Hi Guys!
I am thinking of visiting the Cocal again. It would be my third time. My first two times, it was a long weekend, Wed to Sat stay. This time, to make it work, I might have to make it a Sun to Wed thing.
How is the poolside action on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday? Does it decrease by a little? A lot? Is it dead?

I'm sure you can get a girl at the end of the night to go back to Amapola. But the Cocal girls for the most part like to turn over several guys a day. Amapola takes them out of play for extended time. You'll have to pay for that during peak hours at Cocal if they will go at all?

Thanks in advance![/QUOTE]It decreases a lot. The girls from San Jose are on their way home by Sunday afternoon. And a lot of the full time girls take Monday off, usually to spend time with their kids and spoil them with all the weekend money they've made. There are still a lot to choose from, but they are almost all done by Midnight, not the 2_3 am you have on the weekend.
It gets a little better Tues, and keeps building as you get closer to the weekend.

Booked to return to Jaco but need advice on where to stay. I was there last summer and I stayed at Copacabana / naked iguana. It was ok but a little weird. I was thinking about staying in Cocal since that's where most of the action is. Only the rooms are a little pricey and I hear the rooms are small. I also hear Hotel Jaco is guest friendly and they have decent rooms. Which would be the better stay? And how far apart are they? Close enough where the girls wouldn't mind walking?

Was totally guest friendly a few months ago but I would confirm through their website as rules can always change. Each room is unique and you select your specific room when booking.
Cocal rooms are much smaller but are still decent. I just can't deal with the late night noise.

I'll be in Jaco for a week starting Thursday afternoon. Then up to the SL in San Jose next week.
Very familiar with massage parlor prices on the main drag in Jaco.
After going to the Cocal for past ten years, well aware of pricing discrepancies and variations based on quantity and quality of the ladies. And obviously the quality of your own game. Last few (COVID) years have seen some crazy pricing swings. Last year had one 30 YO Venezuelan with fake cans and bumba with Covered everything service asking $500 a night only to be left at the altar every night that I was there. Another cute early 20's Nicaraguan gem was asking $200 for long-time (5 AM) curfew at the Bahia Azul was gone every night by 8 PM.
But. Can anyone update the thread on what the good looking Ticas are asking the average gringo for short stay / long stay currently at the Cocal now?
