The map thing (on the iphone) came in handy, when I drove him to the metro station for his trip to sosua, he was able to tell me when to turn.

I know most of this shit needs to be on the Boca Chica thread but I'm putting it here.

I went scuba diving in Boca Chica yesterday morning. I was supposed to do an afternoon session as well but I said fuck it. I was ready to get up to Sosua. It was only 11:30 so I called up a girl I met on Dominican Cupid the day before who lives in San Pedro de Macoris. She told me it was only 30 minutes from Boca Chica. I wanted to go check out Juan Dolio, which is on the way, anyway. I finally got to San Pedro and called the girl. Now she tells me she lives in a place called Consuelo. What the fuck? We went back to her house and I will be damn if it wasn't on the same street as the health center about 1km away. These Dominicans. I fucked around with her for a few minutes but when she rejected my idea of going to a cabana I made an excuse that I had to take my friend to Puerto Plata.

Dammit. On my drive there I saw a nice chica in a blue dress on the side of the highway trying to get a ride. As usual I was driving too fast to stop. I regretted it because she was sexy. So on the way back I saw another chica on the opposite side of the highway. I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to say I have mongered with the chicas on the outskirts of Juan Dolio so I got off at the next exit and turned around. While driving I put all of my valuables up and just kept 400 pesos accessible. I could not remember the going rate for that venue but figured that was enough. I hit the road again and stopped for gas at the Shell in Boca Chica. I told the guy to fill it up. It came to 902 and I handed him 1000. Why did this mf act like he didn't owe me any change? After a couple of minutes I had to call him out. He then gave me 50 pesos in coins from the top of the pump. I said that I want all of my change. He gave me 40 more from the same place. Fuck it, I'm already late as hell because I'm trying to beat the darkness so I don't have time for these bullshit games. I let him keep the 8 and I drove off. I got to the entrance of La Samana highway at 4:35. I arrived at the end in Nagua at 5:41. At 7pm darkness caught up with me. I was still a ways from Sosua and had to go down these crazy ass pothole streets in pitch darkness except for dim ass motorcycle lights and Dominicans driving SUVs in both directions with their Hi beams on. I arrived in Sosua at 7:45.

I never make reservations. I just always show up. I went to Sosua Bay and guess what? No rooms! The girl said it usually happens on the weekends. Guys check in on Friday and leave out Sunday. I guess I don't spend many weekends in Sosua. I decided to go over to the Europa and if that didn't work just call one of my girls in Puerto Plata and act like I came early to surprise her and stay at her house. I'm staying there Sunday and Monday anyway so I would just switched my planned Sosua days. Well the Europa had rooms. I paid $90 for 2 nights ($45 per night). They even have wifi in the rooms now and 13 inch flat screen TVs in a 14X16 room. Works for me. I don't watch TV anyway.

I thought they were pretty good. Could have been more meat on the bone, but will repeat.

@Mani: I guess I am guilty as well. I rarely ever leave Sosua without eating ribs a Rocky's at least twice, LOL. And this is coming from a Texan :D.

BTW: I used to hear that there was a guy that owned a rib place on the beach (black owner, I think) but I never got around to checking the place out. Anyone know if his place is still around?

I agree with you those ribs sucked, honestly I thought they might be dog ribs or something. I would never order them. There chicken is ok but nothing great. Breakfast is ok. But honestly I can't even see eating there. There are better choices.

So Rockys ribs are another forum famous ribs then.

I'll have to try their breakfast too, many have said they do a good breakfast.

Though you couldn't pay me to stay at Terra Linda I have to give the devil their due,the food in their restaurant is top notch although pricey.

Usually when I am on the beach his place his closed. I think it is only open certain days. As Murphy's Law would have it, as soon as I left Rocky's and went to the beach he was out cooking and all the tables were filled. Maybe I will check it out tomorrow before I leave for Puerto Plata.

It is never my primary raison d'etre. My first couple of times in places like Sosua, Rio, Bangkok I used the P4P more, but after I get used to a place and learn my way around, start learning the language, or start living there then most of my time is dedicated to non-pros. Did you ask her before if she was going to be able to stay with you? Most chicas that I know can not because they live with their families or have to get back home to their kids or something. Hell, my ex-girlfriend in SD had her own place and still had to lie to her dad and I could not stay there. Why? Because he was the one paying all the bills. IMHO there is a stark difference between P4P and non-pro territory here.

The first rule of Cupid is to always have a backup. And the second rule is to always have a backup to the backup. And the third rule is to always know where your P4P can be found. She took me around to all these stores looking for one. I finally ended up buying one at La Sirena. She was supposed to be at work at 2 but didn't even separate from me until 2:15 after she led me to Las Americas Hwy. So she can be a good friend but she is not ready to give up the panties.

So my new main SD girl who is in law school and sells real estate was supposed to come over my first day. I met her on Cupid the night before I came. She had told me 6:30 and did not even call. When I called her she said something about a meeting running late. It was cool with me because I was out with Jao. This is the P4P backup I was talking about. The girl promised she would come the next day at 6:30 and would make it up to me. The next day she was early. I was half way back from a buddy's house in Boca Chica when she called saying she was at the hotel. I got there and the first thing I did was hug her and try to kiss her in the mouth. She accepted. To make a long story short by 10pm we were fucking. I'll report on that in the SD thread when I get a chance.

So if you stick to the rules you will be alright. I try to caution guys about dating sites anywhere because many times the women are not dependable. If you don't go to the place often or have a very short stay then I would recommend only doing the P4P scene. This is my longest trip. I am here for 9 days this time. I have time to burn so I can afford to gamble with the Cupid site. And I have a car so I can drive around and meet chicks, learn new stuff, and waste all the time I want.
