Hw will be interesting to read about your observations.
I rhetorically tend to nod in agreement with all posts stating that being well dressed is the way to go, but when I start to think of real life scenarios I suddenly find myself in doubt as of to why we as men and hunters like to dress in expensive (looking) clothes.
In my opinion, If you wish to hook up with a 9-10 pointer that is yet in her teens or early 20s dress code will matter. The same goes for most upper middle class girls, and upper class girls, with a decent to good look and not to many years of single life in the back.
But in all honesty you could wear a potato sack and plastic bags on your feet and still score as a white dude in Philippines. If you are white your are rich. Or at least richer than the average pinoy. Thats the preconception. If you are willing to go above 30 there are thousands of girls that lost hope as well as any form of cloth related discrimination years ago. Pardon my French, but you can fuck such semi fat and semi saggy 30+ females daily for months and not hit the same hole twice.
I dress well, but it is a way of pleasing my own ego as well as the ego of the girl that happens to be with me. In addition it is a signal as of to whom I wish to associate with. Like a uniform of the ones we associate with. And as always people tend to over-interpret the importance of the values in ones own reference group. This establishment of norms often take the shape of expressions of what great advantages it has, for example when it comes to hunting punani. These claims often go unchallenged, since we ventilate it in our own little flock; hence little reason exists to really stress our "truths" with empirical tests of any form. The reason is to make us feel better as individuals and stronger as a group. Not rarely there is also a secondary agenda of smudging another group that we do NOT belong to. A way of socializing within your group, and at the same time mark your norms to signal your distance from the "unworthy". HW you will be our professor in this matter. And remember to smie equally much, be equally unshowered and spend equally much cash to get a valid result in this little experiment.
When I do long hauls on air planes I sometimes fly in jogging pants and soft t-shirts. The way people treat me is significantly different than if I fly more "well dressed". I am treated with suspicion and as a less worthy person. The irony of it all is that my jogging pants cost what 3 pair of chinos costs and my sneakers would buy me 2 pair of formal shoes. In fact, a suite is cheap compared to branded sports wear. If you do not believe me I urge you to stop in the Ferrari stand in you next visit to Changi. 450 Euros for a nice but quite simple sporty jacket!
As a consequence of above, it is clear that your clothes can be a way of making contact with people you would normally repel.
If I go on my bike out on the islands or drive in the back streets of Boulevard or Querino I do not wear a shirt, since it attacats the attention of people that could be said to stand on the absolute opposite pole in this dress up game. Poor slobs that would like nothing else than to put their hands on the pockets of my shirt. I rather have a pair of army shorts and a t-shirt, not to distant from what the other in these barios have.
I actually had experiences that contradict the idea that well dressed men have better luck. I found more than once that my formal clothing I wear for work just scared off the little tight nymph I tried to make contact with. And when I met some upper middle class girls they acted as if they had a stick (not mine though) up their ass (that came later). Then I go home and dress down to chinos and a short sleeved shirt, and suddenly little miss Davao is all bubbly, happy and eager to please. The ones that would deselect me because my shirt wasn't ironed will not hang in Victoria or go to an Internet café to check her YM. You would meet them in an environment that would already require you to adapt to a dress code, hence you would just be one amongst other dressing more formal.
So isn't dressing well is a way of primarily projecting our inner ideal self on our environment, rather than a required trick to score someone we see deserving of getting nailed that night? Isn't it just a fairly cheap way of signaling the image of a successful man, not to seldom to satisfy our own ego rather than score the right women? A way of respecting you own intentions of being someone "to count on".
Well, a lot of words for nothing as usual, but I guess what I am saying is.
A) You will have 2 girls every night even if you dress like a retarded janitor. They will just smell worse and have browner teeth.
B) As in all companies, OVER-dressing will punish you just as much as under-dressing. Dress a few holes higher than average Joe, and your target female will experience the exact right mix of respect and curiosity.
Happy new year from Barba!
