I am visiting Hongkong shortly 3 days Hongkong and 2 days Macau with wife and kid.

Would do all the sight seeing stuff in morning hours and would like to do solo xploration at night.

How is the bar / pub scene in HK? I have heard about the Wan chai and Lan Kwai Fong RTFF. How is the discrimination level there. Are Indians Welcome there? I have witnessed lot of discrimination in WS pattaya Gogos.

Thats why I am asking I will avoid visiting such places. Also have heard that these places are too expensive. The drinks, entry, Lady drinks and BF will cost around 5000 HKD. Is it so?

Which are the nightlife places which are affordable and not a rip off where there is no discrimination? Also was reading about walkups. Many sites like miss148 database doesn't display the age also mostof the time face is blurred. How to choose then?

Do we need to call first and take an appointment (sometimes Tel no. Is also not provided) or just show up in the locations without any prior appointment? I think Temple street is a good economical option for just show up, whenever I get some little time.

Now, its just financial discrimination. Don't think its just Indians that are discriminated against. Even Chinese are in the same boat too. The door men have their protocols as to whom to let in and whom to charge.

There are ways to circumvent that. You could befriend them. You could go early to the bar when they are not working, or if you meet some other Caucasians in another bar and if they are headed to say Neptune 3, then you can tag along with them. When you get to the bar, make sure you order a drink.

I don't know about LKF because that's where my kid and his friends hang out, so I have no comment. But that's more a civilian place and you better have the gift of gab to pickup or perhaps a deeper wallet.

In Wanchai, if you can't be bothered schmoozing the door men, then you can think about these places. Escape (where your bill at the end of the night may hit 5 K, but ohhh the beauties), Joe Bananas, Amazonia and even Players, I think. Most of the doormen except for Joe Bananas are Nepalese, so no worries on the "discrimination" front. You will be let in without any hassle.

As for the girls, it all depends on how you act and how much effort you put in to making them comfortable. Making them laugh goes a long way. Buying them drinks helps. Make friends with them. Order some fish and chips and then enjoy the pleasure of feeding them. Then start the negotiations at an appropriate time.

As for your 148 site, unless you speak Cantonese and Mandarin, I would not bother calling. Go to the buildings where they have a high number of providers and keep knocking on your target and if they're busy, you have more doors to knock on in that building. By the way, some of these girls do discriminate against non-Chinese.

You might find Macau easier to play. I guess it also depends on how long you plan to be "out" at night.

Have been to HK several times, and all the places I went to have had mainly philli WGs. I travel to Thailand frequently and as you can easily find really hot and partying thai girls, I can't help feeling the phillis in general are no match. A matter of personal taste of course. Looking for thai girls in HK doesn't seem to make much sense either when I'm arriving fresh out of Bangkok.

Just back from my yearly shopping trip to Thailand. No rain for 2 weeks. A bit quiet for this time of year though lots of lovely ladies. Unfortunately Songkran is getting crazier each water.
