puente Aereo Terminal as opposed to the older El Dorado Terminal.

Getting into Colombia is easy. Getting out of Colombia leaving a Child behind and no legal arrangements might be impossible. If you are American you will find that the colombian system of justice is very slow and cumbersome. You could possibly be denied leaving the country until the legal issues of your "child " is resolved. I would avoid this situation unless matrimony or living together is in your plans.

I believe in checking American Airlines that they do use the older airport terminal El Dorado.

As I recall, all international flights use El Dorado as well as all, non-Avianca, domestic flights. The other airport is only Avianca domestic.

American Airlines only flies into/out of El Dorado.

All Avianca international flights are out of/into El Dorado.

All Avianca domestic Colombia flights are out of Puente Aereo.

Thanks for all your suggestions about this dna testing thing. I went to Colombia and came back home already and then I found out yesterday that I AM the father of a little girl. I never really thought that this would happen to me. I knew it is a possiblity but, come on now! I'm not interested in being in a relationship with the mother but I want to provide for this child as she had no fault in this situation. My girlfriend knows about this now and she's the one that convienced me to do "the right thing". I fully agree with my gf. This is such a surreal situation but I can't handle the thought of this child not having all the things I grew up with. I'm an idiot for getting myself here and I just want to do the right thing now. BTW does anyone know a driver (for the entire day)that can drive me around Colombia when I go back there?

Also ,I forgot to mention. I WASNT barebacking. I even asked her if she was taking the pill and she said yes.
