It seems you are enjoying your stay in BKK and based on your revelations about a lesbian being able to find action and the question above, it's clear you are a newbie to BKK. Whether you are straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, a lady boy, whatever, you will find action. What you have not picked up on is that almost any bar (go-go, pool bar, J-Bar, Sports Bar, Karaoke Bar, etc.) has a bar fine option. Generally around 500-600 baht. All of the girls are available, and that is why some board members will be "stunned" by your question. The waitresses, girls sitting around the bar or playing pool with the customers, etc. are there for the asking.

Do not take offense to some of the replies. Many have been in the BKK scene so long, they forgot what it was like the first time. To put your question in perspective, it was like being stranded on a tiny tiny tiny island in the middle of the Pacific ocean and asking where I can find salt water! lol!

I have picked up girls from Hillary I and II. I picked up a few in the internet cafes (free lancers). There are take out options at many of the massage places (foot, oil, etc.). You can go to the soapies for a true BKK experience. Some guys have even met hotel staff during their off hours, but please be very discreet if you are going to attempt this. You could get them fired. Obviously you would need to meet up at some other hotel where they do not work and make sure no one sees the initial discussion.

There are by various counts somewhere between 30,000 to 100,000 girls available for pickup in Thailand. Many of them are in BKK. That is why the thud you heard was the BKK veterans falling over when you posed your question. Just smile and if they smile back, make your move and find out if they work for the bar. If not, they are a free lancer. That simple.

bamboo beer bar opposite the Grace Hotel has more than the occassional freelancer, head down to near Siam Square and hang out. There are so many little bars where you can find a gem. Go into a bar if it doesnt do anything for you then move on to the next, then the next, then the next.

Of corse I didn't show the camera openly and it was compact one (Canon Ixus 800iX) . Don't think that they check your pocket.

there are heaps of bars where you can meet more than just go go girls - Head down toward Siam Square - Hard Rock Cafe, also head down towards Ekamai, there is a lot of choice even the bamboo beer bar across from the Grace Hotel, the waitresses at the Busstop in Soi 4, of course if you wander in and nothing takes your fancy then move on.

Or just sit down in one of the street restaurants after 2 am on Sukhumvit and watch the people (girls) passing by.

Some of them even have bar fine options for their waitresses.

All of us vacationer/mongers want only a sure thing so we dont mind paying for it.

Dont get me wrong, I think "Freebies " are ok if you have the time to invest with pursuing the gal--but its still no guarantee she will put out in the end.

BTW: "freebies"--is a bit of a misnomer as all the freebies in my life ending up costing much more than just paying someone for the deed.

I am planning a week in BKK near the end of September and am looking for some advice on where in the city would be good for a first timer to stay. After RTFF a bit it seems like Sukhumvit area would do nicely. Can anyone tell me if I am on the right track? Am thinking maybe Ariston Hotel, does anyone have any knowledge of this hotel?

Was past month for a short visit in BKK. Of course went off to NEP. Heard alot of bad things about it...but was not all true.

I enjoyed the gals at the RB bars...really topnotch. Frankly there are so many gals here. It's a bit of a buyers market if you are not just after the young starlets.
A beautifull 25+ wanted LT for 2000bht. She was not so hot here compared with the young beauts...but she was still topnotch compared with lesser bars.

Looks like you have not read the thread. NEP is the Nana Entertainment Plaza or Nana Plaza for short. The parking lot across the street is a hangout for the girls as well as some of the bars around the area. Center court of Nana, there's a couple of bars as well. Angels (Nana Disco) across from Nana Plaza also has some lookers late night, but the cover charge has gone up. I think 500B, which includes a drink.

Be sure to at least flip through the last 20-30 pages of this thread. Don't bother reading too many of the stories. Comb through the thread for the hot spots. Read the Reports of distinction thread as well. Do your homework. You will be glad you did. There are just so many cool places to hit, that you would be well advised to jot down notes on a note pad before you go.

If you forget, just drop into the nearest internet cafe and hit the website while you are in BKK, for a quick update. Most of all have fun.
