Secrets is overpriced for what you get. A small box with bar noise and noicy maids early in the morning. The only good thing about the rooms is the location: very close to all the action.

Yeah...the other day the sat tv had some program about the US Senate having meetings......the main course of events was one Senator talking about the sex action on Soi 6 and another Senator was chiming in about all the ladyboys that were there...they passed a new law US 7474638.45.69 (law outlawing sex on Soi 6 in the daytime)...it was a horror. Another Senator said something about some financial crisis.....he was then told to sit down and shut up....as this Soi 6 matter was a lot more important.

On my secondtrip to P-land. Here is my report..

It seems like tourism is way down. It is not high season yet but there are a lot more girls in the beer bars of Soi7/8 than customers. The girls seem more desperate. There also seem to be more over the hill ladies in 30s/40s that should be retired from the game. I assume that some of the younger beauties have headed home or to Bangkok or Phuket because of the lack of business.

Pattaya is still fun. No evidence of Bar closures in the afternoon as has been reported before although they seem a little quieter and low key. Everything is open. Hotels all have vacancies.

I have taken a few girls that have only been in Pattaya for a short time and not had many customers ( I know they all say that but I can usually tell). These are not beauties but are ok looking, try harder and not jaded. They almost always orgasm if I work on them a little bit. At night I pick ladies from the Go-gos or beer Bars. Silver Star2 on Soi7 has some real lookers.

All girls I have had are up for BBBJ, and FS in any position. Generally GFE. I am picking a certain kind of girl though. All agree to LT and teh ST girls I take want to go for LT.

I haven't negotiated for pricing and pay the standard $1K short time and $2K long time. No tip unless they are exceptional. all of the girls seem happy with this.

In short, Pattaya is still a great place to go and seems to be a buyers market now.

And March and spent several nights in a live music venue just several strides into Walking Street on the right. Cannot remember the name, but maybe somebody can help me out there. Many of the folks come back night after night because the entertainer talent is equal to what I have heard in vegas or Manila or BKK. Just to mention a few: a trumpet player, Thai who is rather short and squat who can really play that horn and who does a great impersonation of Louis Armstrong, two female singers with mucho talent, one of whom does great version of Whitney Houston's "I will always love you", a really great saxophonist, equally good trombonist and alternating Elvis impersonators every night at eleven. There are two or three bands that rotate during the evening without an intermission-very different from American venues where they break every 30 mins. Or so! These groups play a great variety of music-light rock, show tunes, pop, thai. Dark interior which makes for a coochy, coochy atmosphere with your honey ko! Would see all the folks streaming on down Walking Street not knowing what they were missing. Can somebody help me with name? Assume same group is still performing there as I have had great times there for past two years.

gone up to double in two months?

What I wonder is in view of the political situation this year would the hotels
maintain their August rates? I went around enquiring hotels and I was told a
few start their high season rates from October 16.

Anywhere but Go-gos one should be able to get 500 short and 1,000 long.

From my previous post it would not be hard to work out that I a not a big fan of smoking. Not that I am against people smoking, I just don't like them doing it around me!

So when I heard about the smoking ban in Thailand, I could not think of a better excuse than to come and have a look for myself.

One must admit it is not enforced in Thailand, like it is in the UK, or probably rest of Europe now. But it does give the non-smoker some choice.

Most indoor restaurants are now smoke-free along with some bars and Go Go bars. If you exclude outside bars, I would guess it is about 50/50!

It was nice to go into Peppermint Ago go in Walking Street and sit where we wanted.
Normally what happens is I get a good position with a perfect view. Then someone will sit next to me and spark up, so I have to move. After 2/3 moves you end up in the worst position ever! I think Daddy07 was complaining a couple of weeks ago about a similar situation. His was caused by impolite waitresses. Where as mine is caused by selfish smokers.

To be fair, I was a little disappointed that the smoking ban was not fully enforced, but it was a marked improvement! So much so, that I canceled my planed trip to Angeles City, where it is impossible to find a smoke free restaurant! And had an extra week in Pattaya! That’s it now; I’ll put my soap box away!

I was in no drastic rush to get to Pattaya, So I decided to take the bus to see what it was like. (127thb from Ekkamai Bus terminal four stops from Nana on the BTS)
It was Ok, stop a couple of times to pick up just out side bkk, and then on our way. I would guess about 30 mins longer than taxi, but a lot cheaper! (my first BF will be free)

As it is now low season the pickings are easy. My Mo is to go out early, about 7pm, and walk around looking for the spinners. Sometimes not even stopping at the bar for a drink, I would Bf a girl, and tell them I will be back later. I do not discuss services or price!

I am happy with what ever service they are happy to give! If they don’t question payment they get 500 St 1000 LT with 200 tip.

I find it best to do this whilst there is still a good selection of girls available and with no beer goggles! Sometimes, I give them a choice, you can come with me now, or I will come back for you at 12-1am. Generally they prefer to stay at bar, and get tips and lady drinks. This suits me as I get feed up with the same conversation anyway. The rest of the evening, if the girl decides to stay at bar, I can relax with friends and not have to worry about bar fining. If you do see another spinner, you can always bf for the next night!

Most of my BF was from Soi 7 area. Anna Jets, World Wide Bar, Denis the Menace and the two bars opposite.

But I also did a couple of freelancers from the disco in Walking Street called Underground! A tad noisy inside, but it’s free to get in and a beer is 75thb. If I saw a girl I liked in Underground, I would approach her and ask if she goes with man, if yes I would pass her my mobile and get her number. Success rate was 2 out of 2! Neither ended well tho!

Nam was the first girl, I phoned her up for a afternoon session, and we agreed she would come to my hotel at 2pm for 1000thb ST. (a tad expensive but no BF and I only tipped 100) Everything went good, and we went for something to eat and drink afterwards. We did not agree to meet again and she left about 5pm with 1100thb. Anyway I receive this text at 2:30am whilst at my regular bar, called “World Wide Bar” on Soi 7. This was one of the bars where I had a problem bf different girl. It would not be a problem now because, the girl that I had BF before for two days called Tik was now visiting family. So I quickly asked to BF the 19 cutie that I had had My eyes on for a few days. I dropped by a few weeks ago. It's one of the first places on the right hand side when entering into Walking street. Don't remember if it was 160 or 180 for a Singha, but I only had one.

EB[/QUOTE]I was in Pattaya in September. And you are right. There are many girls around and they are desperate. Now. You are overpaying. I never paid more than 500 baht for ST and 1000 Baht for LT. (and some for free) I didn't even bar fine most of them. What I would do is get there number and call them when they are off of work or they would call me. In Low season there is no reason to pay a bar fine. Even if you do pay the fine, there is no reason to pay more than 500 ST and 1000 LT.

Sorry, I haven't been online for a while and couldn't add my advice until now.
Ever think of the Queen Victoria Inn on Soi 6. If you want action, you need only walk out the door.
Apart from that, for 800 bhat a night you get a pretty big room with ensuite. The lady who cleans the room is a gem, as long as you have that do not disturb sign on the door, she won't, even at 3pm. If something goes wrong with the room, it will be fixed before you can cough. The place is an 'English Pub', and the owner Vic is an Englishman and good chap. You can get great food of all types there, morning, evening and night, and it has free wifi.
Soi 6, as well as having many, many bars, also has whatever else you need-pharmacy, launderette, 7/11, travel agent, and a short walk to Beech rd and the bhat bus to get to more action.
If you budget for 2200/day, how about 800 and spend the rest on having fun. Seriously, the QV is no shit-hole, not a cheap option, it is a good quality establishment with that personal touch and security.
I have no connection with the place whatsoever, other than I have stayed there twice. If you want to spend 2200/night for fancy wallpaper, a bellboy and designer sheets, fair enough. If you want clean, safe, 3+star comfort-try the QV. Check out its website-Google it.

The P72 Hotel is right on Walking Street, opposite Lucifer's Disco. They just completed a new wing last year with very nice rooms B1200-up, Rooms in the old wing run B650 to B800.
Can't get any closer to the action than that.
