Walkabout Hotel is on the corner of street 174 and street 51. If you walk up street 174 for one block you come to Street 63. If you turn left on street 63 and walk one block you come to street 178. If you continue walking for a half block (on the left hand side) you come to a small alley (or drive way, which is about 15 feet wide). On the corner of the alley and Street 63 is a place called Cafe Trang Ngyuen (or similar spelling). It has a white front, and a big double door opening. methinks you have missed my point.

I have spent enough time in Asia to understand fully how the scene works but am pointing out how World Vision are saying things that we should all be aware of. It is these sort of statements that make it more and more difficult to justify trips to Cambodia!!

After a quick chat with the guy who was robbed it seems that the situation was a little more concerning.....

Previous advice in the city has always been to 'never resist' and 'just give the mugger what you have' but on this occassion there was not any request for money and, after being stopped, he was struck from behind and left in a pool of blood.

I'm thinking that the couple of 'big fellows' that work from Walkabout may begin to get more business so as to provide further peace of mind. (Seriously one of these guys is about 6 1/2 feet tall and looks a little strange on moto!).

Yes, it is a shame what is happening in PP! It is a shadow of what is was in just as recent as 2003. Too many tourists, overpaying & posting on the net.
