Women (and guys) will have their own definition of what they constitute as "cheating":

"I had sex with him/her, but we used a condom; so I did not cheat".

"I had sex with him/her, but I do not love him/her; so I did not cheat".

People have mentioned here more than once that sex in the DR is treated as a commodity. Dominicanos will use their wives or girlfriends to pay off debts. So the Western definition of cheating will not have the same meaning or contex in the DR were it is sometimes seen as a business transaction.

I met a monger in Sosua once who had is driver come from SD to pick him up. Two other chicas knew he was going to SD and wanted to ride along to get back home. My monger friend told me that they would be stopping at a Cabana on the way there, because it was understood that these chicas would have to pay their way to SD by fucking both him and the driver.

Me personally, it would be a stretch to claim that I knew my girl "doesn't cheat" if I am not living there 24/7, 365. Like Mr. E (as bad as it sounds), I'm sure there were a lot of guys onboard the ship telling their buddies that their wives "don't cheat" when I was busy proving otherwise, lol (I was Type-2 Sea Duty, so I never saw the inside of a ship). Had no idea I was kicking it on their couch with their wives and kids watching "Little Bill" on Nickelodeon.

I know it is hard to understand about not cheating but my girls apartment is above the owner of the house I rent with my girl. His girlfriend lives below has a baby with him and she does not go out. Does not cheat and the crazy thing he is not coming back to December. Barrio is very different happy to take people around if you PM you will see a very different side of santo domingo that you would not see. Some very hot chick's who are loyal and are not putas and at the same time you will see some of there friends who are putas that go to Sousa or work in the casa and everyone knows what they do. I am telling if you are comfortable in that environment you can meet a hot loyal chick, but you have to fit in. Again, you will never see me hit a strip club now I have a couple hot chick's in the barrios around santo domingo. If you all look back I put a picture up of one of my girls so you will see I do not play.

There are many and they are all basically similar. Guachupita, Gualey, San Carlos, Los Mina etc. Etc. A higher end neighborhood like Bella Vista or Naco is usually called a "sector".

Can a stranger get inside a barrio, without knowing anyone there. And just hangout say in a colmado drinking a beer etc. Or like what happens in some places, you are not welcome or viewed with suspicion by the local mafia and is outright dangerous?

Can anyone recommend a cheap studio /1 bed apartment or hotel (chica friendly of course) that I can pay for online in Santo Domingo, have never been to SD before. Also any hire car recommendations? How accurate and useful are the GPS sat nav they provide?

Where are these barrios that are supposed to be so dangerous? Whenever I go into a neighborhood I just see normal people doing normal things.

But try walking around the barrio alone not knowing anyone there late at night, and it could be it for you. Especially around 2 am when the Dominicans are drunk and packing weapons. Man stop pressing your luck with these risky situations.

One person's normal is another person's "OMFG, I died and went to hell and now one of these people is going to kill me then fuck me!

However, drive through that same barrio late night and you see no cars park on the street that tells you no one parks their cars on the street at night because there cars will be taken. I saw a robbery yesterday a kid on a motorbike reached in to a taxi and took a women's purse and drove off fast and got away things happen all the time and hopefully you will never see it. That same barrio a cop was killed for his gun a couple of months ago. Please never get over confident and drive through a barrio late night and not know what your doing. Your just asking for trouble. Visiting the maximum security prison in the DR, I spoke to a lot of inmates and the worse criminal you can face is one who is not educated and has no common sense they act on in pulse and believe me I am tough as they come but I am not stupid will always be smart when it comes to safety.

To the other question, how to have fun in the barrio go in to a place where you see a lot of people drinking order a beer and just hang around and someone will say Hello, offer some of your beer and a goodwill gesture like that will go a long way for 150 pesos. Just be smart and have fun and you will meet cool people.

Okay, give you example I was with another girl and was going to see my girl wanted her to think I just got in to santo domingo so I needed my car clean before I see her so she thinks I just got to santo domingo. It was late and there is a place by the park near her barrio where people wash cars they have the same spot each day and must pay the boss each day to use that spot. It was late and I had two bottle's of black label in the car my mistake for not watching they were smooth went in to car and took bottles out of the boxes and I did notice until I got home to my girls house. I notice then and I said okay tomorrow morning I will take care of. Now, understand I stay in barrio I know how it works. Long story short got up early went back to same spot. I knew they did not know I live there thought just a gringo traveling through. Well I love drama they were washing a car same group I got out the car and dumped a bucket full of water on man who stole bottle on his head then yelled get the mother fucking boss now and boss came running told him what happened police came over and within 20 minutes my bottles were back to me with one have a little drinking out of it. Police ask what I want to do I said you have family pay you. How it works you catch robbers you decide on punishment police happy and people told them you crazy do you know he lives here. Again, people who live and are in the barrio you get respect you viewed as a soft gringo you do not get respect. Not all girls cheat depends on the man and how he is viewed and respected where girl lives.[/QUOTE]I know because I check, every computer in my house has a keylogger application that I check, her cell phone that I bought has stealth genie which can capture and download everything from her phone. I can even turn it on to record background noise and download it. I have internet cameras in my house. I have a GPS tracking device in my car. I don't check that often anymore, but in the time I've been with her the worst she has done is complain to a few friends of something I have done and the complaint was valid.

She's a good country girl and values her situation, every so often I have to put her in her place. She screws up in other areas, but she is faithful.
