Leaving all the "snarky" comments aside, I think you will find that as a rule most men in Asia tend not to wear shorts. A bit of a surprise given the usual temps and humidity in this part of the world, but that's my observation.
While I doubt you will be denied entry, you most likely will feel "underdressed" in most the clubs / bars in Wanchai or LKF if you wear shorts. I also suspect some kind of collared / polo shirt would be more in line with the norm.
The walk ups /141's it will make little difference as long as you don't appear like a street person.
I am sure there are diverse opinions on this, but that is my perspective.

Hi all, was in Hong Kong a couple of weeks ago for a couple of days, stayed in Kowloon and did the usual walk ups for massage, hit or miss I would say, they advertise foot massage but when you get there they want you to take the full body massage. For the first time I tried K-pressure, as most of you know its $390/ Hk dollars plus another $120/ for the room. Went there in the afternoon, all the girls were busy and had to wait, after about 15 min the mamasan brought in a young girl from China, nothing much in her and could not speak English, gave her a miss, then five min later another young girl form China who was much more friendly and had a better personality, I said ok to this girl Yan Yan, again minimum English but we got along well. I did not want her to lick my bum and gave that a miss, but all in all it was pretty good. On my exit one of the mamasans stopped me at the door and asked me if the girl did everything that was supposed to be done, from ass licking to BJ, and the lot. Pretty good session for that price. K-pressure at Woosung Street, Gordon, Kowloon. While in the area I did have a look at Temple street, had a few street walkers, some looked ok, did see some over sized Africans that were at the corner of a couple of streets trying to attract the men. Cheers.[/QUOTE]Not all cases, but in most, you get what you pay for. So if you are shelling anything less than 800, the girl isn't who was advertised. I've found that even the honey girls, only half are close to their online pics. But sometimes you luck out and when you get there you get to pick from a group of three and the other two girls just leave the room, so increases your odds to find a good one. So check your wallet first and then maybe you get the white skinned girl you dreamed of.

Those ad are beautifully produced, a bit like billboard posters and not like those shabby ad on craigslist. Went to other website and booked an appointment there using the email form there. Got a reply almost immediately, in simple but comprehensible English. I have experience in massage parlors in Hong Kong and was expecting more or less the same thing there. The place is right opposite to Lan Kwai Fong hotel, on the first floor of a small building. I think the place was very nice, probably not as classy as what the ad made out to be, but a tad more posh than the regular massage parlors in HK. From the deco, the craigslist ad and the website, I think they are trying to be different from their competitor. It is also apparent that their major customer demographic is expat.
A very, very, very. I mean, very. Beautiful Chinese girl manages the place. She speaks very good, albeit slightly accented, English so communication was no problem. She gave me a tour of the place. There is a VIP room with double bed and a bathtub. Enough to make your imagination run wild. I was not sure who to choose and there seemed to be no other girls in the premise. But as if by magic the manageress summoned up 3 girls out of nowhere for me to choose. I chose a tall girl with dyed purple hair. Massage was very good and teasing was long and sexy. She had no problem with touching.
After my first visit, I was thinking about that place all the time. It's difficult to focus at work when you know there is a naughty place for fun so close to your office. The walk ups will be mostly Chinese. Anyway you can always head to Escape which has a wide variety of Nationalities plying their trade.
