Bangkok Reports
My experience was the opposite, the second visit was worst than the first and so was the third (and last.). But I am not a regular, just visiting hardly once a year, so not special status.

To each his own, but I think it is good to have introduced a bit of criticism on Eden, so newbies will have more balanced views, and probably more realistic expectations.
I agree with this completely. My second time at Eden was worse than the first time. For me Eden is just too mechanical and as another poster said, there is no build up just right to the sex. And the women are barely average in looks. I think it's absolutely a place to check out if you haven't before because it's so different, but I don't intend to go back.

the noodly prelude
i used to live near a japanese noodle place in la called nagoya. they served the most delicious nagoya-style ramen i have ever had. it came in a red sesame-broth, with loads of different vegetables (mushrooms, carrots, spinach, celery, etc), and your choice of various meats. i would go there after work, or whenever i was particularly low on sugar, and order a veggie bowl.

i remember sitting there, waiting for my order to arrive, fingers fidgeting, smelling the odor of that delectable broth waft out of the kitchen, anxiously exchanging glances with the other equally anxious customers. we were all there for our sugar fix (noodles being as close to pure sugar as a food stuff can get), and we just couldn’t get it into our mouths fast enough.

when the bowl arrived, i would always look at it and think “oh man, that is not going to be enough…maybe i should order another bowl right now, so the second bowl arrives when i am finishing this first one…” i never would order the second bowl though.

the chop sticks would be ready to go, and as soon as the server’s hands were out of the way, i was pulling the first delightful strands of ramen out of the rich, red soup and slurping it up with complete disregard for my white work shirt. hot, silky ramen would hit my tongue, the tasty, spicy soup filled my mouth, bits of mushroom were swallowed whole without the patience for chewing even. i devoured the stuff like a man possessed, and for the first few, greedy mouthfuls i would be thinking “man, this is not going to be enough…i really should order another bowl…maybe two extra bowls this time?” but to order another bowl would mean i would need to stop stuffing the beautiful carbs into my face for a moment, long enough to compose myself, get the attention of the waiter, and place the order. fuck it – it was always easier to just gorge myself on the ramen in front of me.

as the ramen diminished, and as i approached the middle of the bowl, my frenetic pace would likewise diminish. i began to regain my senses again, my self-respect slowly returning. i started to realize that i was being stared at by the other guests. well, at least the ones who had finished their bowls and had the blood-sugar levels to look at me in disgust. the other guests were just fidgeting with their fingers waiting for their bowl, or embarrassing themselves the same way i was. but i started to slow down, the panic of having to get the noodles into me slowly being replaced by a more well-paced appreciation for the flavors.

and as you might predict, as i neared the end of the bowl, my blood sugar level reaching a peak, i began to feel nauseous. the sudden onslaught of carbs had flooded my system with sugar, and my head would begin to feel very light and airy at this point. i never flagged in my desire to consume every last drop of that delicious broth, to nab every little bit of mushroom and celery, but by the time i was scraping the bottom of the bowl, i knew i was done. a second bowl would just never be consumed, absolutely not with the same vigor and delight, and it would probably not even get finished. i was so full, so nauseous, so satiated that i could not even think of another bowl of that stuff. in fact, i needed to get out of that restaurant because the smell pouring from the kitchen was just so damned sickening, it made me want to vomit. and those damned customers slurping and lip-smacking, noodle-broth flying all over their faces and shirts – it made me sick watching them guzzle the food like shameless heathens. i would walk out of that noodle store completely satisfied and overly-satiated, convinced that i would never want to eat noodles again. until the next afternoon at 4pm when the urge returns.

the point?
why am i telling you all this? well, the same cyclical pattern of total, unfettered greed > measured appreciation > complete satiation, usually exhibits itself in my mongering trips to thailand. i usually arrive like a starved working man, unable to restrain myself, eager to fuck anything in sight. i sex myself silly for an indeterminate period of time, oblivious to the shame to my character and the filth on my clothing, before the desperate panic subsides. i then have a few days of clarity in which i really appreciate what i am experiencing – a window of enlightened experience, if you will. but this is soon replaced by satiation, after which i begin to get sick of the experience. i start to wonder what else there is in the monger’s experience. do i really want to expend the energy to go out and find yet another girl? a girl who will play yet the same show of money vs. pleasure? who will do yet the same things with me? is it really worth my effort?

my past trips have typically been month-long affairs, and so you can see how daily sex (sometimes more than daily) can have that effect on a man. but this time, my trip will be much shorter – more like 9 days. and add to that the fact that i will be working all day every day, this is going to be one hell of a strenuous 9 days. but what is a man to do?

so my goal over the 9 day trip is to try to understand, introspect on, examine, and perhaps (dare i say it?) *control* the above-described pattern. i wonder if the panic i feel at the beginning of a trip is generalized to all pleasurable sensory input? i wonder if thinking about it and trying to understand it will in any way inhibit it? or exaggerate it? i wonder if this might increase/decrease the overall satisfaction i get from the full 9 days? i wonder if i can control the decrease in pleasure i get as the trip wears on? i wonder if i can get on that plane at the end of the trip and be in a state of mind that is different from usual – that is, eager to return, knowing full well what i am leaving behind. let’s see how this unfolds.

fair warning
my reports are not for all. as you can see already, i am verbose, to the point of being painful for some. if this is you, please don’t read my reports.

i include loads of details, but i don’t succinctly package them for you like other posters do. instead, i contextualize everything. so if i say i paid 10,000b for one night with a girl, then i will also tell you exactly why i did such an extreme thing. you wont be left thinking i am irrational (or maybe you will, who knows), but you will get my full rationale for my actions. some people don’t like this – they want the how much, how long, how many times, and info on where they can get the same, summarized into four lines. if this is you, please don’t read my reports.

i am often opinionated in that i will write my reports expressing my own, often unusual, perspective on mongering, without regard to the general mood of this forum. that is, crude exploitation of the ladies is not my thing. if i am completely honest, i exploit them in a more sophisticated way. i prefer to think of it less as exploitation and more of sharing an experience, but that may be delusion on my part. if you prefer the ‘i fucked her hard and paid her shit’ kind of reports, please don’t read my reports.

and finally, i enjoy writing. i think of it as mental masturbation, and like the regular masturbation, i like to do it long and slow. so if you don’t want to share in this activity, please, just don’t read my reports. i am sure i am on a couple of people’s buddy lists, but i am also sure i am on a whole lot of other people’s ignore lists. this fair warning is an attempt to head off mindless and unnecessary flames for the above things. a futile attempt, i know, but still.

I'm starting to salivate already at the prospect of some tasty stories. Just don't make them too sugary... :)

Kumbu, I hear what you are saying and I have a suggestion for you: pace yourself. My trips are all 30 to 45 day affairs. When I get away from the grind; I really want to unwind. I plan ahead but experience has shown me I always plan for more than I eventually do. Spending 45 days in South Asia (travelling to HKG, BKK, Pat, and Macau) for example, I always think about hitting this massage parlor or that sauna or bar in the late afternoon and then checking out this Go Go or that Hostess Bar after dinner. So adding up all my pre-trip planning, I calculate shagging a couple of girls a day, multiple times. But something always happens after about the first week of the trip that slows me down. Call it the law of diminishing marginal returns; I start to lose the desire. I can still get it up, the problem is not physical. It’s just too much of a good thing, my appetite decreases, and I start to feel satiated.

The remedy is self evident. I just let it go, relax and allow for my batteries to recharge. My desire always returns full force in one or two days and the party begins again, fresh. So while I may plan, pre-trip on banging 2 girls a day x 45 days which equals 90 girls, it never happens. My cumulative totals may vary, but nowadays I can accurately place my over/under at 33 girls total or getting laid on average 75% of days in the trip. This is my pace and like long distance running, I can keep it up and enjoy it for a very long time. When I exceed my pace for over a week, I begin to lose the desire. When I do less, I start to get randy if you know what I mean.

Sometimes I like to take a breather and head for a great beach for 4 or 5 days, no babes. In effect, I take a vacation from my trip. Last time in LOS, for example, I spent 10 days in BKK and 2 weeks in Pat, but in between, I relaxed and recharged in Ko Chang for 4 days. When I got back to Pat, I was on fire. On my next trip, I am planning to take 5 days off on Sabang Beach, Palawan in between 2.5 weeks in PI (Macau, AC and MNL), before heading to BKK and Pat for 3 weeks. This may not work for you, but it is something to consider IMHO.

Sadly most of us know intuitively that your plan makes sense but sometimes when its a compromise between lack of time and available shagging moments, the shagging wins out. A recent Manila trip had me doing 3 in one day and a total of 8 in 3 days. Heaven but exhausting.

Your plan makes way more sense.

one man’s opinion, please don't drone on, it borders on self-aggrandizement.

Henryv, this has come up before and the majority of forum members enjoy reading Kumbu's, IMHO excellent reports. So I suggest:

"If you don't like another Forum Member's reports, then simply add them to your "Ignore List" and you'll never see their reports again.

You can access your personal "Ignore List" under your User CP. Just login, select "User CP" from the top menu bar, then select "Buddy / Ignore Lists" from the left side column."

I must agree. Now, where is the Kumbu report?? I want now, like Kae in Nana.

Please do NOT put me in that group,

I love a good story , a slice of the nightlife from a good writer is a treat that we do not often see here,

Kumbu tells a good story and I look forward to each chapter....

And you can always put him on ignore if it bores you :)

Henry, here's what you don't get and I'm not sure why. Kumbu's reports really do contain a lot of "hard facts." Take the time to read his reports and you will find a lot of useful information whether it's taking the bus to Pattaya, his critique
of discos, prices of hotels, or whatever.

The only thing I can think of is that you are not a native English speaker and you have trouble digesting Kumbu's reports.

I'm a native English speaker and I generally skip reading Kumbu's reports because I consider them self-aggrandizement.
I'm a native English speaker and I generally skip reading Kumbu's reports because I consider them self-aggrandizement.
A few lives back, when I was a full time skibum (for over 20 years), we used to say that some guys were "legends in their own minds."

Not that this was always derogatory, as "the legend" was usually entertaining, one way or another... ;)

Regarding Khun Kumbu, I say let him write all he wants. I find his approach refreshing in a world that is fast becoming a seas of short and vapid one line communications, and badly composed pussy shots.
One man’s opinion, please don't drone on, it borders on self-aggrandizement.

Most of us are only interested in hard facts that will help us all have a good time.
So why did you repost his whole report so that we see it twice?

But 'self-aggrandizement'?! Have you actually read any of his reports?

Anyway, hard facts are a fairly subjective point on this forum... There is a post on a parallel thread that says, in summary, went into bar, saw stunning 19yo waitress with perfect figure, gave her 300Bht for ST, shagged every hole and now she wants to be my gf. May be all hard facts, but it ain't never gonna happen to me... I much prefer Kumbu's thoughtful posts that I can actually relate to.

"Most" is a dangerously elastic word. In this case, the "one man's opinion" is yours and yours alone.

Personally: It takes about a minute to read each of Kumbu's supremely entertaining reports, (an excellent use of bandwidth IMHO.) If you don't like them, don't read them, simple as that. Just don't apply your "most" ethic to anyone else here.

I found his last series of reports from last trip were great and looked forward to his daily updates.

Then again I used to also regularly await the newspaper delivery boy sending the Beano and Dandy thru the mailbox back in the 60. S LOL.
