Thank you Rick Rock & Carnivore for your favorable and encouraging info. Regarding love hotels, I once stayed in one in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, without even knowing it is until a couple days later. I booked it through Agoda dot com. The room was great with all the amenities including toothbrushes and hairdryer. In the middle was a huge circular bed. There were even porn channels on TV (the Japanese kind where you have to have a lot of imagination). Unfortunately, I was not successful in getting girls to come to the hotel. I was not familiar with the local scene, did not speak Japanese and did not do enough research. After I left Japan, it hit me that I could have just asked the front desk, LOL.

I guess my next question is: when I book through hotel search engines, how can I tell if it's a love hotel? I guess looking at the pictures of the hotel will be a give-away?

It is now open to public but not totally destroyed yet. Follow the narrow path and in the middle of it, there's one vintage-looking store with about 3 ladies in mid 40th I think, who are probably got no place to go or maybe waiting for regular customer.
