Plenty of Chinese go to Philippines and Thailand for cheap vacation just like we do. So far there are no cancelled flights into those countries. If according to WHO virus can be easily transmissible everybody is taking a risk. Face mask or no face mask, sex or no sex. Even eating food may be contaminated. Add pollution to the mix.

It's a great time to travel as prices will be down and people will be scared so less of them will be traveling.

The USA has issued a "Do not travel" warning, so anyone from the US with travel insurance that goes there could void their policy.

I've just looked at flights to Wuhan for March as I have some business to take care of there, couldn't even book a flight online.

You guys should read the German FKK forums. Comedic. There is talk there to ban ALL Asians from FKK clubs. For those who don't know, some of the most popular FKK clubs like Sharks has a ton of Asian customers, mainly from USA and Japan.

Loved every minute of it. Stayed at hotel on Surawongse, had no problem getting girls to come there but would have had more fun staying near Pier 21 or JW Marriott area. Plenty of cheap hotels in the area.

Had tons of other things to do so only saw 3 girls. Asking rates of anywhere from 2,000 B to 6,000 B for 60-90 minutes. BBBJ, full service condom. Overnights can be had for 4-5,000 B for a good looking girl. Tinder and Line were both respectable sources.

Will repeat, often.

I am in SEA these days. I just spent one week in Pattaya, 5 days in Bangkok, and I am currently in Phnom Penh for 5 days. I noticed a concern among the Thai folks. You cannot even buy a mask these days as they ran out. My FL fav is a nurse at a Bangkok hospital and she claimed that she was able to secure a "superior" mask. She also offered to get me one but I declined. I also noticed that very few farangs were wearing one.

On the other hand, here in PP it's a different story. The Cambodian PM has been bitching about the population being unnecessary scared, read chasing away tourists.

I agree this would be a great opportunity to visit a place like Saõ Paulo. I have not been there in a while, unfortunately, I reserved my trip last November and I had no desire to cancel and start over.

It looks like most airlines have now suspended flights from China. This should of been done 2 weeks ago. Thailand is up to 19 confirmed cases with the most recent being the first human-to-human transmission of the coronavirus to occur inside LOS after a local Thai taxi driver was apparently infected by a Chinese traveller. Still, the suspension of all flights should do it ie contain the virus to China and keep Thailand safe.

You know as well as I do how the Thai government operates. I was going to stay here throughout February and then go over to Cambodia, but I'm leaving tomorrow. Mongering scene is horrible in Siem Reap but the air is clean, there's plenty of weed and stuff to take photos of and luxury condos are one-third the price of Bangkok. Hell, I have 10 km of carvings in anchor to photo. I'll come back to Bangkok when this all dies down.

I'll come back to Bangkok when this all dies down.[/QUOTE]The Angkor Wat Archaeological Park is amazing and Siem Reap as a town is actually nicer IMHO than Chain Mai plus this time of year it has cleaner air. But as you note, from a mongering perspective, nothing much is happening. Ha Ha. A week is about as much as I would care to spend there. So if you are at all like me and don't want to go too long without girls, ha ha, you will have to go to Phnom Penh sooner or later for quality boom boom.

I like Phnom and I like Khmer girls. I think they are sweet and kind of funky, but I think you will find the same China risks there in Phnom that you find in BKK and Pat. Up to you how you want to respond to that. Personally I think at this stage the virus outside of China is mostly news hype, although it might become serious and bears close monitoring for sure. So at this moment I would avoid China, HKG, and Macau, but that is all. I also think that even in non-eventful years, the worst time of the year to be in BKK or Pat is Dec / Jan. High Season. Things will get better, a lot better by April / May, but if I am wrong, like I said previously, I am prepared to jump ship and head to Sao Paulo. E tudo de bom!

It's surprising how one's perspective goes out of the window when the news coverage is so intense and emotive. 60 people die on Thai roads every day. This is a substantially higher rate than the death rate from nCoV across the whole of China (current total 259), and no-one has so far died outside China. Yet nobody says "I'm not coming to Thailand because the roads are unsafe".

I have a trip to Pattaya booked in 2 weeks time. I'm not cancelling unless the situation in Thailand spirals dramatically. And I'm looking forward to less Chinese roaming the streets.

The Asian hunters as they are called are very busy chasing after the Asian punters. I have seen it for myself.

Due to the outbreaks, specially Thailand has a lot of Chinese tourist even before the outbreaks become pandemic, so at this present period how many taxi drivers, bar girls, hotel staff have been infected? Nobody knows, the incubation period tooks at 14 days so known outbreaks in China began (officially) January 23rd then its not known how many Thais are already got infected? Specially bar girls, massage girls that come in close contact with any Chinese man during those periods.

So scary, thinking of postponing my trip this month to BKK.

But if you carry the nCoV home with you there is a risk of infecting your family, friends, acquaintances, and work colleagues. Not to mention the people you come in contact with during transit.

Yes of course if you contact any transmittable condition including incidentally STD'S you are a carrier with the possibility of infecting others. However the likelihood of contacting the corona virus pales into insignificance when compared to the chances of being killed or seriously injured on Thailand's roads and yet this is rarely mentioned or even considered when deciding to holiday here. It's a matter of perspective and balance and the hysteria coming from the way the media is covering the outbreak is wholly over sensationalized. This is in no way to dismiss or trivialise the hundreds of deaths in China but we are talking hundreds in a country of 1,300,000 000 people many of whom would probably have died from underlying medical problems anyhow.
